    Thanks Collin. You’re the best!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome! 😀

  2. Kitty

I just wanted to say that I got a MM deal at CVS this week so you may be able to still get it! I bought 4 Nexxus ($9.99 each) and 1 Physician Formula ($11.29). I used 25% off, $10/$50, 4 x $3 off Nexxus. I paid $20 and got back 27ECB. I also received $5 in my SavingStar account, my PF product has a Try Me Free Rebate, and I’ll receive $5 for CVS beauty club. So for $51 in products I actually made $28!!! I LOVE HIP2SAVE 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Wow! Awesome job! 🙂

    • Jeff Jefferson

what is saving star and how do you sign up for it please and thank you

      • noelle2boys

I have a Savings Star app on my iphone…It’s ecoupons!!!

      • debra

savingsstar.com, you link your store cards and select coupons. they put the “money” into your savings star acct which you can cash out on at $5 for amazon, paypal even bank deposit. I save for amazon cards.

        • noelle2boys

Also a app on a smartphone!!!

      • blinkycoupons

Jeff, Saving Star is another coupon program that you can sign up for at www [dot] savingstar [dot] com. The way it works is like this – you register your savings cards (ex: CVS Extra Care card) on the site with its number. Once that’s done, you browse the various coupons they have available and click “Activate” next to the coupons that you want. Once you activate the coupon, just go to the specific store you registered the card for, and buy the product. Somewhere between 1-5 business days after you buy the product, you’ll see a credit in your Saving Star account for the amount of the coupon. An important note: Saving Star is NOT instant savings. You won’t see any reductions on the bill you pay OOP at the store. But you’ll get the money back in your account and you can cash it out as a Paypal gift card, Amazon gift card and so on. Hope this helps.

        • Heather

How does the paypal gift card choice work? Do you have to have a bank acct. linked to your savings star acct. to do the paypal gift card option? Thanks for any help!

          • blinkycoupons

Paypal has two options. If you have a checking account linked to your Paypal account, you can transfer the funds, but a lot of vendors (like amazon and ebay) let you pay using just your Paypal account. So it’s like having “store” credit except you can use it at a range of places. Hope this helps.

            • Heather

Thank you so much! That does help:)

  3. edy

    Total = $11.98
Use the $5/2 coupon found in the ?????

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

LOL Oops! In the 9/16 RP 🙂

  5. Deb

    Slow for me.
I’ll get be getting the Mars candy deal & shave cream.

  6. Glenn

On the Schick Hydro razor and refill deal, couldn’t you use the $6.00 off the refill and free razor with refill purchase when purchasing both the razor and refill?

    • mel

That’s what I plan. Some ppl feel that the BOGO attaches to both items. Its kinda a gray area, if you feel comfortable doing it, go for it! As long as neither coupon prohibits the combination (like SC Johnson q’s do say that in the fine print), then I will continue to piggyback.

      • noelle2boys

I piggyback the B1G1 & $off whenever possible and have had no issues anywhere doing it.

    • John

In my experience if I hand over the BOGO coupon first the $ off Coupon beeps. If I use the $ off coupon and then the BOGO I have never had a problem.

    • Karen

My coupon for “buy the refill get the razor free” beeped. Manager was called over, she thought it was because the razor was $13.99 and the coupon said maximum of $12.99. She said she could only take off the 12.99 (which I knew and was ok with).

about piggy backing: Few months ago I used a B1 product G1 product free coupon. The manager (a different one from above) that rang me up asked if I had a cents off coupon to use. I told her no but asked what she meant. She told me as long as the cents off coupon doesn’t exceed the value or the B1G1 coupon prohibits it, you can use another coupon. Today, with the razor, the employee ringing me up asked her about the $6 off coupon. She told him it was ok because I was buying the refill and getting the razor free. He scanned the coupon after the B1G1 coupon and it went through without issues.

After the Buy refill/ free razor, 20% off, $4 off $20, $6 off the refill coupons, and $5 ECB’s I had… I paid .04 for the refill and razor!

