Target: Scotch Double Sided Tape Only $0.30?!

The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Here’s another Target seasonal clearance deal to keep your eyes peeled for. My sidekick, Mary, headed on over to her local Target in the Austin, Texas area and found the Scotch Double Sided tape on clearance for only $0.30 (regularly $3.24!). Keep in mind that these clearance Scotch tapes were NOT marked on clearance and were in the regular aisle with the other tape. Also, Mary found that some of the Scotch Double Sided tapes are actually ringing up at regular price and that the only UPC that seems to be ringing up at the $0.30 clearance price is 051141953762.

Let us know if you find this tape on clearance at your local Target!

Hope many of you are able to snag these clearance items. My target in western PA has hardly any of these deals. In fact, they have kids pajama sets that have Santa on them (obviously a Christmas item) and they are still full price! Even the scotch tape with the gold boxes in the upper corner are full price! I wish that seasonal clearance was done across all stores by corporate, as that would make it easier for everyone.

    • A.R says:

I can totally relate.. no bakeware, no RR 2pc set.. in fact, at my local target, even the christmas goldish with santa hat (which clearly says holiday) has been ringing up at Full Price!!

    • Angie says:

mine was too yesterday, but I just asked the cashier if they would be 90% off too since they were Christmas, and she marked it down from $14.99 to $1.49. This was for the 2pc sets by Carter One More Year (I think)

    • Heather says:

I agree (Pittsburgh PA area)! Disappointing to find some of the “snowflake” packaging food items left and they are all still full price! And they seem to be lumping all of the clearance toys under the 50% signs even though a bunch were still at 30% markdown. Oh well, I did snag some cheap oreos the other day and a few of the polar bear toothpastes.

      • rebecca says:

Heather, that’s where I am as well. Monaca area to be exact! Howdy neighbor :-)

      • Jess says:

Where did you find the polar bear toothpaste? Regular toothpaste section? Endcap?

        • Nicole says:

Sw. Pa: west mifflin- Price checked all kinds of stuff yesterday. No good! My only good score was a twelve cent box of candy canes. Boo hiss!

      • Diane says:

Erie, PA here – never get these great mark downs either!

      • Heather says:

Good news for those of us near Cranberry Twp Target- went in tonight to get some thank you cards- the end racks in the beauty section were still marked at 15% but most of the items were 50-70% off! The kids bath sets were $4.98, Oil of Olay and Dove $4.98, some gillette razors with 2 cartridges and one shave cream for $6.98. Some mens sets were marked down too. Not great prices, but the best we may see!! And nothing else worthwhile that I found.

    • me says:

Last year, I came across some flannel sheets with snowmen on them. I kept scanning and scanning every single time I stopped in target, and they’d come up full price (my kids have full size beds, so I think they were $29.99) Finally, around the first wk of Feb, I decided to try one more time. Still on the same endcap in the bedding department, except with a 30% off sign. But, when I scanned, they were $3.24!!! I snagged 2 sets. So moral is, don’t give up!

Hopefully my Target has this, I am in dire need of double stick tape and keep putting off buying b/c its so expensive!

    • amanda says:

I’ve noticed the same thing, Rebecca. There were a few little infant Christmas onesies that we’re still ringing up full price at my Target, along with some pjs. I didn’t even think to ask about having the price adjusted, Angie. Maybe I’ll try that next time!

      • Angie says:

My cashier didn’t even hesitate! I got 4 – for friends. At $1.49 for 2 sets of Carter PJ’s ($.75 ea) it was worth it to me to ask. If she said no, it was no big deal. But to me I was thinking “who is gonna pay full price for Santa PJ after Christmas?”

    • Mariel says:

I agree! Socal Targets seem stingy with their markdowns. I was able to snag the Chuck Trucks for .39 but I can’t keep going to Target everyday.

    • Jessica says:

Hi there all! I am in Cranberry Township / Mars and I totally agree. I was at 4 different Targets today and I was not able to get anything that has been mentioned on hip2save in the last couple of days on sale. Gift sets of bath gels and lotions were only 15% off and all the toothpaste or toothbrushes I scanned came up full price. Really bummed about western pa targets.

    • jessica says:

Same here in central fl, nothing Christmas related in food section, pots and pans, clothing, tape, scissors..I checked everything and nothing was even a little discounted :( I did happen to find good random baby clearance like a first aide complete health kid normally $20 was .96 cents

  • Aly says:

Thanks for the heads-up on this double sided tape! I’m amazed that the kids Santa pajama sets are still full price at Rebecca’s Target.

