    I think all of these people are forgetting that mistakes are made every day, what if it was you that made the mistake? What if this where to cost someone their job?

    I did not try just seen the sale read all your notes first. Wish there was a good deal out there like this I could use a good deal. I lost all my carpet in the flood and have been walking on concrete floors I will never be able to replace it. Old bath towels work good for small rugs like for in front of the sink and doors to prevent tracking in to much.

    I checked my Lowes purchases account. There was a confirmation page and number and a green ready for pickup. I don’t know what to think? I will place an update comment either way.

    I called on the off chance that the price in-store would work. All of the item numbers I gave were showing up without a price, so he said he would have to call the manufacturer for the price and get back to me. I know it’s a long shot, and I won’t be disappointed if he calls back and says it $300, do I still want it? I’ll just look for a rug elsewhere. I did see that Lowe’s has a few rugs 50% off online. Not the biug ones, the original price is ~$70, so ~$35 after the discount. Too small for my purpose though.

    I called my local store and their system shows it ordered and being fulfilled. I told the CSR that I was concerned about a pricing error, and he reassured me that the price would be honored as long as I could produce the email sent from lowes.com saying order was being processed (with the $10 price showing). Still have not received a confirmation email, yet. We need a rug, too, and I think they should honor their posted price, as does my local Lowe’s store!

      I think the “Your Order is in Process” email IS the confirmation email. It has all the information, including an order number, item ordered and the total.

      I also called to see if my order was going through; the CSR assured me the price was not a mistake and that my order would be fulfilled.

    Just got a call from lowes glitch in System will not honor price! Calling corporate. Office they should honor 1 at that price!!

    I ordered 3 rugs to see which one we wanted. I called my store to see if they were in stock. They said no but they would honor the price if I came in and ordered them. I did and the person who helped me even called to make sure they were supposed to order the rugs at that price. They were told to order them since I was in the store even though it was a mistake they would honor the price. Everything went through and a few hours later they called. I was told the rugs never existed. I questioned a little more as to how this happened and was told the rugs were discontinued and the manufacturer didn’t have them. I asked if it was up to individual stores to honor the price and was told that they could honor it but there are no rugs so no order can be filled. FYI

      Ok called customer care gentleman told me they would honor the price for both rugs was very nice was emailing York pa lowes to tell them that the price will be honored said I would receive a phone call within 24 hrs. Guess I will see so far so good!!

    I called again and customer service said that it if there are a few around someone might be able to get one. The page of rugs were all discontinued quite awhile ago. I hope you are someone who has them in the area and get yours.

    my husband is a manager and just called me laughing. Lowe’s company sold over 10,000 units from this in less than 2 hours. It is an error! Sorry. We are not sure how they are handling yet, they said they may offer 1 rug to each customer or they may all be cancelled. I ordered 1 and my husband will probably cancel it because as an employee we don’t want them to loose out on errors such as this, but customer service may be calling each customer soon to let us know how they will handle the orders.

    They called me here in Atlanta. They will be refunding the charges and are not offering anything per the corporate office. However, the guy here said he could give me 10% off. He was very apologetic and nice. Poor guy

    Just got a call that they are returning the money for the two rugs I bought. I wasn’t really expecting to get them for that price anyway. :/

    So I called and my order was not cancelled. It was actually looking like it was going to be fufilled. It felt wrong it is a 600 dollar plus special order rug. I cancelled it myself. Someone suffers from a mistake like this. I would not be able to walk into the store knowing I took advantage of someone’s error. I would hope others do the same thing. The representative said it was thousands an thousands of orders.

      Good for you Paula! I am all for a good deal, but people also need to realize that the money has to come from somewhere and someone will be paying for this mistake. I am glad that there are still some good level headed people out there. Another reader said that her husband advised her 10,000 rugs were sold… that’s $6 million worth of merchandise being sold for $100,000. I don’t think that even a business like Lowes can take a hit like that…

    My order was cancelled. I got the call from the store, and they said that the vendor was not filling any of the orders so they had to cancel them.

    Just got the call that my order was canceled and I was refunded. I am sure it will happen to everyone here regardless of what your Lowes associate has told you (as did mine). I called customer service to double check and they said everyone will eventually receive notice and a refund. I thought I was one of the lucky ones since it had been hours since i ordered and called my local Lowes to see if I would get the rugs at that price (which he told me I would:) It was a mistake and I don’t begrudge Lowes for it. Mistakes happen. I know none of us would be ok with losing 10’s of thousands of dollars on a mistake and would do everything they could to keep from doing so.

      I want to note that I got a cancelation call a couple minutes before I double checked with Lowes customer service. I didn’t call them before they called and canceled with me;-) Just want to clarify.

    Yup i just got a call saying all three rugs are being cancelled and that each one of the black ones i ordered were 649.oo and there was no way they could honor but i am welcomed to a 30% off and manager will have to approve on any other carpet i find in store within 3o days he said it was a corporate error and NO ONE will be HONORED ;(

    I received a call from my local lowes (California) and he said it was an error and apologize. He offer a 10% discount on my next purchase in the store for the inconveience. I wasn’t suprise after reading everyone else experience.

    Got the confirmation number and said it was in stock ready to be picked up. Went to Lowes today. Service rep had a book with 50 names of people who ordered rug. laughed and said theres no way they would honor pricing and here are your refund receipts. Oh well it was worth a shot!

    Bummed when i got the call too, although the manager from Lowes was extremely rude and acted as though it was my own fault. He didn’t even apologize, and wanted me to drive to the store anyway to pick up my cancelation receipt, I told him to mail it, I’m not driving 40miles RT for their mistake. Hopefully he mails the receipt. wasn’t banking on the rug, as its the second time this week an order was too good to be true. Oh well at least my Kohls order is a real deal and has already been shipped. I will remain positive that I will find other holiday deals.

    I am really confused. I recieved an email stating it was an error and order was cancelled. TWo days later I recieved a call from my store that it will be ready for pickup December 14.