At my CVS last week, I saw that it was advertised that it accepts competitors’ coupons. Has anyone else seen this there? I was pretty shocked and excited!

    • Missyliz

I work for CVS (and unless they’ve changed the policy without telling us-which is definitely a possibility) those signs just refer to competitor coupons for prescriptions. So if you have a coupon for a $25 gift card for transferring a script to Wags or Rite Aid or wherever, that CVS will honor it too. Since Express Scripts customers are allowed to go back to Wags again they are making sure to push advertising accepting competitor script coupons to make sure that prescription customers stay at cvs.

      • campanita

Missyliz I have a question and hope you and others can help. I went tonight with my mother in law around 8:45 pm to do the Pantene/P&G deal wyb $30 you get $10 Extrabucks, hers and my EB did not print instead it printed $4 that is a sale that starts until tomorrow but since the store changes the prices after 4:00 everything got mixed up. I tried to explain to the cashier that today is still the 6th and that I am supposed to get $10 EB but she said that I was wrong, then she called the manager in turn and he was kind of mean/racist to us (I’m hispanic and they are filipin), he said but is because you use coupons and that you alredy got a lot of free items (got 4 shampoos and 4 conditioners and used 4 BOGO coupons). My mother in law then said Is it coming out of your pocket or what?
He ignored her and said this is the last time I do this for you, then I said I will call the 1800 and he said call, call, call. This is the first time that this has happened to me, usually others stores/managers try to resolve the issue, it was not my fault that they activated tomorrow sales too early. Any advice on what should I do?
thing was that before I started doing my shopping I asked one cashier (nice young girl) that if I could still do the deal and she said sure, if your EB do not print we can help, too bad she was on break when I was ready to pay, I told her about the problem and she said I understand what you mean and you are right, but the manager has the last word.

        • Samantha

The rude and racist remarks are a completely different topic (and unacceptable) but regarding your EB, I’ve had that happen before and if the store manager can’t/won’t give them to you manually, an email to CVS should do the trick just fine. In my case, I didn’t notice until I got home and after a few emails, HQ loaded the EB onto my card to print the next time I scanned my card. But BOO for cranky managers!

        • Deb

          Sorry for all your pdoblems.
I think you owe it to yourself and fellow Hipsters to call Corp and report the Mgrs. name. His district mgr. will take it from there.

        • joanne

You are supposed to receive the 10EBC regardless if they activate the next day’s sale. Last time that happened to me, they manually printed the ebc and also let me keep the one that printed for the next day.

          • Seth

If you ever do deals on Saturday especially when the store switches over to the new sale prices, it’s always best to carry the ad with you. That’s what I do and because of having the ad they can not argue with you. I would call CVS’s 1-800 number and explain both situations including the names of the employes.

          • Liv

Campanita, the same thing happened to me yesterday. I bought 6 Pantene and the Swiffer which was around $31 but @ the bottom of the receipt only the $7.49 for the Swiffer showed up. I pointed this out to the manager and he double-checked the ad. He said that since they activate the next week’s ad early that it must’ve messed it up. He manually printed out the 10 ECB and let me keep the extra 3 ECB for the Pantene deal. Sorry you had to go through that. If I were you, if that happens to you next time, have the CVS customer service on speed dial! Since that mean manager said to call, I would’ve called customer service right there & then in front of his face!

Got my November Lucky Magazine in the mail today and there’s a $4.00 off two Covergilr Eye product

    • Nikki

      Cool!
Thiswould be perf to stack with the Publix ABF Q that just came out!

  10. Kristen

Can you roll extra care bucks? Like use crest extracare bucks to pay for more crest and then more extracare bucks still print? Thanks

    • Susan

Depends on the limit…if the deal limit is one, then no…not a good idea. You could technically roll the bucks, but you wouldn’t get more in the process. BUT, the limit on this deal is 2, so yes!

      • Kristen

so they would keep printing until I reach my limit?