  • Angie says:

I got this deal. Also check the Scotch Magic Tape (the green pkg) 3/4″, Scotch handheld tape dispensers, and Scotch dispenser refill are all $.20 each at my target!

  • Char says:

    I just found 1 roll!

  • Rebecca says:

It’s not just the kids pj sets, either, Aly. There are so many holiday items such as sheets, candles, mens boxers, etc. that are either full price, or if we are lucky 15% off. It makes no sense to me why Target would still have christmas items at full price, when they are promoting summer by having bathingsuits out!

  • Megan says:

Not sure if any of you buy Men’s licensed boxers but I was back there yesterday in my NE OHIO target and got some Angry Birds Boxers for $.99 then I went to Jewelry where I got a 3 pack of holiday earrings for $.79. Also, random but in the accessories area of my store there was a sign that said 90% off and I was able to buy OS (fits all) thongs for $.49 each! They are super comfortable! :-)

Also, my store had baby onesies on sale for 90% off too which made for adorable outfits ranging from $.70 – $1.30!

  • Lindsay S says:

I went this morning and was able to find two of them!! I had to dig through all of the tape, but the two all the way at the back were .30 cents!!

  • Izzy says:

I got some from 60 cents last week… The 3 pack tape was also on sale… I got the 3 pack one for 90 cents. It should be even cheaper this week. Try to go to stationary, they still have tons in the stationary part.

  • JoAnn says:

Wow, lots of fellow Pittsburghers! Has ANY Target gone 90% around here? (Gbg/NHT area) I might go search for some deals tomorrow. Go Pens!

    • Rebecca says:

JoAnn, not sure about down your way, but Robinson, Cranberry and Monaca all seem to be holding off on clearancing items. The actual Christmas stuff such as wrapping paper and whatnot is 90%, but from what I have heard not much else is.

      • Heather says:

Agreed. I was at the Gibsonia one today and found no deals worth mentioning. There was one small aisle of Christmas stuff- totally picked over. The Cranberry one has been pretty much worthless from day one as it gets so many people to that store! (On a side note- who else was out without a coat today in this “warm” weather?! ;) calling for almost 60 this weekend!)

        • Rebecca says:

I can’t wait for the “heat wave” this weekend lol! Did you see that someone above posted that the Boardman Target had (past tense) stuff? Maybe next time us ‘Burghers should all carpool to Boardman and we divide up what we snag on clearance!

          • Heather says:

            I’m in :)

            • rebecca says:

Sounds great! Maybe we can get a small, local group together and help one another out! It seems silly for all of us to be running around from one target to another looking for the same items, or worse, everyone paying the tolls to/from Boardman (those stinkin’ tolls will eat up most or all the savings!). Makes more sense to carpool LOL! Going to go brain storm and see how to best get those interested together.

        • Jessica says:

Heather, I am from Cranberry Township / Mars and I am with you on the no coat today. I just could not believe the ” warmer weather ” today. Looking forward to this weekend.

  • stephanie says:

I went this morning and got some pretty great deals. 2 Clorox 2 stain remover $.49, 8 scotch pop-up tape $ .20, star wars GUM toothbrush $.49, 2 up&up 5 pcks containers $.19, and rubbermaids 3 cups $.89. I also got a lots of christmas stuff for almost free. Thank you MRS. Colins.

  • Bi says:

Double sided tape is full price at the Target in Chester VA….bummer

    • Erin says:

Scissors are full price, too, and I have three .50 Qs. :( Couldn’t find them last year, either. Christmas hand soap was like $2.84, bubble bath sets were $7 something, toothbrush sets were $2.84. Disappointing seeing great deals that don’t seem to be in VA–or in Pburgh, judging by the comments. I wonder if these awesome clearance deals are in the Midwest. Sure aren’t on the East Coast! I actually hit a lot of the Pburgh stores after Christmas and I’m making the rounds of my Richmond stores and it’s been pretty bad. I kinda hope this is the end of the needle-in-a-haystack clearance find posts. I’m happy for those who find them, but it clearly varies WIDELY.

    • Terri says:

I got 2 pairs of the scissors for .50 at the Colonial Heights VA Target and the they had the fisher price cupcake rattles for .48. I also got a pair of mens boxers for .59.
Be careful to price check each pair of scissors as I had picked up three pairs and one pair was reg price at 6.15. I did not pay attention to my reciept until I got home and I ended up returning them. I looked for the tooth brushes and the Chuck toy trucks in both stores and no discounts. I am headed to the Chester store this evening to look for the cake mix.

