I posted about this rockin’ deal on Nature Valley granola bars at Walgreens yesterday, but thought I’d re-post for all of you who may have missed it. Shocking! I did the 5 box scenario in and only got 1 $3. They even re-rang them up 2,3,4 and the RR increased but only 1 RR never the bonus! UUUgh.

I bought 5 boxes this am & received two $3 RR. I’m in Ohio. My Walgreen’s was stocked pretty well. I bought 3 Granola thins, 1 protein & 1 crunchy!!
I’m in Ohio too (central) and did this deal several times; the store was well stocked and they said they had more on the way. I went ahead and bought the sixth one, since I had plenty of coupons. Great, great deal!
So if I used $5 Balance rewards on the Nature’s Valley I would get the $6 RR but not the 1000 balance rewards, right? I think I am willing to forfeit those 1000 points to be able to reduce my OOP on this purchase.

It worked! Bought 10 boxes in separate transactions with my employee discount brought it to .38 per box! Keep in mind that the Catalinas trigger after purchase ie when your receipt is printing. I can’t tell you how many people rush off without waiting for the printer.
So.ce you ate employee, do you have any insider info on when toys will go 75% off? Still 50% in my store….

haha, mine is still at 50% as well. A tip my manager gave me (since I too had the same question) was to look on the orange sticker and see when the sale good thru date is. A lot of mine were for 1/29 which means at that point, it could go lower. However, quite a few were for March which means it’s a corporate markdown which the store said is pretty much a long shot. This deal is too good to pass, but I hate shopping at Walgreens and dealing with RR’s, I always forget to use them and they expire so quickly, wish this deal was at CVS.

I bought 5 boxes this AM of different varieties and bot back $3RR and $3 catalina plus a 1000 points. I then went to another Walgreens to get 5 more ( my son loves these) but it only printed the $3 RR not the catalina..I wonder if the catalina is tied to the Walgreens card?

I bought four boxes and got a $2 RR, a $2 Catalina, and the 1,000 points. I’m still fairly new to the whole RR thing – the wording on that coupon says, “Save $2 off your next in store purchase over the value of coupon” – does that basically just mean that whatever item(s) I purchase to use the RR coupon towards have to equal or exceed $2? Also – since they both say “Manufacturer Coupon” on them (both the RR and the Catalina) – can they be used together?
A RR can be used with a Cat. It is just money off your next purchase. Be warned though that using a RR to pay for the same products to obtain another RR may not work. This is called rolling the deal. Sometimes it works, but most of the time not. Also if you do not spend at least $2, you will either loose the rest of the value of that coupon (If your total is $1.50 you will loose 50 cents) or the cashier may not let you use it. YMMV. HTH!

I only know what happened to me…I bought 5 boxes and got (2) $3. I used the Catalina, but not the RR to pay for another 5 boxes. Another Catalina printed for $3but not the RR. It might have run out of tape though, cause the Catalina was a little shorter than usual. I had o get to work, so didn’t bother exploring more. You win some you lose some. So anyway, all that to say, I would guess that the Catalina is rolling. Hard on say though.
Jamie, the exact thing happened to me on the two total transactions, and I don’t think it ran out of tape because my Cracker Jack’d RR printed fine. I thought for sure I had the RR and Catalina’s figured out, especially since it says it’s a Manufacturers Coupon. It should not have affected the RR for the Granola Bars, but it did.

Walgreens in Chicago did not count the protein ones towards the RR nor the points. And the catalina did not print out for the protein ones. And they wouldn’t accept the regular coupons towards the protein ones, either. Just a FYI.

I bought 4 boxs of Nature Valley bars, 1 Nogii bar, 1 GoodnNatural bar and 2 chicken noodle soup. I had 2 50cents off 2 on the Nature Valley bars, a free coupon for the GoodnNatural bar, and the in ad coupon for the soup. I paid with a $10 RR from last week’s Estroven deal. I paid $1.65 out of pocket and received 2 $2 RRs, 1 $3 RR, and 1000 points. I am in Mo.

I bought 5 boxes only got $2RR and $2 catalina this morning. Maybe its tied to the $$ amount? I did use 2 coupons for 50 cents off each, that would make a total of $9, maybe you have to buy $10? Anyone?
I use the 2 .50cent printable coupons and I used 2 RR’s and paid only $4 something and received the two $3.00 RR’s. From reading all the comments, it looks like it just depends on your store and who knows why.?

Yes, they are but only from the Nature Valley! I used the same RRs that I received from the first transaction so I only got ONE $3RR.

I bought 5 natural valley 2 days ago and got 2($3) and went today to a different location and only got 3 RR I did not use coupon just 1.50 RR and 1.50 RR from the Cracker Jack . It may be the location or I don’t know what lol