        • Jeff Jefferson

          exactly

          • noelle2boys

Ive found that most CVS EB rewards can be redeemed twice in a week even though it ususally says limit of one. I was able to redeem the $5 EB for $15 Dove purchase 9xs this week!!! Just watch your receipt in the EB Offers Redeemed section, it will tell you either you have a $$ amount needed for your next reward or offer limit reached. HAPPY SHOPPING!!! Don’t forget the Beauty Awards that add up too!!! Dove was a MM for me this week and last week it was Herbal Essences!!!

            • Kristen

Thanks guys for your help!! I had no idea you could do this..makes it a whole lot better than Walgreens 🙂

            • Seth

Once you get the hang of CVS and how you can use several ECB’s, coupons, email coupons such as $$/$$$ and % off coupons in one transaction…you’ll love it. No filler items needed either. That’s why I love CVS!!

            • lule

Can u share you mm on the dove? I know is over, but I try to plan it but it was not a mm for me thanks

            • keko

the Dove deal ended already yesterday was the last day!! it was monthly deal of 2 months long i was able to do it on my card, my parents, and asked my aunt to use her card. so got a ton of dove to last me a few weeks.. (yes a few weeks im making gift baskets for some relatives that just came to the city/state and some donate it and save some for friends for Christmas giving.)

plus looking for some good long date Diaper coupons with high value if possible since the last P&G insert had pampers coupon $1/2 (not thats worst coupon value i have ever seen.) no more Tide $2/1 and i dont see $2/1 Pampers anymore and pampers $1.50/1 was fine too but $1/2 no way.

            • keko

oops i meant “that’s the worst diaper coupon i have seen this year!”

even huggies has $1/1 the prices are rising high and the value of the coupon keeps dropping and if the price stay the same for the product, then the product shrinks…. its like the end of the world for me since i started couponing only about 16 months ago.

            • noelle2boys

The Dove deal worked like this…

It was on sale for $5, Dove Men’s Body Wash, if you spent $15 on Dove you received $5 EB.

I purchased 6 at a time, total of $30…Used 6x $2/1 coupons which brought my total to $18 OOP. I received $10 in EB and $5 Beauty EB (bc original price was $9.49×6…Ive found that Beauty EB are calculated based on original retail not sale or after coupon retail) and $5 from Savings Star for $20 Unilever purchase for the first transaction…Made $2.

              Then 2days later I went back and purchased 6 more…used 6 $2/1 coupons, $15 EB and paid OOP $3 and received $10EB and $5 Beauty EB…Made $12.

I did this until my receipt told me I had reached my limit, which was the 5th transaction, I received $5 EB and had reached my Dove offer limit at the 9th EB offer.
Overall I purchased 30 Dove Body Wash…my OOP was $30 and I received $45 EB, $25 Beauty EB and $5 Savings Star cash.

The biggest challenge was finding a CVS who restocks often…I have one near me that is 24hrs and restocks daily!

I did the same kinda thing the week before with the Herbal Essences shampoo/conditioner sale….I don’t remember exactly the details but I had a B1G1 coupon and it was a bigger MM than the Dove.

The extra EB helps me purchase this things that never go on sale or have coupons. I donate alot of my stash to local organizations who support food banks and military organizations.

  11. Brittany

    Thanks Collin!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re most welcome! 🙂

  12. MD

I just heard from my local CVS that every tuesday evening they hand out a newspaper full of CVS coupons and that they only give them out on Tuesday evenings; They told me that if it was not in the rack with the rest of “freebie local newspapers for our town” to ask and they had extras on the back counter. Plan to do that this Tuesday.

    • Jeff Jefferson

      please tell us your location

  13. Mitch

And this week’s email was a $4 off of $20 purchase, so I can buy stuff on sale for a change and use that coupon! Between the Mars candy and the Razor, I migh be able to pay very little after CB’s.
    Thanks for this!
    http://www.gaynycdad.com

    • Ronni

Thanks for the reminder Mitch! Mine was $5 off $30…anything helps!

  14. Allison Morgan

    Hi Colin,
I just want to thank you for the time and dedication you put into this blog. I read it EVERYDAY and it is such a huge help to me! I love the way you color code the best deals. It helps me so much when I am in a hurry. I realize you have a family and a life but we can always seem to count on you!! Thanks again and may God bless you and your family greatly!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You are most welcome, Allison! I sure do appreciate you taking the time to leave such a sweet comment. Hope you’re having a great night! 🙂

      • Emily

I have to say I agree with Allison, I check here multiple times a day! You’ve helped me get so many great deals and freebies!! THANKS!

  15. Carol_R

Thanks for the awesome match-ups Collin.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome, Carol!

  16. Shanna

Happy about the soup deals this week. Its time for me to stock up 🙂

  17. Mandi

Yay! My store had a whole display of the Schick Hydro Silk razors with a sample of Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen for $11.49. I was able to purchase this along with the cartridges $16.79. I used the free razor coupon (took off the entire $12.99 but it did beep) plus the $6 off refill coupon. Then I had the 20% off pass that actually worked tonight. Took off $5.66 (better than the $4 ECB in the 4 day sale) making it $3.63 for the razor, sunscreen, and refill! Oh, and there is a $3 off one sunscreen in the razor package that does not expire until Dec 2013!

  18. jurga

The offer 5 off 30 .How does it count ?Before coupons or after.Thank you.

    • Rae

      Before

  19. johnstelmack

In the Washington Post we received 1 add for the week dated 10-7 through 10-13. Some of our ECB sales are different from your list. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS A COMPLAINT!!! Just informational. I LOVE COLLIN 7 HIP2SAVE!

    • Tracy

Ditto for Northeast Ohio. I was quite surprised when I got the paper this morning!!

      • Sara

Here in Omaha we got a regular ad valid all week

      • Seth

        Tracy,

I’m near Akron and my ad is a one week sale. Wasn’t split into two seperate ones. I hate when they split them up though. Always confusing.

    • Shayla

I’m in Central Ohio and we only got one ad. One thing to point out is the Right Guard deal sale 2/$6, get $2 ECB on 2. It states 1 per household but on the bottom of my receipt it may appear to be more than 1 (it does not state that it was reached and it states 2 needed for reward). Super stoked since my bro asked me to pick some up for him =) ps. I too hate the 2 ad deals and I let corporate know my dislike. Too confusing =(

      • Graham

Same here I’m in Central VA. One ad, no 20% shopping pass.

  20. Brandi

on the candy deal Collin. Couldn’t you buy 4 Nestle fun size bags 3/$7 and 1 mars snack 6pk 5/$5 and use 2 1.50/1 Nestle qs? you would end up paying $7.33 oop and still get the 3 ECB. I think that math is correct.

    • Brandi

oops 1.50/2 qs I meant…lol. Still same amount.

  21. Kidsallgone

OK, so I need some expert opinions from fellow hipsters. I know that I should have taken the time to do a bigger/better deal, but….well I didn’t take the time lol. I want to know if what I did was dumb. Or what I should have done instead. I appreciate any input. Thanks 🙂 🙂 🙂

I bought 2 Nexxus shampoos at $20 each (It was $19.99 but I rounded it up to make the math easier. I also bought a Physicians Formula lipstick for $10. I could not find any manufacture qpons for either of them 🙁 but bought them anyways. These are the CVS coupons I did have:
    Transaction #1:
    2 x $20 Nexxus shampoo=
    $40
    1 x $10 Phys Form lipstick =
    $10
    Total $50
    -$10/$50 CVS qpon =
    $40
    -$10 25% off CVS qpon =
    $30
    -$4/$20 =
    $26
    – $5 ecb=
    $21
    -$5 ecb =
    $16 paid (plus tax)
***Got back $27: $20 for the 2 Nexxus, $7 Phys Form, and will get $5 Beauty ecb (or will I?)

    Transaction #2:
    Bought one Nexxus=
    $20
    -$20 ecb =
    $0
    ***Got back $10

    1. Should I have just bought 1 Nexxus in transaction #1?
    $20
    +$10 Phys Form=
    $30
    -$4/$20 =
    $26
    -$6.50 25% off =
    $19.50
    -$5 ecb =
    $14.50
    -$5 ecb =
    $9.50 + tax
    **Get $10 and $7 back

    2. Should I not even have bothered doing the 2nd transaction?
PS: If I didn’t do transaction #2, then I would not have reached the $50 for the $5 in Beauty Club bucks (which I’m not even sure if shampoo counts?)

Also, I did get another $10/$50 at the magic machine, and I could have done transaction #2 later in the week with maybe some vitamins (I got a $4/$20 vitamin coupon plus manuf coupons), along with one or two of the razor deals to reach the $50.

    3. Also, I’m just curious, I’m considering taking back the shampoo form transaction #2, which they probably would just give me a gift card for $20 since I didn’t use any money to pay for it, but…do I just hand over the $10 ecb that I got from the transaction? Sorry so many questions but appreciation any input 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Pam

If your original total was $50, none of my CVS stores would not have allowed you to use both the 10/50 CVScoupon and the 4/20 CVS coupon in one transaction.

      • mel

like Pam, my store would not have allowed the 2 $/$$ coupons. Also you need to read the fine print b/c they now say something like only one off your purchase based coupon allowed PER Transaction.
Everything you bought in the 1st transx counted towards the Beauty Club, so I personally would not have bought the 3rd bottle in transx #2 and wasted the $20 ECB. You might have just been a few cents short of the beauty club b/c the 2 bottles are $39.98 + the actual cost of the lipstick.
The one time I returned makeup that had an ecb deal, I asked and the cashier said it was mine since I earned it.

    • Kidsallgone

Thanks Pam & Mel for taking the time to reply to my questions 🙂
I didn’t even question whether the cashier/cash register would accept both the $/$$ coupons. I didn’t think it wasn’t “legel” and it didn’t beep and the cashier said nothing. I wasn’t trying to slip anything by them. But I guess if I think about it, maybe I should have had $70 worth in order to use both coupons? I don’t know. So confusing in this old brain of mine.

I’m so glad that the items in transaction #1 will go towards the Beauty Club reward 🙂 and I agree (now that I’ve thought about it), I probably didn’t need to buy that 3rd bottle of shampoo and wasted the $20ecb. I wasn’t buying it in order to reach the $50 Beauty Club reward because I figured that I reached it in my first transaction. I don’t know what I was thinking (or wasn’t thinking 😉 ) So, if my conscience (how DO you spell that word lol!!) doesn’t bother me, I may return the 3rd bottle with the receipt and see if they will give me a $20 gift card. I’ll figure out a scenario later in the week to do with another $10/$50. The problem is, I may get that bottle of shampoo in the scenario and it will give me another $10 ecb….which I got the first time I bought it. OK…not stressing over it.

      Any more opinions/suggestions? Thanks 🙂 🙂 🙂

      • Alea

Since you got lucky with using both dollars off coupons (it should have been the $70 to use both) – then I wouldn’t do anything else. Not worth the hassle for returning, trying to get a gift card, new ECB’s etc.

  22. robyn

you have the gillette fusion razor listed for both dates ONLY. does that mean we can do it twice? one during the first part of the week and again after the 10th?

    • Cindy Knorr Hughes

I’m so glad you asked! I just read through all of the comments looking for that answer. Thanks for being our guru, Collin (Mrs. Hip) 🙂

    • Stephanie

It will depend on the offer numbers. You’ll have to compare your ads to see if they’re the same offer or two different ones.

  23. Seth

I got my CVS ad this morning and we do not have the split ad!! Can anyone explain the Dove deal others are talking about (I see where they have done the sale over 8 times). Thanks Collin for all your hard work. 🙂

    • Pam

In southwestern ohio we do NOT have a split ad either. One ad for the week! Great!

    • Carol_R

In Northern VA we do not have the split ad. Some of the deals are different than those shown here.

  24. Molly

I really hope I can find the razors. 🙂

    • Alma

You can ask for a rain check

      • Heather

If you get a raincheck do you still get the extra care bucks? Or do you just get the sale price?

        • Shayla

On the raincheck there is a place for the event code for the ECBs and I have never had an issue with it (except Black Friday/seasonal merchandise deals).