  • chelsea says:

No Christmas stuff left at my Target. They removed everything to make room for Vday and the bulk packaging stuff. :(

  • Elizabeth says:

I snagged all of the ones at my target when they were 70% off (There were only 3 left). My target was pretty good at putting all the discount stuff in the clearance christmas section. Ours has a small shelf unit of 90% off stuff left, and that’s it. At mine, the holiday chips ahoy are still full price.

  • Stephanie says:

Got the double sided tape & gift tape for $.20 each & the pop up tape dispenser for $.30. There was only one of each. Also got some energizer brand flame less candles for 90% off and paid $1.30 each-scored two. Last find was the small milk-like goldfish containers-chocolate flavored $0.09 each-found 4!! All in SoCal. Good luck! Definitely still worth heading out for a look:)

  • Amber says:

Stocked up on this on Saturday at my Target- there was also $.20 Scotch tape (green package and purple package), but only one UPC on each of them was coming up with that price.

  • Jennifer says:

    Thanks for the info!

  • Kim says:

I just went on my lunch break to Target here in Northern CA and all the tape was ringing up at full price unfortunately. There was very little Christmas stuff left but it was marked down to 90% off. It was slim pickins but I was able to get 5 packages of tissue paper for 20 cents each.

  • I price checked all these items that has been listed as clearance these past couple of days at the Cleveland TN Target and NONE of them were on clearance most of our stuff is still only 30 percent off. That’s why I hardley ever go there anymore.

  • J says:

Found the tape in Henderson, NV!

  • Sandy says:

    I found 13. Thanks!

  • Doxie says:

I have yet to find ANY of these great deals in any of my nearby Targets (SC area) Two days after Christmas I managed to get a bag of cookie mix and 2 scotch pop up tape dispensers (that ended up being free with coupons) but past that, NOTHING! I’m still determined though!

  • JP says:

I scanned every double sided tape but no luck! I also scanned the goldfish crackers with the santa hat but it’s still full priced at $6.49! Only Christmas ornaments and wrappers are 90% off.. Colorado Springs, CO

  • ALIRA says:

Seems weird to me…I used to work at Target and the fact that only some UPC’s are marked and others are not. Must be an error… and an unintended one at that…

  • Rosanne says:

Found yet nothing again. No tape, no cookies, no scissors, no toothbrushes, no cat liter, no chuck truck, no Racheal Ray. Think I am going to stop looking wasting to much gas going to look and finding nothung.

  • Nottheasterner says:

Thx for UPC-easier than scanning bc there were 3 diff UPC on diff packaging (all same color)! Found a few of those & 4 spin toothbrushes-3 pink & 1 blue. Star Wars one was still full price. No more Cmas stuff anywhere in the store. Oh well! We use tape & tootgbrushes all yr round! :)

  • Jess says:

What brand are the clearance slippers ? Mens/womens?

  • Angie says:

I live in Austin too… I would love to know which Target Mary goes too. :)

  • rebecca says:

FYI to all regarding some stores having items on clearance and others not….I spoke with corporate customer service regarding this. It wasn’t a “complaint” call so much as a “what is the corporate policy” call. I was told two things. First, if your local Target still has full price Christmas items, you can call corporate, they will open an inquiry, and contact the store to get the problem resolved. Second, I was told that the issue is probably due to “seasonal” clearance vs. “holiday” clearance. Corporate policy is that “holiday” clearance is to be at 90% off a week after the holiday. Seasonal clearance is left up to the individual stores. Sometimes an item, such as santa pajamas, is labeled as Seasonal, instead of holiday. Therefore, the store pricing team is not prompted to mark down the items. This is the same reason why in some areas of the country hats/gloves/winter coats are still full price or only 30% and at others they were clearanced out a month ago. Stores may not even realize that they have “Seasonal” tagged products that are actually “holiday” products and therefore they aren’t marked down, or they are assuming that corporate will tell them when to reduce the price. Stores are sometimes reluctant to reduce the price of an item at the register because of the fine line between seasonal and holiday. WHEW! sorry for that novel, but I just wanted to share what I had found out. Hopefully prices will get fixed soon for those of us still waiting….

    • rebecca says:

Forgot to add – this info is just what I was told by one CSR at corporate. Whether it’s true or not, I cannot say for sure. But it does offer one explination as to why there is such a difference in prices at different stores, so I wanted to share.

  • Lindsey says:

Thanks! I was able to get 12 packs at my target in Queens, New York!
