I watched a news show I think last week on Lego Theft!! I was shocked!! They had a CEO of a company that was stealing $1000’s of lego sets at three different Target’s and selling them on ebay!! He was makeing is own UPC’s with a lower price!! They also showed a woman and she would bring her child as a decoy!! CRAZY!!

OMG! I saw that too. So crazy!

Is it just me, or are the LEGO sets getting smaller and more expensive?

    • Em

More expensive yes, but they’re also a lot more complicated now days. Plus, they’re really the best toy out there. A great hand me down, good resale value if no one to hand down too, unbreakable for the most part and they keep kids focused!

i don’t find them more expensive, my husband has them from when he was 10 so 26 years ago and they were still the same price per brick. My son is 19 and his harry potter sets (the first run from when he was in 4/5th grade) sell for up to 700 a set used on ebay. we LOVEEEEE legos, even our three daughters ask for multiple sets for christmas, and our living room is usually lego central

    • Su

Yes, they sure are getting more expensive!!
The price per brick has gone up considerably.
It’s a real bummer for kids that save up their own money to buy them!!

I ordered mine through Walmart b/c I did not have the $25 Amazon shipping min. for free shipping. Shop at Home is 8% back at Walmart. Yeah!

  5. Kim Jimenez

What are these sites as mentioned above “shop at home” that offer % back? I’ve seen a few mentioned on here and other similar sites, is it really worth signing up for or are they gimmicks?

    • christy

Shop at home is not a gimmick. You just go to their website and search for stores and click through from their site. Each store has a different % back. You don’t get a check until you reach $20 cash back. I just got my check last week for $45.93 which was from sept to Nov.30. I have another check coming 2/28 for $20.89. It’s not an income but if you are shopping online might as well get some $ back. Here is my link if you use it sign up you get $5 into your account: https://www.shopathome.com/

Definitely legit and worth it! I thought the same, but figured why not? So every time I shop online, I go through their website first (it opens up a new window for the store you’re shopping at). I’ve gotten three checks now, the last for $80. Pretty awesome.

  6. Larren

Shop at Home is absolutely worth signing up for and it’s not a gimmick! Once you reach $20 worth of cash back, they send you a check. I’ve gotten several and they are valid checks with no strings attached:)

  7. Jerol

I have been using ebates. Is Shop at Home any different?

    • Christine

Shop at Home works about the same as eBates. They give out the check once you hit the $20 mark. Sometimes Shop At Home gives you higher % than ebates. I check both when I order online and go with the one that gives out more % for that store. If you don’t mind…can you sign up through my link https://www.shopathome.com/?IAFCG=tWajiAs43yJvwfQhpvmWTg== This will give me a Tell-A-Friend credit. Thanks so much!
