How Does it Work?

You’ll also be able to answer “Info questions” that will help them better match you with more opportunities. How do you earn points that can be converted into gift cards, t-shirts and more? You can earn points by earning top awards as a result of providing meaningful responses in discussions and participating in discussions daily.

1.) Just head on over here and sign up for a Crowdtap account with your Facebook account
2.) Answer a few polls (click on Quick Hits) to help brands target you by your interests
3.) View Opportunities and participate with the brands and offers that interest you
4.) Earn status, rewards, and charity – the more you do, the more you get, the more you give!

How do the Rewards Work?

You’ll be able to redeem your earnings in the following ways…

*Gift Cards – Your Crowdtap points can be redeemed for gift cards
*Help Charities – You can choose to help your selected charity
*Free Products – Some activities will also offer free products and other goodies

Also, the points you earn determine your “level” and each level you obtain gives you privileges on the site and showcases your accomplishment. However, keep in mind that points and dollars are completely separate in Crowdtap. Points will help you level up, unlock badges, and compete with your friends while moving up the leaderboard. Dollars translate to real money and can be redeemed for Amazon gift cards or donated to your selected charity. Individual actions can earn you points, dollars, or both but points and dollars are not directly related to one another.

Thanks for sharing crowdtap…I just signed up for it. How many points do you have/what level are you on? I am still on the first level w/ only 510 pts and I don’t see the Old Navy offer :(

Do you think that I need to be friends w/ someone in order to activate the offer, since it is 1 sweater for you and 1 for a friend? Or do they send both coupons to you?

Thank you- sry for all the questions…I’m a newbie :)

  • Kim says:

  • stephanie says:

  • Inga Foksha says:

Yes, how many points do you need to have, Collin?

  • Heather says:

i just joined and started answering the quick hit questions. I was at level 2 when it started asking me questions about Old Navy, and soon after I completed those questions a number 1 appeared next to the actions tab. Low and behold, it was the free sweater offer. I am assuming that this offer is directly related to your answers to the Old Navy questions. You also must answer questions after clicking on the action, and I have completed the survey but my answers are still being processed! Fingers crossed I get it and hopefully this works for others as well!

  • roxy says:

Has anyone ever gotten any samples from them? I read the comments every time Collin posts about it, and noone seems to get them. I am at level 8 and applied for samples at each level, but never gotten any. Not sure how they select people, so would like to hear from people who got in.

    • Ember says:

I have gotten ALOT of sample shares from them. Mostly the old navy ones but didnt get this one offered to me. you have to be asked the questions about old navy and then it has to tell you you r a part of the ld navy style counsil. Its a badge you earn for answering the old navy questions. Make sure all you info i up to date and and your profile preferances is up to date. I really enjoy these sample shares and hope others r able to get in as well. I dont think you level matters cause im a level 9 after almost 2 yrs and i have heard of people who just joined within the last couple weeks getting into the sample shares. HTH

I was selected around this time, last year, for an Old Navy sampling offer through Crowdtap. It was for winter coats. I got one for me and one for my sister. It was pretty awesome as the coats were about $80 each full retail. We had no problems redeeming our coupons at my local Old Navy store. In fact, the manager thought it was a really great promotion. After receiving the coats, Crowdtap only asked that I fill out a short questionnaire/report about them and attach a few pictures of me and my sister wearing the coats. The photos were optional, but they boosted the amount of report points that could be earned. Not sure why or how I was selected, but it was a really great experience. I look forward to wearing my coat again this season!

