The Kindle Fire 2nd Generation is just a Kindle Fire, it is just the newer model. I have one and it has special offers.

I have first gen Kindle Fire – these offers don’t work on them. So there is a difference. The post needs to say Kindle Fire 2nd Gen, not Kindle Fire.

I hope that’s correct? I don’t own a Kindle so I’m not 100% sure.

How do you know if your kindle fire is 2nd generation?
Go to settings, device then about. If the first numbers of the system version are 10 then you have the 2nd generation. If it begins with 06 then its 1st generation.

I have the 2nd generation kindle but I can’t find this offer on it. Do I need to go to amazon’s page or just keep putting my kindle to sleep hoping it pops up?
Once you’ve turned on you kindle, go up to the menu bar (where your apps, books, web etc is) and scroll to the right. It’s the last title/tab “Offers”. Then you should be able to click on the picture of Monday Mornings. Once you’ve watched it, there’s a tiny blue tab at the bottom that you click and it brings up your $5 reward. Super easy.
you know where you can scroll across and it says apps, books, music, videos etc.- scroll all the way offer and you will see “offers”. It is under there.
If you are in Kindle Free Time, you will need to exit out of it and click “Offers” (on mine I had to scroll across to find it.
Your device might not be subscribed to special offers. Click Collins link and scroll to the bottom for info on how to subscribe it. Super easy 🙂
Why on Earth would all those versions of the Kindle be included and NOT the first generation Fire?? Even the original Kindle is included??

i have a kndle fire hd 8.9 and could not find the offer so i called kindle support they gave me a $5.00 they could not find the offer

I thought I got the $5 Credit for watching a preview (I did it on Jan.27) but when I tried to use it today, there wasn’t any credit. 🙁

I figured mine out. I was buying something that was SOLD by someone else but FULLFILLED by Amazon. When I tried something that was sold by AND fullfilled by Amazon the $5 promotional discount was automatically applied. I couldn’t see the discount any where before that. Good luck!
