To be present and enjoy every second of every single day that I get to spend with my wild and crazy kiddos!
That a birthday party doesn’t need to be expensive, elaborate, or fancy for it to be special.
To laugh at myself on a regular basis. Yep, even the time when I wore sunglasses while chopping onions… hoping that it would stop those tears from flowing. Ya, that didn’t work too well.
That trying new things is so important… even if I don’t succeed.
That the Tim Allen in my hubby makes me love him that much more.
That it’s OK to give yourself some slack. Like when it’s that time of the month and I want to eat an entire carton of ice cream. Hey, it’s only a pint.
Just how important random acts of kindness are… not just for the recipient, but also for yourself.
That I’m just me and that’s OK.
And finally, to keep it real. And I’m doing that today by sharing this wonderful picture with all of you. Just a nice shot of me with one side of my face numb due to a trip to the dentist.
What about you? What have you learned about yourself and your life in 2012? I’d love to hear! And also feel free to share your 2013 New Year’s resolutions.