    • Jennifer says:

I have gotten Old Navy jeans (a pair for me and 2 or 3 to share, I can’t remember how many); Old Navy active wear top & pants (and 2 more sets for friends); Old Navy bathing suit (and at least one more for a friend); a $20 or $25 Pinkberry gift card; Old Navy active wear pants (and 3 free for friends); free Old Navy cardigan, skirt and scarf (and 2 more sets for friends); McCormick grilling spices; etc…Basically, a lot! :) And over $450 in gift cards since joining in the spring of 2011.

i’ve been with crowdtap for 9 months, level 12, 72 starpower, 68 discussion stars, 1 top award and have referred 2 people (i’ve told plenty of people about this site but they haven’t wanted to sign up). i have never gotten an old navy sample share. i get their questions, sign up for their discussion and participate, i used to do their webshares. i sign up for these things and never ever get accepted.

however, i did get to do a mccormicks party through them this summer which was cool. but that was the only thing i’ve ever gotten from them. plus racking up the points to get even a $10 amazon card (the only prize worth redeeming in my opinion) just takes way too long. i JUST recently have been able to redeem for amazon cards. and although it doesn’t take a lot of work, participating within the site does take some work. the discussion questions have to be thoughtful and if you’re really looking for points, you have to respond to others thoughtfully as well and some of the questions require you to come up with creative ideas (i’m not particularly creative so this is extremely hard for me).

this site is a good way to pass the time when you have free time with nothing to do and eventually you get enough points to get something good or hopefully actually get samples from them.

I have been with Crowdtap for about a year. I am at about 130,000 points and received Woolite detergent samples and the last deal was an Old Navy test of five coupons for free skirts/scarf/sweater outfits (one for you, four for friends–in all, about a $300 retail!). I answer questions every day. I keep trying to get the giftcards for Amazon, but they are ALWAYS sold out before I can sign up. Oh well, I have loved the deals I have gotten so far. But, it is time consuming!

  • Catie says:

I am currently on the Old Navy dress mission. Just received my coupons in the mail the other day for a friend and I to go get a free dress.

  • Stacy Wiley says:

Just received my Old Navy dress sampling couons! But no sign of this new one :)

  • Carlos says:

I’ve hosted a few parties on Crowdtap and it’s a really awesome website. HOWEVER if you are wanting the Amazon gift cards, like so many do, prepare to wait. They restock their cards (usually) only once a month. I have been a member for 6 months and I’m level 15 with about 250,000 unused points from just the past two months because I missed the checkout time by 20 minutes. But, as another user said, if you use the site passively then it’s a fun way to make extra money and get free stuff.

BTW I’m pretty sure this is only for women, sorry guys! I tend to troll the FB page and I haven’t seen any men talking about this party. And I also never saw the option to join the party, so that may be a sign too.

  • Jes says:

I’m Level 11 and wasn’t selected for this one. I am currently in the Old Navy Dress Sample Share so that may be why.

And Carlos you are right! I usually only get 1 per member from them. I don’t favor any of the other options they have for using your points and they have no plans to add anything.

  • Shannon says:

I have yet to get selected for anything =[ maybe I will this time!
    please use my referral link!

  • Aleshia says:

Everyone wants to know why they are not getting selected for these sample shares. I wondered the same thing so I emailed the company. I am a level 12 and have been a member for 2 years. When I first signed up I got all sorts of sample shares then I noticed saving websites would post about the sample shares telling them to hurry up and check their accounts and my offers depleted tremendously. It is first come first serve. When there is no more spots available you lose out. People that check their accounts everyday miss out on offers because of this issue and people that only check their account every once and awhile get the offers because they come across the posts. It is frustrating. I think that with things like this you should just simply encourage people to sign up not post hurry up and check your accounts. When that happens a flock of people run over to check their accounts and then the website crashes, hence the tapped out page. I am not sore about it just shedding light as to why this happens. I have contacted costumer service about this numerous times.

  • Heidi says:

not worth the effort in my opinion and site has many glitches and isn’t user friendly.

  • Deidre says:

Just signed in and had the mission application! I’ve never been selected, but fingers crossed this time around :)

  • Michelle says:

I finally got the Old Navy sample and share for the Dress!

  • Kristen f. says:

I am short one person to accomplish my next mission! I would love for someone to sign up using my referral link! Here it is!!

    Thanks so much!

  • frany says:
