Nah, I’d say the reason behind decreased coupon amounts is because of the “extreme” couponers out there… Not sure how CVS EB deals would have anything to do with it at all. Nivea is getting their money, regardless. It would be CVS that would lose out on revenue.
CVS is not losing out on any revenue. ECBs are CVS manufacturer’s coupons that they get reimbursed for.
Hmmmmm… not sure how that would work. CVS runs EB deals all the time stating “Spend $X.XX on specified items from multiple different manufacturers, get $X.XX back in EB”. Seems like if EB were “manufacturer’s coupons” then the EB deals would only be tagged to ONE manufacturer’s product. For instance they wouldn’t be able to group together Aveeno, Eucerin, Jergens, and Nivea products… Who knows though, I may be wrong…
Heather, ECBs are reimbursed by manufacturers. Same with Walgreens RR & Rite Aid up.
ECBs are budgeted into CVSs budget. Overage from other coupons help cover ECB coupons, along with other budgeting on corporates part. I am a CVS employee.

I planning on gettin a rain check! Ive learned rain checks are my best friend with cvs limited quantities! Lol You think they’d write out rewards for the small tins later on though?

Similar deal last summer and home office shut off the small tins a day or so in, so it probably won’t last. That and most of the shelves get cleared…

Funny at my store the cashiers cleared the store…people dont hate couponers.

Calm down people! Ps73 did nothing wrong because the deal is/was a limit of 6 for a total of 12 products and a max of $36 ECBs. I read that some people maxed out this deal on 5 different cards. These are the people you should be mad at!!
Aww…thank you Nick…..actually I was not greedy!!! My store had plenty in stock even after I bought. And secondly, I did not buy on my husband’s card bcos I wanted others to grab the deal!!!

I had plenty on the shelf here in Louisiana. I purchased the deal 4 times(getting both-the tin & the soft creme) and got $24 in ECBs. I think you are allowed to do the deal 5 times. When I go out tomorrow, I will do my 5th time. This is a real great deal!!!YEAH!!!!!

I hope CVS does correct it. It’s greedy that folks are doing this deal multiple times, when it seems very likely a mistake on the store’s part.

can someone please help me? someone posted a PDF of the 20% coupon she got from her email. if someone prints it and presents it to the cashier, will the register beep or will it take it with no problems? is the 20% off coupon attached to the card? TIA
As far as I know, the 20% off coupons that come from e-mails are attached to a card and they will beep if it is tried to use on another card. Hope that helps.

I got the last 4 at CVS in Charleston, SC. Two other CVS stores nearby were wiped out. They said they would not issue a raincheck as she was sure it was an error and would be corrected by morning.
so last time they had this deal it didn’t work for me so earlier when i was in the store there were two boxes but i didn’t bother trying it. my sister called me at 7:30 and told me it worked for her and the cashier was like “what!” so i went down and they were all gone! think the cashiers all cleaned em out or took em off the shelves 🙁

I got the last ones in Decatur, Ga on Candler Rd. They were wiped out in Lithonia, Conyers and the one on Wesley Chapel in Decatur. I barely got any, a lady was walking in at the same time as me and we both got the last few.

All gone at my CVS until I looked closely at the plastic holder. There were four behind the holder. It is like an Easter egg hunt. I don’t know if someone hid them there or what but I found them. 🙂

Worked here in Ohio. I was able to use my $10 Cash card that I received last week after the Scott toilet paper deal. I bought 10 Nivea with the cash card, then used the $30 ECB to buy 12 12pk Coke and scored a $10 Cash Card! All I had to pay was sales tax for everything (just under $3)!! I love getting stuff for FREE!!!

I just ran out to CVS to try this and it worked!! Got 10 total, used 2.75 inECB and 7.25 OOP and got $30 ECBs. I did the Aveeno deal once earlier in month soI met the limit.

36, but that’s if you have not done the deal yet. The easiest way to see how much you would get is to check your very last receipt. So if you’ve done the deal once, you will get 30, twice 24, three times 18, four times 12, five times 6 and if you have already done the deal 6 times you have reached you limit. Hth.
