  2. amanda

the coupons are only valid on the movies selected for those days…. not all that great imo.

  3. Bridget

i think it’s great.. if we make it to the 1105 viewing we will get 2 tickets for 4.50! but wow its a LONG movie!

  4. An

I am not going to watch any of those movies. They are promoting the movies that are least visited. Excited for nothing:(

    • Tilla Ham

these are not the least visited, they are the oscar nominees. Life of PI is a fantastic movie, and Silver Linings was number one for a few weeks in a row. A great way to catch some stunning movies at a discount!

      • An

Maybe before they were visited before but not many people will watch them now.
I didn’t see a coupon for Hansel and Gretel and it’s most watched right now.
And I did watch Life of Pi and regret. I saw a goat die and a zebra die in VAIN and I will tell you I regretted the entire time that I had to witness such cruelty. I will hardly call this fantastic. If you love animals don’t go to this movie.

        • Brittany

These are phenomenoal movies. They didn’t really die- its a movie.

        • Brittany

And you didn’t see a coupon for Hansel and Gretel because it is not a Oscar nominee. This is what this is for- to get people excited for the Oscars.

        • Tilla Ham

you know that animals are NOT Harmed in a movie right? Millions of people will watch them now and then buy the dvds too. Sorry it’s not your cup of tea. Hansel and Gretel is not an oscar nominee, this is an oscar nominee promotion. Sheesh

          • An

No necessity to be irritated. Everybody had a right of opinion.
I didn’t like Life of Pi for the messages it conveyed.
Let’s kill a goat to teach a boy not to feed a tiger from his hand.
The boy let the dog kill the zebra and the monkey in a horrific way because he couldn’t just drop the branch. I was one of the millions who watched it because there is no way to know how bad it is before you watch it.
I know many people liked it but I cannot even watch innocent animals die without me suffering.

    • Cara

Yeah, these are the Oscar nominated (and very popular) movies — I think we’ll go check out Lincoln!

    • Brittany

These are the best movies out right now. This is very exciting. You need to look these movies up.

      • An

During the filming of the Hobbit 27 animals died. How are you sure these animals didn’t die? And even if they didn’t, in the movie they did which made me sad.
And I personally watch movies for entertainment. I don’t like spending money to get sad. This is the reason I will not watch Les Miserables and Django. And I have looked up all those movies very carefully. The ones I wanted to watch I have already watched. I understand this deal is great for some of you. But it is not for me. Telling me to look them up is not going to make a difference.
Maybe is for the Oscars but either way – these movies probably lack audience right now this is why they are promoted. I can be excited for the Oscars while I am watching Hansel and Gretel. For me it is not a good deal and honestly this movies all have been in the theater for at least a month and most people who have wanted to watch them have already watched them. AMC is trying to get more money for encouraging people watch them twice. Nothing bad in that but I still have the right to observe that for the movies released this month there are no coupons. And to observe also that all the coupons released are for movies that have been in the movies for more than a month even two.
Instead of making people excited for the Oscars AMC should make people excited to be their customers. I am not excited all of their coupons are for old movies.
Whenever someone disagrees you don’t really need to post below. Just let people say their opinion without posting the opposite below while trying to convince me you are right or that I am wrong. I see why some people are excited. But at the same time I see very well why I am not. If this deal was really generous it was going to be featuring “silver linings” (in the picture) free popcorn redeemable whenever you buy any ticket. It makes people excited for the Oscars and at the same time it doesn’t make me watch movie for which I am not excited about. I had a month to watch it.
If I wanted to watch it I would have watched it.

          *ignore my spelling mistakes
I am not a good speller but I do have great taste in the movies

        • An

          *these movies *in the theater

        • Brittany

I know they didn’t really die because I work in the movie industry.

  5. Maysie

Cool, I got a BOGO coupon for Django Unchained! I’ve been wanting to see this movie for awhile 🙂 And now my husband and I can have a cheap date night this Sunday. Thank you!

  6. Mani

Why is this this deal not listed here yet? Half of Gift Cards…www.MrElephant.com

    • eyez

have you purchased from Mrelephant.com before? looks like great deals. I’ve never heard of them until i read your post

  7. cindy2705

Wish we had an AMC theatre close to me!! They seem to have really good deals from time to time…

  8. Cara

I think this is a great promo! I have lots of friends who go see the Oscar nominated films once the nominations are out — one friend is going to see 4 movies this weekend alone, so it’s definitely not the case (as stated above) that if you want to see them, you have already.
For me personally, I was on bed rest and then had my baby 2 weeks ago, so you can bet I didn’t see any of them yet;). I think we will be going soon to our local Theater which has a “baby brigade” where you can bring babies, the lights are up slightly for diaper changes/feeding and the sound is lower than normal for their little ears:)

Wanted to see the Lincoln movie, but i looked into Get Tickets and clicked little blue calendar to find those 2 days. I’m in a major city and it’s only playing at one theater in another suburb city on other side of town, over 45 minute away. So check your dates before you too excited. And don’t forget to scan you AMC Stubs card if you have one!

  10. Towana

I print out the coupon to see DJango Unchained tomorrow. I will see Silver Lining Playbook next Sunday for the free popcorn. These movies I wanted to see. Yes, Django is very long. I saw Lincoln & Les Miserables and they were both good. I still will see Argo after I see these two movies.
