Wow! Currently, Amazon has marked down the LeapFrog Leapster Explorer Learning Game System (Green) to only $34.99 + FREE shipping. This game system is regularly priced at $69.99 so this seems like one heck of a deal!

Also, just a reminder that you can still score the LeapFrog Explorer Learning Game: Letter Factory for just $12.50 (regularly $24.99) + FREE shipping through Amazon Prime or Super Saver Shipping on $25 orders! Keep in mind that this game does say LeapFrog Explorer, but it will work with LeapPad learning tablets and Leapster Explorer game systems.

(Thanks, Krysten & Heather!)

Is this one better than the Leapster 2?

    • Nicole

Yes, it is. My 5 yr old has has this a couple of years and loves it. We bought the camera add on and now he can take pics and edit them with it. Not to mention you can put educational movies from leapster on it.

      • Heather Nicosia

Thanks! I got the Leapster 2 deal. Thinking I will just stick with that for now and see how he enjoys it. I’m sure he will want a “real” gaming system soon… since hes really into playing xbox. 🙂

Does anybody know if I buy this AND a LeapPad, if I can put the games/apps I purchase on both of them? Or Would I have to buy the same game twice to put it on both devices?

    • Tanisha

You can use those games on both systems. You don’t have to buy two 🙂

    • Erin

Explorer games are supposed to be compatible with Leappad. Double check on Leapfrog.com.

    • Heather

I’m not sure about the apps. But you can use the games you purchase instore on any of them explorer systems.

      • Holly

I had emailed Leapfrog and asked them this because My 4 year old has a leappad and I bought my 2 year old one for Xmas, I didn’t want to have to rebuy all the books, apps, and movies, and they said you can put them on up to 3 devices. HTH.

        • Jen

THAT is good to know Holly!! Thank you!!! We got my daughter an Expolorer last year for Christmas and it disappeared on our summer vacation…I thinking of getting a new one and one for my son….I’d love to not have to buy new stuff!!!

The picture that Collin posted of the game it says for LeapPad and Leapster, so I would assume so?

  4. Missie B.

My second cousin is 4 years old and I was wondering if this would be easy enough for him to use?

    • Heather

Sure would! My daughter is 3 1/2 & loves hers.

        Thank you!

Thank you!! I got the cute green purse since it “matches” the green system & one of the games!! 🙂 Love it!

      • Heather

        You’re welcome!! 🙂

Leapfrog is b2g1 at toys and the leapster gs (newest system) is part of that. They’re reg 69.99, so it ends up being 138.98 tax for all 3 shipped. it works out to about $50 ea when all is said and done. Great deal if u need 3 or know other who’d like to go in on it, ESP being its the system that came out this year.

    • Renee

      Thanks!!

Thanks, again!! I got the Leapster deal a few days ago & this one today-plus the camera attachment that also seems to be on sale for over half off? 10.99 on amazon.com! My daughter really wants a camera & this seems like a fabulous compromise that has so many more uses than just a camera that is going to break soon!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

    • Kay

Thanks for the camera attachment pricing, just got one!!! $14.99 is the next cheapest price in Walmart which is sold out. My DD got her Explorer a year back and never been bored. It is a fun learning toy and she enjoys it!
