So I bought the Kindle Fire on Cyber Monday as my Christmas gift (I just couldn’t resist!) It will not arrive for a couple of weeks. I would love to get these free ebooks they are offering up but do you think I can download the APP to my computer, get the free ebooks now, then transfer them over to the kindle when it comes? I’m sooo new to this ebook thing so thanks for any suggestions!

i have the kindle app on my phone and my tablet… i buy all of these free books collin always posts on my phone then because my phone and tablet have the same amazon acct the books are already purchased and ar on both devices… does that help?

You don’t have to download the app to your computer to get the ebooks. You can purchase them and the ebooks will be stored on your amazon account under what’s called amazon kindle cloud. Then once you get your kindle the books will be under your account and you can download them to your kindle. The amazon kindle cloud is where all the stuff you purchase on amazon for the kindle will be stored so even if it gets removed from the kindle you don’t have to buy it again.

This is awesome- thank you my kids are so excited and begged me to look for more free books. In the process we found Twas The Night Before Christmas by: Clement C. Moore- for FREE ($0.00) kindle edition. I found it by typing free kindle books under books category in the search bar, and then Children’s books on the left and sorted it by kids ages 3-5- hope that helps if anyone else is looking for free Christmas books- this beats going to the library with 5 kids in the rain- hehe!

We bought a Kindle Fire for our Grandsons do you know how we can get this books on the Kindle? Do we have to set up and account with a Credit Card or just email address? Thanks new to Kindle and it looks like it will work for our Grandsons, we are also planning on buying Prime for them so they can have it.
