You are not crazy. They are just talking about all the Facebook info the Amazon app collects from your Facebook account. If you don’t post all your info on FB then it can’t collect your info.

Call Customer Service. They should be able to give you a 5$ credit.
I added something over $25 to my cart that was a super saver item from Amazon just to see if it gives me the credit and it didn’t! How do you get it to apply the $5 credit?
I did the same thing and the credit showed at checkout.
I had the same problem and the credit did not show at checkout for me either.
Make sure what you are buying is sold by amazon, not just fulfilled by amazon.

That happened to me too, and I went on chat to find out why. She said I had one item that was Amazon Prime, but not sold from Amazon, so the credit wouldn’t work. Make sure everything’s from Amazon. 🙂

Not a fan of apps that want to post on my behalf
Those apps are the reason I have a facebook account exclusively for couponing. And some deals want you to share with a friend, so I added my mom’s couponing facebook account to mine so I can use her as my friend when needed for a deal.
You can set it so that you are the only one that sees any posts that they may make
just go into your “privacy settings” and uncheck it. that’s what i always do after I allow the app.
You can just uninstall the app as soon as you get the credit.
How do you uninstall the app?

I can’t find the credit either. I tried making a purchase and it never showed up either. My purchase met all the guidelines of Amazon fullfilled and provided by Amazon.
It has to be sold by amazon not fulfilled by amazon.

Where do you find the credits showing up in your acct? I stuck something in my cart just to test it and went as far as clicking “Proceed to Checkout” and it still didn’t show up. If I keep going it will automatically charge my account and be ordered! I want to be able to see the credit first.
Are you sure your products are sold by Amazon (and not sold by ____ and fulfilled by Amazon)? I think the $5 credit is only if your products are sold from Amazon.
i think you are right Michelle. I was trying to buy items that were only fufilled by Amazon & couldn’t get it to work. Then I tried something that was sold by Amazon & it worked.
Go to gift card balance under “your accounts”
That only shows gift cards I have added to my account. Don’t know why it doesn’t show up.
How do you see those in your account?
what “screen” did you find this in? you can check your credit before you place an order?
I added items to my cart and started the check out process. On the payment screen it has a box that says apply promotional balance. HTH

When these promotions ask to share things on your facebook page there is usually a setting before you accept it where you can make it only visible by you. They still have access to the info they want, but it doesn’t spam your friends’ feeds.
Or have a couponing facebook account to keep it all separate.

You can just change your settings so that only you can see the post of Facebook.
I see a lot of people saying that they hesitate to do this offer because the app that posts for you on Facebook. I feel the same way about it, but with these apps (this offer included, I just tried for myself) you will see a box on the bottom left that says “public” but if you click on it you have multiple options for who can see your app posts including “only me”. That is what I do with each of these offers and so far none of them show on my wall for other people to see. Even the ones that show on my Timeline, when I hover over it – it tells me I’m the only one who see’s it. I hope that makes sense and I hope it helps 🙂

I was confused that too. And noticed that area didn’t want you to put your e-mail.(It just asks you ‘when will you start your Black Friday Week shopping?’, so you should put the answer, not e-mail address.(bc you shared that on your FB wall, you can see your e-mail addy showing up there!) I already logged in to Amazon when I put my e-mail on that page. So just go look for what I want to buy, then go to check out. They should be directly sold by Amazon.(NOT fulfilled one) Finally right before submit order, you can see the $5 credit showing up.

You have to order things that are in stock from the amazon warehouse. No outside sellers. The $5 will show up at the very end under promotional credit. I had to go through and change items to ones that are sold by amazon. Also since your buying over $25 might as well try amazon prime free for a month.