  25. Gia

Will the $4/1 gillette coupon for the styler kit too?

    • CVS for Life

yes, it will work for the styler too. I did it this morning. The coupon also says styler in fine print. HTH

  26. Karen

I bought the schtick hydro silk refill and razor and didn’t get the $4 ECB :/ (in Northern CA)

    • Pam

You should have received an $8.00 Ecb. My limit in the store reads limit 2. We had to use the BOGO coupon first and then the $6.00 off. It beeped the other way.

    • Shannon

Not completely sure on this one, sinc others were talking about it too, but I’m pretty sure that this deal doesn’t start until Wednesday?

      • mel

The Schick deal isn’t until Wed for those that have the split ad. other areas got a full week’s ad and the Schick deal is reported listed as Limit 2.

        • noelle2boys

I have a split AD and decided to go to CVS tonight to use my 20% off coupon and my 2 Schick coupons, figuring the 20% off was a better deal than getting the EB back. To my surprise, I paid $5.63 AND got the $8 EB!!! MM for me tonight…

  27. Colleen

Sierra Mist was not included in the sale at my CVS. It only pictures Pepsi and Mountain Dew, and does not list any particular types, but the sales clerk who was super nice, told me before I checked out that the Sierra Mist was not part of the sale.
Im in Macomb county, MI, anyone else having this problem?

  28. Reena

I purchased 2 Frieda hair color and 1 Frieda Shampoo, however, I didnt get $10 ECB. What should I do?

  29. katie

I scored huge today @ CVS
2 Purex Liquid Detergents, 2 Pepsi Next, 1 16 Count Cottonelle, Cottonelle wipes tub, 2 CVS dino vitamin gummies, 4 cans progresso soups, Proglide Razor, 2 24 Nestle Purelife waters, and a CVS spray in detangler for… $9.99! 🙂

    The machine loved me today!

    • Haley

Can you break this down for us? Price per item, and coupons used.

  30. Judy B.

I got the one page ad with the 20% for our CVS, but I don’t think a lot of people are over looking that the best deal by far is the ProGlide Styler. The Styler includes the beard trimmer combs and is normally $19.99. I did the deal today for it and used $5 ECB’s from last week when I paid so it was only $0.99 out of pocket plus tax!!! Awesome deal and a wonderful stocking stuffer for by hubby. ;0)

    • Judy B.

Ooops, I mean a lot of people ARE overlooking the best deal in the add…

      • debra

I did the same this Judy. Nice razor set. Wish I would have thought to save it for Christmas but as usual I came running thru the door screaming, “look what I got for free today”!

        • Jean

I do the same thing! LOL!

          • Sue

At my store, there was a sign by the Styler that the ad was printed wrong and it was not included in the sale “sorry for the inconvience” Oh well, got the razor instead.

    • Valerie L.

We got this today as well, I think someone might have been hiding it because it was off the rack behind some other things. My boyfriend was pretty excited about this find.

  31. Craig

Weird, IDK if its cuz we got a 3day sale followed by another flyer coming out at our CVS stores or what, but there was no MARS candy 3/47. There was only the M&Ms 3/$10. I had the right bags and all but nothing was ringing up even w/CVS card btw.
Sooo broke down and got the MM bags that had a free movie ticket WYB3 thinking, I scored a killer deal. Now Im sitting here reading the sm. print: 4/30-9/28/12! Crap. Thats what ya get for not reading it in-store folks! lol

Oh and also the Gillette Fusion U.S. gel did NOT give out the $2ECB and there was no ECB for the Power Bars either. Not complaining, just providing this info as FYI to those in W. MI.

    • Craig

Oops that 3/47 is suppose to be 3/$7.

      • mel

The Mars deal is 3/$10, get $3 ECB (or like 3/$7) maybe that’s what you’re confusing? And the Fusion deal isn’t until Wednesday if you got the split ad.

