Does anyone know if this takes “special” coffee pods or anything? Or do you just use normal coffee with it?
I believe it is just a regular coffeemaker that brews 10 ounces of coffee right into the cup. It also includes a permanent nylon filter so you never have to worry about running out of paper filters. Love that! 😀

Do you know how much coffee comes per box or how many tea bags per box? Wanted to make sure they were full size and not just samples.

Does anyone who has this brewer know if it’s tall enough to brew into a travel mug? From the picture it looks like you can just brew into a mug. I’m sure you could pour it from a mug into a travel mug, but seems like an extra hassle. Just wanted to check before I buy a gift that’s “less than useful” for my intended recipient 😉 Thanks!
i don’t have it, but probably not. One of the Gevalia freebies I’ve gotten before that you should look out for is call two to go. It brews straight into two travel mugs. And you can set it to only fill one.
Oooh. I always passed on this because I’m the only one who drinks coffee at my house, and never more than one cup at the time (and very seldomly). Traditional coffee makers are useless to me, and Keurig brewers are far too expensive. But I guess I’ll have to check this one out!

Has everyone been able to cancel their subscription without problems?
I did this deal the last time Colin posted it. I wasn’t able to cancel online so I called in. The representative that I spoke to asked me all kinds of questions and was really pressuring me to continue my coffee shipments. It made me feel very uncomfortable and a little annoyed. That was my experience. It is a good deal though but for me it definitely wasn’t hassle free when I called to cancel.
I did the deal too and canceled online like 5 days after i received it with no problems at all. Go ahead and give it a try. I did pick the delivery time to every 13 weeks at the beginning though so i wouldn’t be billed anything at all.
I had trouble trying to cancel online while using Chrome browser.I pulled up IE and was able to go in and cancel the automatic shipments. No problems.
Ditto. They definitely were pushy. Even after canceling they sent a shipment and charged my card. I called to ask them what to do and was told to mark the box “Return to Sender” and send it back. In the meantime they issued a $1.99 credit (they charged my card almost $30 for the 4 boxes). It took a while to receive any additional credits, but once I did it was only for around $20. I called them back and they said they couldn’t refund the rest because it showed I had already been credited for the one box of coffee. I could see I wasn’t going to get anywhere with the rep (and yes, I was very nice), so I decided to call back another day. I called several times after that to find out why I was only receiving a $1.99 credit for a box of coffee that I was charged $9.99, but each time they said they would have to research it further. I finally just called my credit card company and filed a dispute. A month and a half later I finally got it. : )
I got a similar deal (full sized coffee maker) a couple months ago. I easily cancelled online after I received it.
I called to cancel and the man was kinda rude and annoyed with me canceling. He said he doesn’t understand why people cancle when they know that’s what they signed up for.

ive done the Gevalia deal about 6 different times. The first time was waaaaay before I was even a couponer back in 1997! I got a free robe (which I still have) and a pair of gold etched mugs. Pretty lame compared to some of the other deals they’ve had. But I usually keep the subscription for a few months before canceling. I love their coffee.

I was very pleased last time I got this deal! I forgot to cancel it and received another shipment of coffee. I called back to return it and they simply refunded my money minus the shipping fee an I got to keep the coffee.
I thought that was great and all but I had to call 18 times because they kept hanging up on me!!!! So annoying!
