12:51 PM MST
The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

So before posting the Target deals tonight, I want to give you a heads up and remind you all to check out the seasonal clearance at Target! I’ve heard reports that the holiday clearance is now 50% to 70% off and may not be marked correctly, so make sure to price check items that you are interested in purchasing as they may ring up for less.

Also, my sidekick, Mary, headed on over to her local Target in the Austin, Texas area and spotted lots of great clearance bargains. Here’s a round-up of the deals she found…

Oh and keep in mind that quite a few of the holiday deals she spotted below were actually not found in the Christmas clearance section, but in the regular section of the store where you’d find similar products. So just remember to keep your eyes wide open when shopping and look for seasonal items next to regular products that are similar. If you spot these items, price check as they likely won’t be marked correctly.

Don’t forget to check the clearance in the health/beauty section. Lots of gift sets hidden along the back aisles on clearance. Got one that had a twin pack transformers toothbrush and full size toothpaste for $1.49. Items purchased individually cost over $5 total. It was in a red box.

  • Sara says:

I was just there and got a Nordic Ware bundt pan for $6.00 (reg. $24), colgate transformer toothpaste and 2 toothbrush set for .89, a money counter for my son for $1.59, and a HUGE roll of wrapping paper for $1.50. They have so much stuff, but at my Target most of it was in carts, so you had to dig through to see what was at the bottom. Lots of toy clearance too.

  • DrLadybug says:

Wow, I want to be near the Target shown in these photos!!! I went (with father AND husband in tow) right at 7am the day after Christmas, and I was lucky to get 2 boxes of cake mix and frosting. I visited later in the day and there were no baked goods left.

  • Ashley says:

i will most likely go to target tomorrow- hopefully there is stuff left at my store! I went the other day and the dollar spot stuff was ringing up 30 cents!

  • Jessy says:

Went there a few hours ago….not 70% off yet…. Bummer….I would love to get some DD coffee for $2

  • Destinee says:

Mine had the DD coffee but only gingerbread flavor, they also had the Disney holiday matching card game for 1.50 (picked some up for my kids and some for presents), got Toy Story and Thomas wrapping paper for .90 each, lots of Christmas crafts/stuffers for next year .30ea in the dollar area!! I really was looking for “my first Christmas” outfit and like a 4′ tree…but they didnt have anything :-\

  • Valerie says:

My Target in Silverthorne, CO had tons to stuff still. I dragged my husband and kids this morning and they had a great time playing with all the decorations. We scored tons of lights for 70% off, I also got lots of stocking stuffers for next year. Be careful though and scan, scan, scan. There were several small toys in the Christmas area that were ringing up full price. I also got a few Nordicware items at 70% off. So great!!

  • Ashley says:

aw, i even debated going there after my walmart return & formula trip. but i opted out bc i’m under the weather and didn’t even want to go out to begin with but baby needed his formula & i needed new cold medicine. but now i wish i would have stopped!

  • Skye says:

Our Target has lots of baby clothes & toys on clearance.

  • Paige says:

There is a printable coupon on Swedish Fish or Sour Patch Kid’s also. If you purchase the red and green Sour Patch Kid’s and use the $1 off coupon from Target’s site they were just 24 cents!

  • Kristen says:

I went the day after Christmas..there was literally nothing good!!! Even if it had been cheap (which it was only 30% off) I wouldn’t have gotten it! There was crap I don’t even know what it was…no cookies or candy!! :( kinda sad…lol

    • Katie says:

I noticed that if it wasn’t a super target, there wasn’t much there. Kind of disappointing-last year I got a years worth of puffs tissues and napkins (plain white) for pennies. Was hoping for the same, but alas, not to be.

  • Caitlin says:

Just left there. There are boys shorts for $4.48, nice casual chino style in a wide variety of colors! Also picked up the big jug of Winter Pine Tidy Cats, clearanced to $3.48 plus I still had the $2 off Target Tidy Cats coupon. They also have mfq peelies for two free Fancy Feast cans with Tidy Cats purchase on them. Even without the Target q, it is still a great deal. :)

  • Gisele says:

I went a couple days ago and got some ziploc bags, glad storage containers, solo plates for $1.50 each and used $1/2 coupons so they were $1 each. I put the holiday themed stuff away for next year. The plates were solid colored red so Ill use them for my annual Valentines themed girls night in.

  • darlene says:

Mine in Ct had lots of stuff. I went early to get the pizzas and no body was out since we had a storm last nite. I saved over 178.00.

  • Julie says:

they also had Coffeemate creamer marked down –the holiday flavors. There is a coupon for a 1.00 off on the walmart site……

  • CJ says:

The Target in East Roswell, GA had items for 70% off.

  • jessica says:

70% here and you have to scan, scan and scan lol.. Lots of items that are not in the christmas section are scanning at 70% such as the nordicware 24 mini muffin pan, cookie sheet, cake pan, Wilton 4 loaf pan, etc..

