Target: *HOT* Price Match With Amazon.com to Score Some Great Movie Deals
This Hip2Save.com Deal was hand-posted on Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 at 6:12 pm.

Yay! As I mentioned awhile ago, Target is price matching Amazon.com prices through 12/16! Just pull up the price on your mobile device and they will match it for you. Even better, you can use manufacturer’s coupons in addition to getting the price match. This makes for some sweet deals on DVD and Blu-ray movies when paired with coupons found on Coupons.com!

Reader, Lesley, let me know that she was able to score the Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked DVD for just $2.29 earlier today when it was selling for just $7.28 on Amazon.com by doing this…
I went back to Electronics to make sure they even had the movie, which they did, priced at $13. I grabbed it, showed the Target Cashier my phone, and asked to price match, which she put in for $7.29, but I wasn’t going to argue over a penny, and handed her the $5 off DVD Chipwrecked coupon! Paid $2.29!
The price has now gone up to $11.16 on Amazon, but still makes for a decent deal when you use the $5/1 coupon found here to snag it for just $6.16 (and it may drop in price again on Amazon!).
AND, I cooked up a bunch of deals for you if you’re ready to head to Target with your mobile device and coupons in hand! Check out some of the deals you can currently score:

I tried to price match last Saturday at Target and they wouldn’t let me. Something about how their cyber sale had been extended and they weren’t allowed to pricematch until Sunday. Did anyone else run into this? The same target let me pricematch on Black Friday without an issue
Leah says:
I tried to do it with the monopoly millionaire game and it was ridiculous, they argued with me and then I waited for over 5 minutes for a manager and finally gave up. She tried to give me a whole thing about why they couldn’t do it etc…stupid.
Christine says:
I price matched the walmart.com price for the monopoly millionaire 2 times last week and had no problem. The first time the cashier didn’t even look it up. The second time the cashier looked it up on an ipad. Stinks that you couldn’t do it!
Jennifer says:
Got the same deal for Alvin and the Chipmunks. I almost didn’t bother because of my naughty kids, LOL. Glad I went ahead and did it.
Jess says:

This is right on their web site, you don’t need a phone! “Simply show us the current online price using your mobile device, or bring in a printed page showing the current online price by Dec. 16. The online price and availability will be validated by a Target team member at the Guest Service desk. “
LisaR says:
Wow, did not know that!! thanks for info!!
Rose says:
They would not accept the print out from me. Only price match if they could find it on their iPad.
Sophia says:
We bought a zoo as a awesome movie!
Elizabeth says:
Before Black Friday I had a great experience price matching The Lorax. I picked up the movie, the one other item I needed and was in line/at register less than five minutes. It was super easy.

For those whose Targets are telling them they don’t pm online prices, here’s the direct link to target’s site where it states otherwise. Print it or book mark it on your phone and pull it up if they give you a hard time: https://corporate.target.com/about/shopping-experience/our-low-price-promise
Lisa says:
I can’t believe you guys are getting a price-match AND using a coupon, I have been told countless times that it is one “deal” or the other.
Nicole G says:
You can use a manufacturer coupon with a price match but you cannot use a Target store coupon.
Nicole G says:
oops meant to link the policy – https://corporate.target.com/about/shopping-experience/our-low-price-promise#q1976 The coupon with Price Match policy is written in black and white here.

Walmart has a package deal with Home Alone and Home Alone 2 on Blue-ray for $14.99. My husband and I were able to use the $3 off Home Alone coupon on the combo pack and scored both movies on Blue-ray for $11.99.
Sandi Langdon says:
Don’t forget you can get 5% off if you have a target card. This makes the price even better.
k says:
this is a little random but is there a way to get the hip2save deals texted to your phone?
Leigh says:
Shopkick is offering a $2 gift card for scanning 3 items in the electronics section. Figure I’ll be in that part of the store for DVDs anyway, why not get an extra $2 off. Should bring the cost of Rio down to $9.99
Stephanie C. says:
I got The Sound of Music on Blu Ray (3 disc) price matched from Amazon.com at $14.96. http://www.amazon.com/Sound-Three-Disc-Anniversary-Blu-ray-Packaging/dp/B003VS0CX8/ref=sr_1_4?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1354721856&sr=1-4&keywords=Julie+Andrews
