    I ordered a clutch purse, leather gloves, sunglasses, 3 pair of earrings and a necklace. Retail value $139, paid $23.27!!! I recieved order confirmations for everything. Both pair of my FREE earrings already shipped! :) Hoping everything else goes through too!

    I ordered a pair of socks and it accepted my coupon then I went back to change it to something else and it said that the coupon code has expired. That’s what I get for not going with the first thing in my cart. Bummer.

    I went to order some shoes for my daughters dance but the coupon says expired, but on ShopatHome has it expiring in April 2013? I tried calling their 800 # but theres nobody in the office till Monday. So I quess I’m calling Monday to see if their still honoring the promo code?

      Im thinking they probably cancelled it due to the fact that we were able to snag $10 off a $10 item making the item free. It wasn’t necessary for the item to be $10.01. Im sorry you werent able to get what you wanted with the promo code. But I must say they were awesome deals! ;D

    As an Aldo store employee, I will say that this coupon was never meant to be honored. The discount came from a promotion we ran in store where we gave out $10 off coupons for FULL price SHOES. The website always seems to honor such coupons with other promotions ONLY because they don’t have the ability to filter it. However, with the company realizing that they were losing money, I’m assuming they are canning the $10 off, with good reason. However, the $10 can still be applied to full price shoes in store through the 27th.

      These coupons NEED to be honored. They are obviously made for a reason. If the website was unable to “filter” them, they should invest in something that can avoid such chaos…….OTHERWISE it’s an AWESOME way to get their NAME and COMPANY out in the world!!!! I personally think this is an outstanding way to get them back on the face of the shopping world. KEEP YOUR AWESOME COUPON ALDO & THE USA WILL LUV<3 YA!!!!! A good coupon is real respect to a company and will literally make you go back for more :)!!!!

    I ordered 2 orders and both went thru. Only one of my orders went thru as shipped the other is pending. What is funny is the one I paid the least for has already shipped but the one I paid more on is still pending. I have not receiving anything about cancellation though.

      I just received my cancellation email for the order that never shipped. I have not received anything on the order that shipped Saturday although I am expecting one it was the weekend and UPS just prints off labels. I am not frantic and upset like some other posts. However I did pay for both order nothing was free. I do not like how Aldo has handled this. It is not my fault in 2013 your Marketing and E-Commerce team cannot filter out coupons. They should have went through with the orders and took this as a learning lesson as a company. Although they would lose money they probably have people who were already Aldo shoppers (MYSELF) who may not want to do business with a company that handles situations like this. I shopped and purchased heels just a couple weeks ago from Aldo online. Now I am questioning them as a company. Just me feelings on the matter. I am emailing them by the way just because I did not like how they handled it.

        Just checked UPS. Looks like 1 out of 2 of my orders will arrive tomorrow. So it looks like as long as the item was shipped you will receive it. My 2nd order was cancelled because it was not shipped yet. I am okay with 1 out 2. Especially because I paid for them both :)

    Just a heads up. Aldos is starting to cancel orders that were placed yesterday using the promo code! :( I got a few stuff shipped yesterday but the emails I have received today so far, all say my order has been cancelled because the promo code was meant to be used on shoes!

    I on many times have followed a good sale I’ve found on here and later go back to buy other things that may not be on sale without a coupon code. But I just received this email..
    Dear deanna ,
    We would like to provide you with an update on your recent ALDOSHOES.COM order #”(leaving this out)”. In processing your order, we unfortunately realized the promotion code you applied was only valid on footwear and was not valid on the accessories you purchased. As a result, we regretfully had to cancel your order…. I was going to be okay with that until i read the “employees” comment on here. How they do not have to honor their coupons. Don’t give out coupons if you’re never going to honor them. If the coupon was only for shoes, then it shouldn’t have been able to apply on other items. It’s not our fault for your error.

      I must agree with you! Im sure the company makes more than enough money for them to be able to make adjustments or purchase equipment that will let them filter their coupons if they dont want to honer them! Im almost certain they will lose alot of customers! I am one of them!

          Oh, please. You don’t even know where that code originated. Do you realize it was all over the internet, on every coupon blog? Thecompany does not owe you free stuff just because their site had a glitch. I tried the code too,as oping for some cheap, good quality stuff. I also knew that when something is too good to be true, that just might be the case. Stop the negativity (this is directed at everyone who’s ranting) already!

            I wasnt only trying to get free stuff! There were a few Items that I paid more than $10 for which was more than half of the original price. But you wouldnt know that you dont know what I was trying to purchase! You said it yourself, you were even trying to use the code. So please dont make a dumb comment when you did the exact same thing! :p

    I got my order canceled too! Does anyone know if anywhere on the coupon it said it was for shoes only? If the order went through,it’s not the customers fault and should be honored! Really angry about this!

      I never saw anything about it being only for shoes but my 2 orders have already shipped and both were $0. Not sure why some got cancelled who actually paid something and others like mine that were free was honored! Odd!