  • Toby says:

Just came back and scored Godiva milk chocolate star for $2.99, marked down from $10.00. Wahoooooo

  • Nicole D. says:

Went a couple of days ago when it was 50%… For things like the Dunkin Donuts Coffee, I noticed they still had plenty in the coffee aisle and not the holiday aisles. Doesn’t hurt to check!

  • Denisse says:

I agree, All the Targets near me were cleaned out already. Happy for those who scored! :)

  • Shirley says:

Thank you so much – we LOVE the gingerbread Stacy Pita Chips – 89 cents!! These are $2.50 on sale elsewhere!! Thank you so much – we got the last 3 at one store and drove to another store to get 5 more!!

  • Joanna says:

Just got back. I raided two local targets that went 70% off this morning. I am doing a candyland birthday party for my daughter in April and stocked up on two pink and blue tinsel trees, tons of garland in peppy colors like purple, pinks and aqua, and then bought a ton of ornaments that were candy inspired. Hubby was quite impressed. I also got Disney princess favors that were in the stocking stuffer area….nail polishes, etc that did not have a Christmas motif on them for the goodie bags.

  • Mary says:

Got my dog a outfit for 2.39, stockings for .30. I wish I would’ve checked the cooking section but I always go on New Year’s Eve to target to see what’s left

  • Lindsey says:

Just got back from the Super Target in Wichita, KS. Tons left for 70% off! I found lots of socks, tights and undies in the “holiday” packaging for around $2 each.

  • Jennifer says:

For a few days now the $1 section with yellow dots has been 70% off. Got several things for 30 cents (glass plates, cups, bowel, salad plates, christmas bags, pens, socks, hats, calendars, stationary, and tons of stocking stuffers)! My Target is far from being cleaned out. Every time I go (I work next door) it’s like they’ve brought out more stuff from the back!

  • Bobbie says:

Got 2 Glade Holiday sprays in Sparkling Clementine (love!) reg. $2.50 ea, paid $2.15 ea., and 2/2 pack Glade Holiday candles in Apple Cinnamon (divine!), reg. $4.99, pad $4.24 all for $7.36 w/ coupons you hipped me to!

    Thanks Colin–Happy New Year!!

  • Katherine says:

Check the cookie aisle too. Just got back from my Target (which isn’t a Super Targer) and there were still a lot of Christmas decorations left at 70% off and I found the red oreo cookies in the cookie aisle, they were ringing up $.89 ea.

  • Donna Shelley says:

I’m glad Target clearances their stuff down. I worked there for a long time, and they will drop those prices down to 90%.But when it gets that low you have to look in every area and endcap in the stores,as they will be stocking for Valentines Day,probably starting tomorrow or tonight for the superstores.
I went to Walmart 2 days before Christmas, and they had NO Christmas Candy left. But the aisles that had been FULL just 2 days prior to that, were stocked to the max with Valentines Day Candy. I’m doing a personal Banon Walmart over that. I know they did NOT sell out of those items, they just removed them and will put as much as they can out again next Christmas. So, no Walmart Valentine shopping for me in 2013.

  • Susan says:

I got lots of great goodies. I got 10 glass salad plates for $0.30 a piece from the dollar spot. I got 4 beautiful glass candle holders to for $2.49 each and a tripod flashlight for $2.99. Also for anyone who is thinking about trying the special K diet all the cereals, crackers, chips, and crisps were on sale for $2.50 a box.

  • Carrie Ann says:

i got some great low ball glasses originally 6.99 for 1.89 a piece the other day. Went back today with my man for more goodies! I got really nice tissue paper for 60 cents. gift tags for 30 cents, bows for 30 cents. I found some packages of “hot cocoa” cupcake mixes that include the marshmallow frosting mix, ringing up for 70 cents a piece, I thought this was a great find because they weren’t Christmas related, just Wintery ;) I also got some dunkin gingerbread coffee for 2.49 a bag. great price!

    • Carrie Ann says:

OH!! I forgot to add my favorite bargain of the day! ;) It was a Nordicware cookie press with tons of designs, it also included some nice metal cookie cutters, a great cookie cook book, and frosting bags with assorted metal tips for 7.49!! Originally 24.99! I opened it up when I got home and I was thrilled with the quality of it—so keep your eyes peeled! My store had about 5 left.

      • Samantha says:

I got one of the cookie press sets, too! Such a great deal! At my local Target, I found all the Nordicware on an endcap in the regular kitchen section. None of it was marked on clearance, but everything I scanned was 70% off! I got the cookie set (reg. $24.99 for $7.49), a mini muffin pan (reg. $14.99 for $4.49), and two stainless steel spatulas (reg. $5.99 for $1.79)!

  • Adrimom says:

My Target had a bunch of baby gear at 30% today. Anyone know how many weeks until it goes to 50? Thanks!!

