I was able to do these previously just from my laptop. Not sure if this has changed but I took advantage of both the $10 Fab and $5 Sephora. 😀

    • micaelareid

how did you get the sephora one?

  2. ML

I got this app last time…just a heads up…in fine print it says that if your facebook account is passive (I dont use mine much except for coupon stuff) it will automatically cancel you (my giftcard was not useable)

  3. beefjirki@yahoo.com

So there’s no way to turn these into an online code to make a purchase online? Stores are too far away for me.

    • Suzy

I used both the Fab and Sephora online– not sure about the others– but that was a month or so ago. Not sure if this has changed.

  4. tammi

These are great and I’ve used a few of them – they come off your order just like a gift card when you check out!

  5. Melanie Reed

It looks like if you already have the app downloaded all you have to do is share a $5 giftcard (it will be free) with three new friends and they will give you a free $5 giftcard to Office Max tomorrow. 🙂

  6. Ann

The last time this deal popped up, my sister and I downloaded the app and shared the gifts with each other. Both of us were turned down by Office Depot and Sephora to use these “gift cards”. The Sephora store staff looked at me like I was trying to pass a fraudulent coupon (which was embarrassing). Please be careful when you use this app and “gift cards”, I personally do not trust this. Just a warning…

Sorry about that, on my cell and hit publish by mistake! Lol.. Anyway, I was able to use my sephora gc as well as my sister, the cashier even knew about wrapp. I did have a problem at office depot though and after getting hold of someone higher up the cashier hesitantly accepted it.

    • Andrea

Same here. My Office Depot flat out refused it, manager and all. Quite embarrassing. 🙁

    • Kurls

I’ve used a sephora gift card and multiple gap gift cards without a problem. I would call Gap’s customer service about this or post a quick note on Wrapp Facebook page.
It’s new and might not be familiar to many employees:-/

I’ve tried this $5 promo card at two different Office Depots. Neither the clerk nor the manager knew anything about it, so I couldn’t use it. I called the 1-800# and they didn’t know, so they transferred me to some gift card # which also had no clue. I emailed Office Depot & they never answered. Any suggestions on how I can get this $5 card to be accepted? Thanks for any help!!

    • EJ

Hi Loretta – They tried to enter it as a promo for me, but it’s actually a real ‘gift card’. They had to try it a second time and it seemed to work fine. If there’s an issue try support@wrapp.com

      • Loretta

thanks EJ! I appreciate your help & will give that a try. Have a great day! 🙂

  8. Julie

Do you need a facebook account to send gift cards or can you just download app on phone?

  9. Melanie Reed

Has anyone tried deleting, then re-installing to get one of their promos? I already have Wrapp but maybe I can delete it then sign up again to get the Office Depot card?

  10. Angie

It keeps telling me that my acccount violates their terms of service?

  11. Jessica f

I cant get any of them to work on my iPhone 🙁

  12. Tina

I get the message we’re sorry, we think this account violates our terms of service. If you believe this to be a mistake, please contact Wrapp support. This is a Facebook account I use all the time, so I’m not sure why I am getting that message. I guess I will pass on the deal, since so many are having issues using the gift cards in the store.

    • Loretta

maybe I should call Wrapp and see if they can tell me how to use this darn office depot card, since no one there knows & obviously doesn’t care enough about customers to even answer an email.

    • Kelly

That happened last time when my kids tried signing up under me. I emailed Wrapp and they ended up telling me that my kids were fake because their Facebook accounts didn’t meet their “standards”.
      Never again.

      • bali

I think they look at how many friends you have on fb to avoid fake accounts. If i remember correctly, you have to have a minimum of 25 friends or so?

        • Kelly

That may be so but IMO that’s ridiculous because some people do not have many friends on Facebook. That is a completely invalid method of determining a persons authenticity — and then to send out a harsh email accusing you of being fake? Yeah, I don’t think so.

  13. Guest

    I got this message:

    We’re sorry.

We think this account violates our terms of service. If you believe this to be a mistake, please contact Wrapp support

  14. Samantha

I haven’t had any issues with this app at all. In fact, it’s one of my favorite apps. I’ve used a handful of gift cards for various purchases, both in-store and online, and never had any problems. I’ve purchased from Roots, H&M, Sephora, Levi’s, Gap, Brooklyn Industries – super easy.

  15. gigi

How do you get the free ones? I downloaded the app and only see giftcard valued at $10+ that are not free. 🙁

  16. ML

this is what i stated earlier….it violates their terms if you have a “passive facebook account” <—how they determine this or what they consider passive i have No idea…but this is what they told me after trying twice at office depot then e-mailing Wrapp with my problem trying to redeem. I did complain to them/Wrapp that they DO NOT state this clearly enough.