    This makes me so mad. I paid for my stuff! I bought things that were over $10 and spent time plus money to get things shipped and I’m upset that I get them cancelled! Meanwhile, some people used the coupon on $10 items via mobile and didn’t pay anything, yet those things shipped. No offense, but if I was Aldo, I’d cancel the 0.00 orders where I made zero money and send out the ones that paid. GRR!!!

      Except the coupon was meant for shoes, not just over $10 orders. So if you think someone using it to purchase a $10 was misusing he coupon, then you were misusing it too

    I’m pretty mad about this too-BAD BUSINESS and I won’t be shopping here again. I spent a total of $100 and they are canceling my orders. On the other hand, some companies actually follow through on their own promotions- even if they did make a mistake, and so, thank you, Collin, for posting in the off chance that Aldo was one of them.

        Agree. So far, the cancellations make no sense. I expect they will all be cancelled, even those marked as shipped. It’s just going to take them some time.

          I still have not received a cancellation for both $0 orders I did. I got shipping confirmations for both but I did order pretty early right when it was posted so maybe that made a difference?

    Ive gotten both things I’ve paid for and got for free cancelled, so i don’t think there’s is any way to know why certain things are being cancelled. Seems like they are just cleaning up their mess.. perhaps i will still get the few things that said they shipped!

    I made 2 orders… One was shipped and the other got cancelled… Both were about 2.10 each. Bummer since i really wanted the one that got cancelled but i am happy that at least i got one.

    Also no offense but I too wish aldo cancelled the orders for the completely free stuff though (ie 10 rings etc) and honored the orders that had some amount paid towards it.

    I’ve made 4 orders. So far, 1 shipped and 2 have been cancelled and the funds are being put back in my account. Waiting for the next to be cancelled. I have never in my life had a single cancelled transaction when I shopped online. Not once. Now I’m getting probably 3 in one day from the same company. But thx Collin for warning us.:)

    Heads up-one item that was “shipped” was just cancelled. I got an email yesterday saying it had shipped, but just got an email saying it was cancelled.

    Yeah I’m assuming those “shipping confirmations” just meant that their warehouse printed shipping labels and they didn’t actually ship them (since it was Saturday yesterday). Oh well, win some – lose some. No reason to be angry or disappointed; they would have been insane to fulfill all these $0 orders.

      That’s why I use paypal for these sketchy things! Mine has not been cancelled and says it has shipped for a $0 order which is strange.

    I don’t think Aldo is a sketchy store… its fairly established with several locations in malls that have been around for years. I do think that they need to hire someone with enough computer science experience that can put restrictions on coupons/codes so that there’s not as much confusion.

    I ordered 1 necklace, 1 pair of sunglasses, 1 pair of earrings and 1 pair of boots. So far I have received 1 email saying a necklace shipped and one email saying the earrings were canceled. However, the tracking number of the necklace says that only a shipping label was made and it has not shipped. How disappointing. I was so excited for the sunglasses, too!

      Just checked my orders on aldo’s website and it looks like my sunglasses did ship and are on their way and my boots are pending. I’m guessing the necklace will get cancelled but hopefully not! Not sure why I never got any email updates on my orders but its probably taking a lot of time for them to clean up this mess.

    I was upset over this at first. But I’m happy to see that I’m getting 2 of my 4 orders. I had 2 orders cancelled and 2 orders I am getting. i got 1 today, which was a scarf that I had to pay $2 and something before tax and stuff and it showed it was on hold but they mailed it anyways. And I’ve been watching the tracking on the shoes I bought that were on sale ( I don’t think in the clearance section though), they were around $4.23 after all tax and stuff ( originally $40, and were on sale for like $13, last i checked they popped up to $16) and just now they showed they’ve been shipped and are on the way to my house :) . I’m guessing the shoes were on hold too, but I guess because of all the confusion, they decided to go ahead and send some out.

    I did two orders one was cancelled, but my first order wasn’t. I received it today, super cute ring and didn’t have to pay anything. I love this site & all the freebies!! Not sure how one got shipped, But I believe some orders were processed and shipping labels made so those orders were shipped but they cancelled all the ones that they caught before shipping labels got made!!

    I received one pair of shoes yesterday and I have another pair that will be here on Tuesday, according to the tracking number. Separate orders. I love the shoes I bought but I should have bought 1/2 size larger.

    I am sure that no one is paying attention to this post anymore, but I just needed to vent. Aldo certainly didn’t have a problem with keeping my money and never sending me the item I paid for. I received a shipping confirmation with a tracking number right away as well as money being deducted from my account, however three weeks later my money is still out of my account and no product. If they had just canceled my order right away and refunded my money I would have completely understood, but not refunding my money, nor receiving a canceled order notification is unacceptable.

      I was annoyed this too. I saw my credit card was charged but my items only had a shipping label created but they never shipped. They will make their money back on all the free stuff they gave away from the people who literally forget about it and got charged for something they didn’t receive….so sad. I put a comment on their facebook and they got back to me super quick (ohh the power of facebook)! They found my order via my email on file and issued my refund. They also sent me a $10 off coupon (good on anything) but no free shipping so I probably wouldn’t order anything.
