Does anyone remember the info on ordering xtra inserts? I think it was on here the other day but can’t find it now…tired of buying the paper :/ Thanks in advance!

      • kelly

What area do you live in? I have access to some discounted newspapers on the west coast. Leave your email address if interested. It’s WAY cheaper than buying inserts.

    • llc

I like couponclippers.com if you are wanting several different coupons. You can pick the quantity (unlike ebay). Very reasonable prices.

  2. millie

    where are you from?

  3. millie

    i don’t get it?4 inserts for 12.00?

  4. K

You’re probably better off searching eBay for coupon inserts. I think they are cheaper than that. That seems like a lot for 4 inserts. I could pay $8 for 4 papers.

  5. roxy

Insert insanity is insanely expensive 🙂 I was shocked at the prices, but apparently there are a lot of people who love it and think it’s a good deal…. It’s a mystery to me. Just like sometimes coupons sell on Ebay very close to face value or even funnier, somebody sold a $20 goft card on ebay for $20.01 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Melissa

Im in NY the newspaper here is $3 per paper. Total rip off. We dont even get the good coupons the west coast does

      • Pamela

I’m in RI and my newspaper in $3.00 and it has low value coupons. I used to buy whole inserts but it was insanely expensive so I now browse the coupon lists and pick each coupon I am interested in. Then I go to ebay and see if I can buy better value ones. For example my newspaper often gets coupons for $1.00 off 2 and I get .75 on one from ebay that my store doubles to $1.50. And I can buy a lot of 20 coupons for less than 3 bucks, sometimes a lot cheaper depending on demand.

Buying batches of single coupons is also nice when you want just one coupon from the whole insert as it was for me with the Cooked Perfect meatballs.

  6. roxy

Oh, and I forgot. Couponbeat is very cheap. Shipping is only 50 cents and there is no minimum. They don’t get all the good national coupons, but you can still find a lot of good coupons there.

  7. Michelle

Curious… why do some coupons state Do Not Double? Don’ t stores take the “hit” for the extra money off? Also who decides who gets what insert? The products or the Smart Source or Red Plum people?

    • Brittany

Do not double is because the manufacture feels it devalues the product. Meaning, you are way less likely to buy that product if the coupon value changes or it you have no coupon at all…At least that’s what I’ve been told.

      • Carol_R

Actually if it’s doubled you are more likely to buy the product using the coupon which leads to a higher number of coupons being redeemed which causes the manufacturer to lose more money.

  8. Jenni

No 2 Inserts for me…..I’m in southern IN & I got cheated again! I pay $3.00 for the Courier Journal…..nothing like a real rip-off. Only got 1 Smartsource.
