Yay! Here are a couple toilet paper deals for all of you who like to shop from the comfort of your own home! First, Amazon has the Angel Soft Bath Tissue, Double Rolls, 48-ct pack priced at just $21.50 shipped when you choose Subscribe & Save (on the right)! Even better, you can also scroll down to clip a $1/1 coupon, bringing the final cost down to only $20.50 shipped!

This is a great price, as 48 double rolls equal 96 single rolls, so basically you are paying $0.21 per single roll. Great price…especially for highly rated toilet paper!

Also, Amazon has this Quilted Northern Ultra Plush, Double Rolls 48 pack priced at just $22.74 shipped when you choose Subscribe & Save (on the right)! Plus, you can scroll down to clip the $1 coupon making your final cost just $21.74!

    cute toys!

I’ve never checked price per roll when I buy at Costco. Does anyone know if this is a better deal?

    • Jen

I have a price written down from 1/2/12 (nearly a year ago) where our Costco had 30 roll packs (425 sheets each roll) for $14.99. So about 50 cents a roll and then tax if it’s taxed where you live.

I’m not sure if that’s the same price now or the same price everywhere, but I just happened to have a note about it.

I’m not sure which brand you buy, but in August I checked the price on Kirkland toilet paper. It was 1593.7 square feet for $14.99. I prefer to calculate by the square foot rather than the roll, since some rolls are way bigger than others (even the “double rolls”). So I can never really tell if these Amazon deals are better since the square footage is not posted, but I doubt it. I can rarely find a better deal, by the square foot, than Kirkland toilet paper and paper towels.

It’s SO hard to calculate what’s a “good” TP deal. For anyone else scratching their heads, routinely at Walgreens, the 12-roll pack of Cottonelle Ultra is $5 (no sale) = $20 per 48 (but there’s often a $1 off store Q in the monthly book, and a .50 stackable mfr Q, making the better comparison point $3.50 per 12-pack, or $14 for 48). BUT the recurring Cottonelle deal we’ve been seeing at Wag is for “Large” rolls of 113 sheets — so the Angel Soft 300-sheet rolls on Amazon have 265% more. They are MORE than double. You pay 50% more than at Wag, but you get 265% more. So the deal really is a good one! (However, Angel Soft (and Quilted Northern) are made by Koch Industries, which owns Georgia Pacific, which may or may not matter to you.)

Lmao, they need a course for this stuff. Your comment cracks me up.

    • sherry

      wow

    • Jesse

Thanks Maggie! I just can’t decide if I really buy the whole “double roll” business. Does it really last twice as long? The same for paper towels…

      • Kidsallgone

Maybe the double roll does double “duty” (pun intended) 😉 😉 😉

    • James

The problem with TP and Paper Towels is that each roll and brand has a different square footage. Calculating the deal based on rolls will ALWAYS lead you to pay more. A good rule of thumb is to stock up at $.01 (a penny) p/square ft. Paying $.02 p/square ft is an ok price, if you like the brand. Higher than that, take a pass. Just divide the square footage listed on the package into the price (you may have to add up the total for multiple packages), and voila!

    • Daphne

One review said this was a total of 5630 square feet for the Northern. That seems wrong to me. That would make this $.003 per square foot. Someone help me out here.

      • Daphne

48 rolls at 117.3 square feet each is what review said.

        • Amy Mac

          I think it’s 117.3 is per package @ 8 packages = 938.4 sq ft

  4. Sandra

Says the quilted is out of stock, check back later. At this price I will. Thanks for the tips!

  5. Amy

It says the Quilted is out of stock.

  6. juli

    Says its now $45? Wow

  7. Ana

I don’t see the Subscribe and Save option on the right or the $1 coupon…. Is it not availble any longer??

  8. Jana

Collin what did u say your price point for TP was?

  9. Sandra

It was such a good deal they took it away – next time!

  10. Melissa

I have a question on the Subscribe and Save option. When you sign up for these and they ship your order the next time, at what price are you paying? For example, I signed up for the Quilted Northern last time when it was a very good price. But now the price is up again. When they ship, is that original price the price I get or the typical rate? If that is typical rate is what I would have to pay, then there really is no savings to subscribe other than the initial time. Is that correct?

    • Michelle

Melissa: For the subscribe and save orders I’ve done they will send you an email saying the price is different. It says something like “your subscribe and save order will ship soon at a new price”. At that point you can cancel or postpone your shipment.

      • Melissa

        thanks Michelle!

  11. Angcab

I would need to know the sq.ft. The angel soft is $20.50 so I would only consider it a good deal if its 2050 sq.ft. That’s the max I would pay for it.

  12. Cindy

Yep, it’s $45 now.. and only 6 left in stock, I’d pass on that price

  13. Melissa

Also, the shipping is $3.98 for the Northern and $15.92 for the Angel Soft without an option for Amazon Prime.

  14. Nicole

We used to use Charmin Ultra Strong but I tried the Quilted Northern Ultra Plush and now that’s all we buy! I love it and i’m a little bit picky about my tp! haha It’s wonderful and you can’t beat getting a good deal on some amazing tp! I try to stock up every time I see this deal! Thanks Collin!

  15. Katherine

It’s better to compare toilet paper by the square footage, rather than the amount of rolls you’re getting. My price point for TP is about $0.01 per square foot. It’s a much more consistent measurement instead of going on how many rolls/double rolls you get.

  16. Ariel

I know it says out of stock but i clicked on the quilted northern anyways and it was back in stock! 🙂

  17. Sandra

I just did it at 12:40 pm EST and it was in stock for the discounted price – woot woot! Thanks Ariel

  18. Lynn

They must have put it back up…I got it, but the price was $23.94 and I got the free 2-day shipping. Thx all for comments!

  19. Mary

I just bought a pkg of angel soft at Target and it looks like the double rolls are the same size as this Amazon offer. For those who want to calculate the math themselves, the Angel Soft double rolls are 352 sq ft each (with 264 sheets per roll). I figured it to be a bit cheaper than Target 🙂

  20. Nickie

Yay! Just ordered! I skipped the subscribe and save as I know I’d forget to cancel it. lol So it was only $21! And this family of 7 goes through a lot of TP!!

  21. Nicole

I normally buy kirkland brand but thought I would try it out ordering. I got the Quilted northern and wow, the rolls are a lot smaller then the Kirkland brand. When I opened the box I thought I only got half my order since its suppose to be 48 rolls and compaired to Kirkland brand which comes with 30 rolls in the pack was about half the size. It’s good quality tp just like the Kirkland brand but half the amount for more money.

  22. Lacey Ross

Just now clicked on the link again and got the Quilted Northern at that price!