        • Craig

Oh no I read it correctly as per above with the pic of the MilkyWay/Snickers stating this:
Spend $10 on select Mars, Nestle, or Wrigley’s products = $3 Ecb (limit 1)
          Deal Scenario:
Buy 3 Mars Chocolate Fun Size bags 9.78-11.5 oz 3/$7
Buy 3 Mars or Nestle Fun Size 6pks (these are around 3.4 oz) 5/$5
          Total = $10

So again they were NOT ringing up as 3/10 or 3/7, they were FULL price. I ended up getting the only ones with signage and correct “ring up” which again were the M&Ms. Even though it did state on the signage Mars/Sinckers/etc.

As far as the Fusion, thanks went in today, TUES. to return it and wait, and this store had signage up, even under the smaller can, so I was able to avoid the return and they just spit out a $2ECB. Weird again, since its was not yet Weds.

          • mel

Oh! I misread then. Odd it didn’t ring up on sale though? Glad you got the ECB for the Fusion forced. What happens is the store will activate the new sale the day before it starts. Mine had tomorrow’s ad (10/10) up and ready after 1pm today so I was able to get both ads sales today!

  32. K

so does the gillette razor limit 1 reset mid week with the new add?

    • noelle2boys

I’d like to know this answer as well… =)

  33. squarejellybean

I did the cvs survey from my email yesterday and got a $10EB instantly to print. So awesome……thanks collin for letting us know about cvs surveys…………….

    • Tina

on the fusion razor my ad says limit 2 per household …… anyone bought 2 ?

  34. Shimu

If I buy $20 dove twice can I get 2 $5 from Savingstar?

One or multiple means what—–is that buying $20 over and over or buying $20 dove by splitting the transaction like $10 and then $10 in next transaction?

For cvs mars deal, can I use 3 CRT $0.25 each with different coupon code and expiration date (mars tear and share CRT).

    • mel

no, all the savingstar coupon are one time use offers. Multiple means you can purchase the $20 in multiple purchases, $5 here, $4 there, up until the exp date. Once you hit $20 the $5 will be added to your acct and you’re done.

yes, you can use 3 crts with different codes/exp date. But I don’t think the tear/share are included in either ecb deal??

      • Shimu

Thank you. First I bought $20 dove. When I got home, I read here that the dove limit is more than one. Then I bought $15. So, I thought I lost another savings from savingstar.
I did not find any mars tear and share. I asked one cashier but she did not know also.

  35. Stephanie

Since the proglide razor is also in the second ad, does that mean the limit resets? So if I buy one before the 10th can I then buy another one on/after the 10th when the next sale ad goes into effect? Anyone know?

    • Cyndi

I don’t think so Stephanie. It has the same code so I don’t think it will trigger ECB twice.

      • Craig

And it will tell you on your receipt near the bottom or so, if you met the qualification too. HTH

        • noelle2boys

My Ad say limit 2, however my receipt says I’ve reached the limit and I’ve only purchased 1…Hoping it will reset tomorrow…

          • mel

I am in the split ad market, went today and got a styler and my receipt does not say Limit Reached, so it must be 2. I’d buy something small to see if the tracking changed.

  36. A.R

I called nearest cvs store.. I was told the proglide Styler is not included in the sale! 🙁

    • mel

I never trust what they say on the phone! I called once and was told they don’t sell stamps, when in fact they do! AFA the Gillette Styler, it sure was tagged at my store, I happened to get the last one today, and it did print the ECB. And the limit must be 2 b/c my receipt doesn’t say offer limit reached.

    • Kristy

It is not included in the sale anymore. I picked one up yesterday and it was tagged on sale w/the ECB and worked, but today when I went back with my mom’s card there was a sign saying that it was a typo in the ad and the styler is NOT included.

