Barnes & Noble: Elf on the Shelf Set Only $2?!

Wowser! Check out the email and picture above that I just received from reader Ali:
I was in Barnes and Noble and they are doing a huge $2 clearance. They had tons of those boxed Elf on the Shelf book/elf that retail for close to $30 for only $2. And they had a lot of them in both stores I was in today (Fairfield City, Connecticut). These are great holiday gifts, especially just before the season starts! They also had monopoly games, puzzles and halloweeen stuff marked to $2!
You may want to call your local store to see if they have any in stock before making a special trip over there. Be sure to come back and leave a comment if you’re able to find these at your local Barnes & Noble store too!

Thank you! I stopped by after work and got a pale skin boy and a skirt, plus an adorable penguin stuffed animal all for $2 each. Even the cashier commented that they’re a great deal!
I used the in store pickup option online to see what was available.

Search for Elf on the Shelf on BN website. Choose pick up in store option and type in your zip when prompted. It will show you what’s available nearby. Price online is $29.

As of 6:45 pm the Norwalk, CT had approximately 30 left. I bought the last 2 light skinned elves, but there are a lot of dark skinned elves. I asked a salesperson and they will ship for $3.99 for the first and .99 each additional. Norwalk, CT store tel.203 866 2213. I know I saw over 75 units at the Westport, CT store earlier today as well.

I went to our local B & N in Newington, NH this afternoon, and they had sold out, but a very nice customer services employee called the other nearby locations and was able to find me dark-skinned boy and girl elves. I was able to give my cc info on the phone and have an elf shipped right to my house for $3.99!

2 stores in Long Beach , CA. 1 store was sold out, so I went to the other store, where they had 11 on the floor., about half light skinned, half dark skinned.

I went to 3 B&N in SoCal, Toluca Lake, Burbank and Glendale. Glendale has a few dark skinned ones left — I made off with a TON of great deals, besides 5 elves they also had memory games, cookie and cupcake kits, Christmas Childrens books (and a few really nice coffe table Holdiay books, and a good selection of Christmas Cards! Best $26 bucks I could have spent! Next Christmas just got a lot easier for me!

Westport, CT still has some. They only have male light skinned ones though. I called and had 2 shipped to my home for a total of $9 and change!

Thank you so much for posting this! I was able to get some for my daughters at $1.80 each since I am a member. They had maybe 15 left but I didn’t want to be greedy and buy more than I needed since I know others in the area still wanted them.

I called all the locations in San Diego and the only one that had any left was at the Bookstar/Barnes & Noble in Point Loma (Rosecrans St.) I bought a few right before closing and there were still about 20 or so total left in both boy and girl and light and tan colored elves.

If you google Elf on a Shelf there are a bunch of places offering it online for under 10 you can do an order on Walmart with free store pick up too!!

I found some cute stuffed animals for $2 but the manager would not let me use the $10 off $19.99 toy purchase. The coupon did not exclude clearance but she wouldn’t even try the coupon…just said NO!

My local store in Springfield, VA is sold out. I went by right after work yesterday and was told that someone had come in a few hours before and purchased all that they had (the cashier estimated that it was about 25-35). I don’t know what that person was planning to do with them, maybe donate them (I hope but doubt) but just want to express my disappointment with fellow deal hunters who purposefully scoop up all of a good deal without giving someone else a chance
Luckily, my best friend in New York found about 50 at her B&N at 82nd & Broadway in Manhattan so maybe give them a try!

Call the 82nd and Broadway in Manhattan. They are shipping to me with the $2 price. If they dont, then speak to a manager and say that they are already doing it for someone else!!! Good luck

The San Diego, La jolla store has about 30 left! If you order for hold/pick up online they honor the $2 price or just call they’ll hold it for you for one day.

There are a few dark skinned boys left in Bethesda, MD. Called Gaithersburg, MD and Rockville, MD, all out. I was able to snag a girl and a boy…score! Seems like they cleared out of the girls first!

My Twin Falls, ID store shipped them all back to the vendor. Does anyone know of a store that has a very light skinned boy with the lightest hair they make available?
