Once again, Viewpoints is offering up an opportunity for you to earn yet another Amazon gift card! Viewpoints helps consumers make shopping decisions with the help of reviews from people like you and me. Through December 6th, you can earn a $5 Amazon.com gift card if you’re able to write 5 total qualifying reviews on viewpoints.com including four reviews on appliances in the Kitchen or Laundry & Cleaning categories… What a great way to share your opinion and get rewarded at the same time!

Wanna get started?
Go on over to Viewpoints and register
(or login if you’re already a member) and then head over here to submit a review. You can easily search for a product that you’d like to write a review on (remember, 4 out of your 5 reviews must be on appliances in the Kitchen or Laundry & Cleaning categories to qualify for the Amazon card!).

Also note that your review needs to be at least 200 characters, and all 5 reviews must be submitted by December 6th. If you do in fact write 5 qualifying reviews by 12/6, a $5 Amazon gift card will be awarded to you on Thursday, December 13th. You can check out all the details here .

Thanks, Collin!! Love doing these and getting Amazon gift cards!

  2. Ashley57

I got an e-mail from Viewpoints about this a few weeks ago. I did my reviews and got my Amazon card yesterday. Very easy!

    • Kay

Ashley, can you gives me some ideas on which product you reviewed? I’m thinking of doing dish soap, laundry detergent, dryer sheets. Will these count towards the reviews needed?

      TIA

      • Ashley57

No – if you read the fine print it must be appliances. I did my dishwasher, rice cooker, fridge and an iron.

      • didijojo

I did my washer, dryer, carpet cleaner and iron. Did a floor cleaner for my 5th review. Hoping those will work!

      • SH

I think it has to be on appliances

        • Rachel

I read it on their site as Appliances in the Kitchen or Laundry & Cleaning categories on the Viewpoints $5 for 5 Review Promotion page. Could you tell me where that is so I can double check as I chose the Laundry & Cleaning categories. Thanks! 🙂

          • didijojo

Click on browse categories and then it shows a list in each category and then sub ones form it.

            • Rachel

Thanks I get it now! I think I need some more coffee! 🙂

            • didijojo

I just a review on my Keurig! 😉 lol

    • Sandra

I noticed this in the terms “Contain unique content in all comment boxes”

Do you have to leave comments under the individual ratings such as “durability” as well to qualify?

      • claire

yes, I think you do have to comment in every box. I didn’t see that at first either, but then went back and edited my review to include it. Hopefully that will suffice!

I reviewed my iron, crockpot, stovetop espresso maker, countertop coffee maker, and stand mixer. It’s a little confusing to think of these as “kitchen and laundry appliances”, but I clicked on those exact categories at Viewpoints and these types of products popped right up. I have previously reviewed my washer, dryer, fridge, and stove, so it would be difficult to think of 5 more if they had to be those large appliances. I take it to mean that small appliances count too.

Aw, I got the an email about this offer this morning, and they called it “a special offer just for you!” Now I see the offer is for everyone. I’m so hurt, lol.

    • J

Everytime I get a “very special offer” its always for the public too lol

    • claire

      me too 🙂

    • Lena

I did too. But it says 1 Appliance, 1 E-reader, and 3 categories of your choice.

  4. felicia

does it just automatically get shipped to you after you’ve done 5 qualifying reviews or do you have to ask for it?

    • Peggy

I got an email that said I had an Amazon gift card. I put the code they gave into my Amazon account and now have a $5 credit to use.

  5. Colleen

Woo hoo! It’s been a long time since they’ve done this.

    • Jesse

I agree, I’ve been waiting for this deal to come back! Just in time for the holidays 🙂 I’ve never had a problem getting my Amazon GC promptly in the past.

  6. Dawn

It HAS been awhile, sheesh! 😉 They email the code to you after a few weeks.

    • Nicole

How long does it take for your reviews to show up when I go to my reviews it only shows my old ones and I have already done 5 ? TIA

    • Dawn

But i can’t remember—–do you “automatically” qualify if you write 5, or do we have to email them or something when we’ve done the 5???

