Home Depot: Earn $5, $10, and $15 Coupons For the Lawn & Garden Department (Still Available)

NOTE: Before going into details on this offer, I just want to mention that this game will take quite a bit of your time in order to snag the high value coupons (as much as an hour or so!), so keep that in mind before playing…
For a limited time, you can head on over to the Home Depot Facebook page and click on the Zombie Mulch tab to play a game in which you can earn coupons for $5 off a $5.01 purchase, $10 off a $10.01 purchase, and $15 off a $15.01 purchase from the Home Depot Lawn and Garden Department (valid thru 12/31/12)! To snag the coupons, you will need to hit zombies with the truck (use the arrows to move it up and down) and make them into mulch. If you make enough, you will receive the coupons. I personally did not have enough patience to actually snag a coupon, but I hope that some of you do! Good luck!

I asked the service desk today while I was looking around, what is all considered lawn and garden. They said anything that was from paint back to the lawn in garden area. In my store..this included…Christmas items, cleaning supplies (laundry too), grills and such. I got a 100 ft hose that was marked down to $8 and a hose attachement for 7.97. I paid $1.04 after tax. I LOVE THIS GAME!!
I was able to get 5 Medium Sized pumpkins 🙂 they were around 18lbs each for 5.98!! Wouldn’t have been able to afford to carve this year without those… Thank you Collin
I went to home depot today and the cleaning section in our store was considered garden. I bought toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc and used the coupons. Plus keep in mind that they take manufacturer coupons as well 🙂

try a different browser? doesn’t work in chrome for me, worked great in firefox (other way round for some other people).
Had tried two different computers with both IE and Firefox, to no avail. FINALLY got it to load in Chrome. Yay!
Try clicking on the link again. The 2nd instance of it should work once you’re logged into facebook. That’s been my experience.
Can you use the $5, $10, and $15 coupons together in one transaction or do you have to do separate transactions to use all 3? I hope the cleaning products are included in my store too!

I talked to the manager before purchasing anything… He told me I had to do separate transactions… it sucks but it is FREE so I can’t complain.

we had gotten a 50 dollar tree for 10 dollars,it was half off to begin with,a whole bunch of christmas decorations and 3 pumpkins,very worth playing,and we still have another 30 and another 5 if i can find it lol

it takes about 40 minutes once you learn to avoid the potholes 😀 I’d recommend taking a break from it though or you get really woozy…

I’m using firfox and it somtimes is a little slow, but most of the time it is really fast on this game. Maybe try restartig your computer?
I used my $10 and $15 coupon this past weekend with my mother. She’s a never believes the deals I get are real until we are at the cash register. Lol. I don’t believe they can be combined so we both took one coupon and split the purchase.
For $6 we got a bag of dirt, a large terea cotta pot, and a plate to sit the pot in. We will be going back again to use her coupons. Also, if you sign up for the Garden Club it takes 30 mins to complete.
I just tried playing-I think it will take me an hour just to get the low value card! lol!!

I had to use google chrome to get it to work but if you click on the “want more zombie mulch?” it will have you type in your email address and then you get two times the points.

Call your Lowe’s to find out. Home Depot takes Lowe’s coupons, so I think Lowe’s might take Home Depot’s coupons. Can’t hurt to ask. 😉
from what i’ve heard, lowe’s doesn’t accept these.
okay, so I have two rewards–$5 & $10 but can’t figure out how to print or “redeem” them. During the game when I reached the $5 mark and the $10 mark it asked me if I wanted to redeem them. I clicked yes then got a “pause” or “quit” button with no direction as to how to get the coupon, or certificate or whatever it is. I clicked “pause” and it just took me back to the game. Please help. I am stumped and obviously incredibly “don’t get it.” Thanks in advance for the “rescue.” Please help.
Answered my own question. On the “home” of the “Zombie Mulch” Facebook page after you have “redeemed” your coupons during the game, click on “STATS.” There is a football field type graphic with your progress towards the coupons with a button to click to “redeem” your points after each reward that you achieve.

I played last time this was posted and the game was slow. It took awhile. But a couple days later my son wanted to play for fun on a Saturday and it was much faster! So maybe wait until everyone else isn’t trying to play as well!
I had trouble at my Home Depot, I tried to buy gloves in the lawn and garen section and the coupon would not go through. 🙁
I am hoping to try again, can’t waste a coupon that is that good!!
I would always ask at customer service what thyey consider lawn and garden, the computer should tell them and it should be the same across the board at all stores, but I know mine owuld not take the coupon for cleaning supplies as some have mentioned above, so just be prepared, not to deter you, just ask is all I would recommend.

