Not the best “deal” but I bought one for my dad. Walmart online has ipad2 $399 bundle deal that comes with car charger etc. Free shipping and ebates gave me $15 back. I think the deals were on black friday but I wasn’t willing to fight the crowds.

Walmart & Target don’t carry Kindles. I haven’t met a store to match a lightning deal.

When I called my local Best Buy the other day for an unrelated question, they answer the phone with a long spiel: “Thank you for calling Best Buy, home of the price match, even to Amazon … this is X, how can I help you?”
Again, I wasn’t interested in price match at the time, but they do advertise matching to Amazon, and I know they carry Kindles. Don’t know if that applies to Daily Deals, though.

On Black friday Office Depot had the 7″ fire advertised for 159 and HD for 199 but when i got there at 8:30am none in stock. Awesome guy gave me Kindle Fire Hd for 159 and 25 visa gift card too, also half price on case. I was thrilled. Kat

Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ 4G ($449)