  17. Kitty

I have used the free $5 gift cards at gap and Office Depot with no problems. Love it!

    • Kitty

I’ve already claimed the Office Depot so it won’t let me get it again FYI

  18. patrick

no issues getting the gift cards and using them here – as far as violating terms, often times its bc u are under 18 or fb has ur bday as under 18 – most of these apps state 18+ for being able to use – once it shows violated, no way to change without emailing support and have them look into it and fix.

  19. bali

I used one of these at Office Depot a few weeks ago. He tried entering it in various ways but I don’t think it worked – he ended up entering it as a random store credit and was super nice about it too. My Office Depot rocks 😀

  20. rosebudds

I don’t like that app. I went to Office Depot the day mine expired and it gave an error message. I was so mad I wasted my time and looking for stuff that I could get for a little over five dollars. I found some clearance Crayola color wonder products, got the approval to use my manufacture coupon and could not use the application for the free gift card.

  21. pharmchick

how do you get the other free gc? i have (2) $5 gap gc, a $5 office depot one (cant use since they dont have one nearby), and $10 to WESC? i dotn even know what store that is.

  22. lorelei

the gift card is a one time offer =__=

  23. Beth Montgomery

This app has a very scary privacy policy and terms of use. I’m not sure a $5 gift card it worth what you are selling them. First, once you “click through” or take any action, you agree to their terms and you can’t change your mind about what you hand over to them. “You signify your irrevocable acceptance”.

Next, they collect just about everything from your Facebook account, your friends Facebook accounts, and your phone (contacts, friends, phone number, location, photos, etc
), so read the permissions on Facebook AND the phone app carefully before accepting to make sure you’re comfortable.

They can send & share your information to anyone they want with anyone, including companies in other countries without laws to protect your privacy and it can be used for any purpose, including commercial.

And you waive your right to take them to court if you get upset about how they use your information or want your information removed for any reason.

What also scares me is that it says they have the right to change their terms and privacy policy at any time and it’s your responsibility to check their website to see if there have been any changes. They don’t have to notify you, so everyone who joined before the Binding Arbitration was added, automatically agreed.

    • Missy

It’s pretty scary that so many people are okay with those terms. I for one would never agree to that.

      • cjs

After reading through all the comments and having a FB account that ‘violates their terms of service’, it is not worth the $5 to me. I will be removing the app from my phone and unsubscribing immediately.

  24. Seven

How do you claim the gift card? I gifted my friends some cards, but neither of us know how to claim the cards. Pls help!

  25. Suzanne

I used my $5 Gap card today at the mall. The cashier just punched the code in. She was not familar w/ it, but it still worked and it was no problem. I got a FREE blue/green tank. AWESOME

  26. Crystal w

Happily used the $10 sephora and $5 gap giftcard yesterday worked just fine !!!

  27. Nicole

It says I’ve already claimed it 🙁 – dissapointed!

  28. Hailey

I don’t see where is the Sephora gift card 🙁 did it ran out? i only got the office depot, gap and wesc.

  29. McKinzie

I have used 2 $5 office depot Wrapp cards. My sisters and I send them to each other. Sephora words and Fab.com too for sure, we’ve used them.

What you do is pull up the card number ONLY when ready to use it (i.e. in the store at the register) and tell the cashier to enter it like they would a giftcard that will no longer scan: they type in the numbers instead.

One office depot turned my down not bothering to try, but another has take mine two separate times.

  30. Brandy

Is anyone able to tell me how to completely delete my account with Wrapp? I uninstalled the app on my phone and unsubscribed from emails, but the website is still somehow linked to my face book. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    • J

You can remove Wrapp by going to your Account Settings >Apps( Left side of your page)> Find the Wrapp App> Click it> Find the “remove app” button and press it> click “Delete all app activity on Facebook” if you want > then press REMOVE

      I hope it helps!

  31. Joe

I went to the office depot near my house and the cashier said she won’t accept a certicficaate from a cell phone. I bought an item that was worth $5 and tried to use the $5 gift card on Wrapp; however, she said that she couldn’t do it because that would make the item free, and I kept telling her that the gift certificate states $5. She later said she could take $5 off if I were to spend $20 in a very attitude-ish h tone! What kind of a deal is that?? And so much for not accepting a gift card from a cellular device….no wonder they had to downsize their store. With that type of customer service and false partnership with Wrapp to attract customers, I wouldn’t be surprised if they go out of business very soon.
