Beware when selling your clothing items to them, they “recycle” many items that are new with tags!

  4. Tris

I have a question for you ladies…..my huband and I are expect #2 and i would like to get a “big sister” or something along those likes tshirt for my daughter to surprise our familes. Any ideas where i can search for a used one? I don’t want to spend $20 on a new one just for a few days of wear

    • Amanda

We made one for my oldest when I was expecting with a plain white t-shirt and fabric markers. It ended up really cute and was under $10:-)

    • Jessika <3

Anna, I’m not sure about used buy the Childrens place has these all the time with a sale maybe $6 or so. Also old navy (use snap app) possibly free. If all else you could make one with iron on letters. Hobby lobby or Michaels offer coupons frequently. Hth

When our 2nd was born I use a plain white shirt and wrote It’s official I’m a Big Brother on it. Then when she was born they put her footprints on it for him when they were doing them for her birth certificate.

    • Jennifer

      Kohls sometimes has them.

Otherwise to get it used- try local consignment stores (but that will really be hit or miss).

      Ebay might have some cheap.

    • MommySpendsLess

I second the recommendation for the Children’s Place. A lot of their graphic tees mention brother/sister, including some of their super cheap clearance sale items. (I think I saw some for under $4 when Collin posted the free shipping deal a couple days ago.) I think I’ve also seen them on Kohl’s and JCPenney’s website, often times greatly reduced.

    • michelle

I have 3 girls so I actually have a couple “big sister” shirts/sweatshirts from carters and my two older ones are too big for them now …they’ve only been worn a few times…I would just give them to you for whatever it costs to ship…I’m in WI ๐Ÿ™‚ otherwise u can check kohls…that’s where we got them a few yrs ago

      • Jessika <3

Wow Michelle I’m a little teary. You’re an amazing person!! I hope Anna contacts you =)

        • michelle

  8. Michelle

I am not seeing anywhere to enter the code. Does it appear after I enter my paypal?

  9. Emily

Just a word to the wise. I have ordered from them a couple times, and both times, I received clothes that were TOTALLY worn out, one item even had a hole in it. I was not impressed at all, and they would do nothing about it. They told me everything was sold ‘as is’. I would save even the cost of shipping and buy something at a garage sale or on clearance, you will probably have better luck.

    • jennifer

Keep after them, they will do something about it. I received a shirt with a stain, and after taking a picture and emailing them, they offered me a credit for that item. I insisted they also give me shipping credit b/c why would I pay 6.95 more to replace a 3.99 shirt?? So they did, they will work with you if you follow up. But yes, their clothes are questionable.

    • Jen

I actually sent them a ton of great clothes, many new with tags from GAP, Dillards, etc, and the payout is HORRIBLE! Beware, you will get a better deal selling your clothes on ebay!!

    • coupongangsta

thank you I will just stick to consignment shops. I live by 4 and dont have to pay shipping to go inside and choose what I want and I earn 50% on the clothes i sell to them.

  10. pharmchick

interesting… ive bought brand new clothes from old navy, gymboree, carters, etc for prices lower or at least comparable to those on this site! that is of course with sales and the coupons, but still! well i hope people are able to find good deals on the site.

  11. Laura

I would be so grateful if someone wanted to use my link! ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy free clothes shopping!

  13. Michelle

Has anyone sold clothes to them? It does appear a lot easier than messing with a yard sale but I’m a little scared they will not credit me for all I send as it says they only usually give credit for 50% of the bag.

    • michelle

I have and my recommendation is only sell them lower brands of clothing, Target brands like Circo, Cherokee etc. The payout is decent on these considering what the original price paid was. I would NOT recommend selling them higher name brands that are new with tags..once you send them they seem to “disappear” without any credit given saying they couldn’t be used, are stained, other excuses. It actually happened to me and then when I researched it online it has happened to many others. Just be careful what you send. ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Darcey

I have purchased many items from Thredup and have always been thrilled. Its packaged so cute and the items are always an amazing deal. I highly recommend them. Just my opinion

I love thredup! I’ve never had a any problems with them, one time I bought a shirt, and they sent it for free, and had credited my account, for a stain or something that to this day I still haven’t seen… I really like them! Here is my link if anyone wants to give them a try and help me out! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you!!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ https://www.thredup.com/r/CBOQ8H

  18. simpleme

2.99 for an item doesn’t seem like alot, but its used and you have to pay shipping?? I think not! Jcpenney has “brand” named clothes: carters, osh kosh, and many other brands and I usually pay no more than $3 per item, (if Im lucky I pay $3 for a complete outfit). Its just a matter of going in the store and searching thru the clearance (blue tag) racks. That easy! I just went to jcp 2 weeks ago and got my daughter long sleeve shirts for $1 each and leggings for $2 each! ๐Ÿ˜€ Well just thought I would make you ladies aware. Please dont get offended or take my comment the wrong way. And for those of you wondering, Im in Phoenix, AZ, and I scored these amazing deals at jcp @ Arrowhead Towne Center!

  19. Lisa

I have sold and purchased through them a few times. I have had great experiences every time. The selling of the items is a major time saver. Yes you can sell on ebay or craigslist and make a little more $ but honestly for me it not worth the time and efforts. I would much rather stuff a bag full of stuff and send it for free and then get paid upfront, then hassle with taking pictures, shipping etc.
