I got my 3 1/2 year old a Leappad for Christmas and some games to go along with it. Has anyone used these ultra ebooks before? Do you think they’re good?
Heather says:
Also, the purple leappad cover is only $4.99.. which is the cheapest I’ve seen it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005R1RZXM/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B005R1RZXM&linkCode=as2&tag=wwwhip2saveco-20

I like them but they are not something that my kids keep going back to. Even at that price I hesitate to buy them because it is just one more thing laying around. If they were the ones I could load on to the leap pad (like the ones from the online store) I would jump on it . I just don’t see my 4 year old grabbing these as her go to games. Hope that helps.
christine says:
With that being said I am on a less stuff kick so that is totally influencing my decision. We just have way too much “stuff”.
Heather says:
I’m on the SAME kick! Thank you for your honest opinion!!

WOW!! with the $5 off of $25, super saver shipping and this deal…. i just ordered THREE ultra ebooks for $20.97!! they are usually $25 each!
Bree says:
yeah, we have the thomas and cars ultra e-books. My son loves them.
Sherry says:
Both my daughters love the ebooks. Right now we just have a couple that I downloaded. But they are getting a couple more for Christmas — and one of these too. There are little games/activities that are in the books too.
scarlett says:
yup just did three for $20 with the $5 off:) awesome deal!
Elise says:
The app cards are $15 too, value $20.
LeapFrog App Center Download Card (works with LeapPad & Leapster Explorer)
Heather says:
I did notice that.. and this might be a better snag for us. I have a $5 Amazon credit already, and the new $5 off $25 credit.. so I can get $40 worth of App Center cards for only $20. This might be a better snag!
Thanks.
Kim says:
I can’t get my 5 off 25 to work…. Any advice? It’s not showing up in my cart….
Felicita says:
I’m hesitant to get this as well since my son rarely plays with his Leappad 1. He is in Pre-k though and is learning sight words so I wonder if this will help? hmmm… decisions, decisions.
Michelle Cristy says:
Would anyone recommened the leappad stuff for a 4 year old? She is always after my smartphone to play games so i was thinking of buying her one of these or a similar tablet/reader/game thing of her own but i am sooooooo lost with all the new technology…..help please?
Heather says:
Big YES! My daughter is 3 1/2 and I couldn’t get her off of my cell phone apps. This is just like that, except bigger/better games.
Michelle Cristy says:
Ok…does it require an internet comnection? Cause i dont have internet at home except for my phone
Bobbi says:
I just bought one for my daughter’s 4th birthday and set it up the other day. It does require internet to set it up and download the included apps (you plug it into a computer with a USB cable), but after that, you don’t need an internet connection to play with it. Hope that helps!
Diane says:
Glad you posted this! Now I can get my daughter one to go with her leappad (and I can use my giftcard) Thanks Collin!!

I can’t decide on a leappad or a Vtech innotab, does anyone have an opinion. I have an almost 3 year old (in 4 months) who loves his brother’s ipod and he loves music (not children music, poor lil guy, buy pop music – like gangnam style Style, ugh we have to listen to is at least 70 times a day) so I’ve been thinking about the Vtech for the music download and video download capability, or does the leappad also do that?? I just can’t decide plus I’ve been waiting for a sale, I missed the awesome one at Kmart Collin posted a few weeks ago. Any suggestions?
Robin says:
Would these work for the Leappad 2? Thanks!
Diane says:
I read this from amazon and from the leappad web site
(Works with LeapFrog LeapPad1 Explorer & LeapFrog LeapPad2 Explorer Learning Tablets.)

Does the credit come off before or after you hit the place you order button? My credit is not showing up.