  • A.R says:

Hi.. Today I saw a lady clearing a whole shelf of holiday bounty paper towels. I was wondering if it was really such a good deal?!
Experts, please educate me what is a good price for bounty paper towels?

  • Gail says:

i was able to get 21 Lego minifigure sets for 50% off. They were in the stocking stuffers section marked at 50% off but rang up at full price. I complained to customer service (seriously Target pulls this EVERY holiday and I am tired of it – I also saw other customers allowing their children to get these thinking they were on sale) and they agreed to sell them to me for 50% off. Doesn’t ever hurt to ask.

i haven’t seen Collin post it here but Walmart have several Lego sets on 50% clearance. Ninjago, some City sets, Dino and older Star Wars appear to be Walmart-wide but some others are 30% off and this is only at certain stores and not marked.

  • Michelle 'Dobier' Erb says:

Definitely SCAN SCAN SCAN! Our local Target had tons of Christmas candy left and they had signs up saying it was 70% off, but it when I went to check out, they rang up at only 50% off. After telling the unfriendly cashier three times to find someone to double check, she finally did and I was able to combine the 70% off with some of this month’s candy coupons and scored a nice stock pile for only $0.69 a bag, and some for even less then that! Well worth the pain in the butt the cashier made it.

  • Kim says:

Check you book section! Elf on the Shelf rang up 70% off at $8.98. Into the toy closet for next year gifts! Got a girl and a boy elf. And there were lots left because they were on an end cap in books facing the camera section, not with Christmas stuff and there were no signs or anything around them. The girl’s skirt was 70% off too.

  • nodyug99 says:

just went and got some of gingerbread flavor coffee $2.24 per bag.

  • Lori says:

Wow, the Target stores in and around Charleston, SC never have anything even close to what I always see on the blogs (clearance sales/selection). Y’all are lucky. ;)

    • Samantha says:

I was pretty excited to see someone from the Charleston area! Do you ever go to the Summerville Target? I scored a bunch of items there yesterday at 70% off! (Although I bet they are getting cleared out more by the day…)

  • Libby says:

I picked up some candy only 50%off but with coupons it was a really good deal. My steal of the day was a crib set for $6.74, originally $99!!! They marked down because it was originally an online item! Keep on eye out for those, great prices!

    • Jessica says:

Those “online items” are my favorite. Just the other day I scored some Melissa and Doug toys for $3 each and a few months ago, got a Graco car seat for $5. Even the cashiers will sometimes be shocked by the price. Congrats on your find!

    • prabha says:

That sounds awsome. How can you find these deals??? How I figure it out??

  • Ronni says:

Picked up Holiday cake mix and frosting….the good thing is they don’t expire until 2014….save them for next Christmas!

  • Heather says:

I got a really great deal at target last week axe gift sets were 50% off and they were $4.99 and I used the $3.75 off holiday pack on two bc I had 2 coupons, makin those only $1.24 each! Also bouce 32 count is/was only $1.99 and I had a coupon for $1 off, great great deal!!!

  • Teri says:

Went this morning and all the dollar spot yellow dot clearance were gone. They were marked 70% off yesterday and I loaded up on little trinkets and stocking stuffers. I even scanned some of the yellow dot merchandise and it just said that they are “no longer in the system”. Glad I was able to get some good deals yesterday.

In the Christmas section, they are still 70% off. As the employees are actively getting rid of stuff to put inside carts and breaking down the Christmas section, I have a feeling they’re not going down to 90% off this year….

  • erin says:

Star wars bobble heads holiday editions- reg $4.99- ringing up $1.49. No signs up at my store. In the toy aisle.

  • erin says:

Peppridge farm goldfish holiday box marked down to .92

  • Pinky says:

I know there are a lot of Mansfield shoppers on here and I just wanted to say when I was out at Target at noon they still had hundreds of m&m’s both in the holiday section and in the baking section. I picked up two bags with both of the mentioned coupons and a bag of Milano snow puff cookies on clearance with a coupon from awhile back for less then 25 cents after I used my red card.

  • Megan says:

Winter Oreos are 89 cents for the regular size packs at the centerville, ut store

  • Tori says:

If you are fan of Burt Bee’s the lip balms in the snowflake package are ringing up 89 cents (reg. $2.99)

  • Beverly says:

Hmmm….I just got back from Target and the M&M’s rang up at $2.74 (50% off $5.49).

  • Elizabeth says:

I stocked up on holiday Peperidge farm milanos! It helped that they weren’t marked at 70% off, but I knew to scan. Our store had tons of Xmas stuff left.

  • Jeff Walker says:

Mine had all stuff picked through. I got a ortoment, two wrapping paper, 3 tissue papers, 3 bags of bows, one thing of beeds, a little stocking all for 7.32.. Did I do good. I wanted to get some lights and ortoments, but all gone!!