I too tried to get garden gloves too, tag even called them that, but coupon wouldn’t go through for that, yet my hubby used his for a chain saw sharpener and oil for weedwacker and that was OK. Weird what is consider lawn and garden!
I did get some outside plants that were 3.77 each, so after coupon which lowers the taxable amount, I paid 8 cents for 4 plants and only 1 cent tax, cashier about died my total was 9 cents 🙂

Yes, it does take some time to play at least and Hour!! BUT a little hint!! After you get to the $5 coupon go ahead and get it emailed to you!! Then when you return to the game your zombies will be worth 6 pnts and the game will go much faster!!!
I have been to home Depot twice already this week!! LOL They have not given me a problem at all about doing 3 transactions!! I have bought plants and potting soil with mine!! I was under the impression that you had to use it on Garden center, but I guess not!! Good luck to all!!

Wow finally got it to load. i dont know how anyone is getting more than one set. I’m only halfway to 5$ and my brain might implode. I dont know how much longer i can play this awful game. lol

I’d think Lowe’s would take them, but call and ask manager before wasting your time. They’re good about matching Home Depot in any way. Game took me about 40 minutes using internet explorer, I had no issues, and DO make sure you sign up for Garden Club, as it went so much quicker after I did. Can’t wait to spend my FREE money!
My Lowes will not take printable Home Depot coupons–only ones that are sent via the mail.
How do I get the coupon? I checked the email that is used to log into facebook, but nothing is there.
Make sure you click the Stats button and “Redeem coupon” next to each amount.
Went Saturday and got a super nice “palm” like house plant, 2 planters ( they are beautiful! cannot believe these were on clearance for $5!) and a mini. houseplant for the bedroom.. only paid $3 after coupon.. would have been only tax if we didnt get the mini houseplant, but I had an extra pot at home with nothing in it that I wanted to fill. In my opinion, it is sooo worth the time to play as we budget a certain amount of money each week for shopping, and would have just stayed home if it wasn’t for this wonderful coupon!

I got to the 10.00 level when it started saying there was an error in saving the data. I clicked O.K. and it did it 5-6 more times, so I saw that I wasn’t moving forward, so I clicked stats to get out with what I earned, and a white screen appeared saying Bad something, like error……?

Ugh Suddenly in the middle of me playing the game, it kept saying something was wrong, so I refreshed the page. Now the game won’t load–it just keeps saying “502 Bad Gateway nginx” Anyone else having the same problem?

AH! bad gateway?! So disappointing, as I sat here playing an hour under my mom’s fb page to get her the coupons. I got well over 5,000 points, but didn’t realize it until it said “error, sorry for your convenience, but cannot save game data”.. so went to the stats to redeem my coupons and says “502 bad gateway” like others. Now I can’t get the page to load at all. Sorry to hear others are having probs too. Hopefully we can all get the coupons later.

I got the error message too and wasted lots of time playing and it wasn’t saving. But its working now and I was able to replay and earn all the coupons. Does anyone know if these coupons will work for Christmas items? I’m hoping to buy some outdoor christmas decorations/lights.

I got them almost immediately. You have to go to the stats page to have them sent to you.
Just finished up with the 3 coupons (no errors, no problems)–I think I’ve got carpel tunnel syndrome now! When my son gets home from school I’ll see if he wants to play on Hubby’s FB account to get more 🙂
i finished the game but no coupon is popping up?
When you finish the game, click on STAT and you should see a picture of a yard and depending on how far you played, you can click on each link to get your coupons sent to your email. If you got the 5 , 10 and 15, you can click one each of them to have them sent to your email.
My Lowes let me use $10 coupon on Butterball 2 oz. Stainless Steel Marinade Injector. I got for $2.99 + tax
awesome…i went to home depot with my coupons in tow and got 8 containers (the large ones) of lysol wipes and a big bag of grass seed for just a few cents tax. I also got a mistint gallon of paint for 7 bucks, yee haw!
If you haven’t played yet, make sure to click on “BENEFIT OF MULCH” and register with the Garden Club. After you do that, go back to HOME to load and play the game: you will play faster, getting the 2X to grab in the game.Careful to avoid anything on the road because they cause damages and also avoid the big cracked holes on the road. Beside that, try to grab everything that’s glowing green: the 2x doubles the points, the magnet attracts the zombies to the truck, the wrench fix the damages, the star allows you to go through anything without damaging the truck.

I agree that this game takes forever, but isn’t this what husbands are for? I don’t know a single male who would turn down the opportunity to drop whatever they are doing to kill zombies for an hour. Who knows, they might even thank you at the end!

Does anyone know if we can use these coupons at self checkout? It would be a lot faster if we could just go to self checkout and do one transaction after the other rather than having a checker do multiple.
My husband tried to use his $5 cpn in the self checkout and it didn’t work. They lady at the register had to take ring him up on her register. We went back another day to use another one, he used the self checkout and it worked with no problems. I guess it just depends. HTH