      • Dawn

And I think I just read on their site that they will be sent out by Dec 13th?

        • Ashley57

You automatically qualify if you write 5 reviews that fit the qualifications of the reviews.

  7. Suzy

I did this a few years ago. It is actually quite fun.

  8. Mandy B

Thanks Collin! I did my reviews and hope to receive a gift card soon. I used Viewpoints before, but never realized you can earn gift cards from it. Awesome!

    • claire

only during special promos. You don’t earn rewards when you use the site / post reviews during other times.

  9. Dealgirl

Can anyone tell me what this company is like? Do you take surveys often? How easy is it to accumulate gift cards or points? How much work do you put into it? Thanks

    • Ashley57

They are not a survey site, only reviews. Sometimes they send e-mails about getting a sample for review. Normally, it is just entry into a sweepstakes.

    • claire

What Ashley said. Generally, this site is good for finding information. It’s not a real money earning opportunity, though they used to do these promos more often.

  10. E

Didn’t get the email but I’ll still do it. Hope I get it.

  11. E

hmm I made some new reviews but for some reason it says “updated 11/15/2012” instead of todays date.

    • Sandra

I noticed that too, so I emailed customer service.

  12. Sans

Do I need to save the reviews as drafts or publish it one by one. Help anyone.

    • didijojo

Publish! Only draft if it’s not complete! It will show what reviews you’ve done under “your account”.

  13. pharmchick

ive been part of viewpoints for a while and got this offer a few weeks back. i just got my $5 amazon gc yesterday! its so much easier then waiting to collect 450 sb for it, lol!

    • glylibra

      hahha…very true..

  14. A

Do you have to do a write-up in each of the categories? Or does it only have to be in the overall product category? Also, does your write-up have to be more than the 200 characters to qualify for the Amazon gift card?

  15. Sarah

I just did my 5 reviews on my washer, dryer, iron, sewing machine, and stand mixer. I hope my reviews were over 200 characters because it’s kinda hard to count how many characters I used. I guess I will find out on the 13th at the latest. 🙂

    • Andrea

It will tell you if it is not. Plus you can look in your draft folder, because if it is less than 200 it won’t publish it.

  16. chrystal

I did the offer a few weeks back to and received my $5 yesterday! Do you know if you can do it again now??

    • sweet

I have the same question! Would love to know!

    • claire

check the fine print to be sure!

  17. Kim

Do you have to receive the offer to do this in your email? I am a member, and I went to their website but I saw no mention of the gift card offer.

  18. Heather J

I didn’t see my oven on their site. You used to be able to add new items but I haven’t used their site since they revamped it and I can’t find how to do it. Anyone know how?

  19. gaby

Hi Friends! I was hoping to find my Viewpoints gift card for Amazon in my inbox this morning, but I didn’t so I was wondering if anyone has received theirs? Was there a catch to this or was it just the 5 reviews 200 words each? Thanks

    • Angie

I emailed them this morning and this was their reply.

      Hi there,

We apologize for the delay. Your reviews have been accepted by our review moderators and qualify for the promotion. We will issue your $5 Amazon gift card by the end of the week. Thank you for participating in the Viewpoints $5 for 5 promotion. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

      Have a great day,

      Viewpoints Customer Service

      • gaby

@Angie. That is great news, I was thinking of e-mailing them as well but couldn’t find an address. But thanks for finding out. Have a good day.

        • Lianne

@Angie: Thanks for finding out and posting! I knew a fellow Hipster would have the answer!

          • Angie

Got mine just before 5 pm CST! Already used it!

  20. Trish S.

Has anyone else not received their $5 yet???????

    • megan

I have not gotten mine yet, as of 12/15…. hopefully soon!

      • Rachel

        I got mine today!

  21. Shamiah

I’m confused did doing the five reviews automatically get you a five dollar gift card or did it mean you may win if they pick you? If someone could let me know that would be great.
