My son go this kid-tough camera for Christmas when he was just 2. He loves it! The camera has lasted 4 years, been dropped many times, and still functions. I’ve never put the pictures on my computer because it’s a very low pixel quality, but my son enjoys having his own camera and taking pictures of his friends. Also, $25 for it is a steal!

My DD got Alphie last Christmas and loves him! She only has the cards he came with but is getting all the expansion sets for Christmas this year. She was almost 3 when she got him and had trouble following all the directions and doing what he asked but she does great now and even helped an older friend work him.

the camera doesn’t have good reviews :(

I have been looking for a ‘kid camera’ for my niece, but the reviews for this one are horrible :(. Looking for deals on the Vtech Kidizoom Camera, they have great reviews!

Because it *is* horrible! My son loved taking pics so I bought one several years ago for $75 (with case) from TRU. He never really played with it–the screen was tiny and resolution so bad we couldn’t do anything with the pics. We ended up letting him use our old digital camera, which he enjoyed.

My 4-yo loves it. I made a large book called “Life Through My Eyes” from Snapfish and the quality is great – FOR A KID’S CAMERA. This is not a SLR. Even the full-size pics are print-quality – I would highly suggest BRIGHT light for better pics – I wish I could attach a pic here so people could see. The older cameras (more than 3 years ago) are not good – the latest version is vastly improved! HTH

I purchased an Alphie last night through your link! I have been wanting to get one for my son since last year but in store it was almost $45. We are so tight on money this year, and technically this purchase put us way over our $30 Christmas present budget for him – but truly, my son is worth it. He really has been good all year and never asks for much. Almost all of his toys and books are from thrift stores and yard sales (which are still great by the way). So he’ll be so excited to get something brand new for Christmas this year. Thanks for posting! Merry Christmas! =)

I had Alphie when I was a kid (about 20 years ago!) and LOVED it!