      • mel

yeah, its no longer included 🙁 I went yesterday to get another cause my neighbor gave me her inserts, and there was a sign on the door & in front of the styler (they had restocked) that it was not part of the ecb deal this week, it was a misprint. I bought the schick BOGO deal and I was surprised to get 8 ECB instead of 4 since it said limit of 1. It says limit reached on my receipt but is that true? Could I get 2 more schick and get 8ECB again?

which razors did u buy? my ad doesnt include the schick disposable razor packs (which my coupon is for bogo schick disposable razor packs up to $10.50)

      • Stephanie

She is referring to the Schick Hydro razor. There is a bogo coupon on coupons.com that states buy one refill get the razor free up to $12.99 value

I read probably in here or somewhere else that Gillette fusion proglide 1 ct with 4 cartridge (savings 4 months) was on sale. Today I went to buy that. The cashier and manager both told me that they could not sell this one bcoz it was rung up $19.99. The cashier told me that the styler was on sale. So, I asked about styler. However, it was also rung up $19.99, and the manager told her to manually put $9.99 for the styler.

Then I told them that the store did not price them correctly. So, i could buy the 1 ct razor that had 4 cartridge.

The cashier was with her loud voice saying that the razor department was under the beautician and when she did not marked it $9.99 then they could not sell it.

I called the cvs customer service and asked is there anything excludes from that deal. She told me that all Gillette proglides are on sale $9.99. She called the store, talked to a different manager and then told me to go there to get the razor that I wanted.

In the evening, when I went to the shop, now the manager brought two razors and started to tell me that 1 ct was not a kit and he could not sell it. I said but it was Gillette proglide. However, he did not want to understand and honor what cvs told him to do.

I got home and called cvs. This rep also confirmed me that I could buy the razor that I wanted. She forwarded the issue to district manager. She apologized to me for this store behavior and told me that all cvs store are supposed to honor the ad exactly.

Whoever had this kind of issue, please call cvs. The district manager should know about this kind of store manager and cashier’s behavior.

seems there was a mistake with the ad, that the $19.99 styler & 1 ct razor w/4 cartridges were not meant to be part of the deal, so they were deactivated and back to reg price at some point on Wednesday. Only the 1 ct Proglide razors are part of the deal.

So you know how B1G1 free coupons always have an “up to” $ amount? My CVS takes off the “up to” $ amount regardless of what the item actually cost. So I went in and bought:

2 Pantene Shampoos & 2 Conditioners (on sale for 2/$8)
    4 Herbal Essence Shampoos & 4 conditioners (2/$7)
    for a total of $44.00

used 2 B1G1 free Pantene coupons
and 4 B1G1 free Herbel Essence coupons

which SHOULD have been a total of $22.00

But they actually only charged me $2.06

because all of the coupons were “up to $6.99” and that is what each one took off. The cashier even mentioned to me BEFORE ringing up the coupons that they would take $6.99 off! This is not the first time it has happened either. Everytime I use a B1G1 coupon, it does the exact same thing.

On top of it all, I got $2 ECB back for the Pantene. So I only paid $0.06 for 12 bottles of shampoo/conditioner!! PLUS I almost earned another $5.00 in ECB from the Beauty club.

Just wondering if anyone else’s CVS does this? I love it!

      Sara,

My CVS does the same thing…all the time! They are very lax when it comes to coupons and even take expired CVS coupons, % off, $$/$$ CVS coupons – within a day or two. I love my CVS. I’m also going to try for the Herbal Essense shampoo for some Christmas baskets for friends and see what happens.

On that topic about auto deducting on cupons: my store did the same thing but, they got a memo from corporate 2 weeks. Some, new cashiers won’t know about it because, they won’t get to read or know about it but, my cashier that’s been there for more than 4 years. She tolded me tuesday that they won’t be auto deducting anymore. To please let my friends that cupon not to expect it anymore. She did say this was regarding the herbal and pantene cupons because, this customer got so upset at her when she tooked 4 off pantene that she left everything on the counter and told her to keep them. So, lucky u all that got overage

I was just at my CVS in WI – and at the coupon machine it states (on a little piece of paper) that the “Gilette Fusion Styler” is not part of the deal “sorry for any inconvenience”…. So apparently the ad was wrong, but I got my styler on Sunday for 99c! Hope others did before it was taken off the sale!
And I got my small bottle of shaving cream (the orange can) for 37cents after EB! I love when that happens, I don’t see deals on shaving cream enough!
