Target: Possible 90% Off Valentine’s Day Clearance = Great Deals on Clothes & Toys + Lots More
Wow! I have heard from quite a few readers now that select Target stores have reduced their Valentine’s Day clearance to 90% off. Keep in mind that lots of stores may still be at 70% off or even 50% off, so just make sure to price check. Also, items likely are not marked correctly, so again – scan, scan, scan!

Reader, Marissa, found the slipper socks pictured above (which were not marked on clearance) and price scanned them to surprisingly see that they were reduced to $0.50! Awesome!

Target has the Hoover Steamvac Spinscrub 50 carpet cleaner on clearance from $129.99 to $64.98. Amazon has pretty good reviews and it’s currently listed for $159.99. My Bissel one happened to break today and couldn’t be happier with this price! I am not sure if all the targets will have the same clearance, but there are a few of these at the Rockaway, NJ store.

My daughter is having a My little pony party and we ran to 3 different targets in our area Sacramento CA and found the my little pony figurines not only did they ring at $1.49 but they each came with a DVD ! we are going to have some very happy preschool guest !

Got a bag of 20 individual chips for 2 bucks! Were hidden with the regular spot for chips 🙂 has anybody found cake mix?
i got those 2 with the 2 free bag of pretzels inside for 2.09. i got the last one. they were not in the clearance section but where you would find the chips/pretzels, etc.
There were 8 bags os those chips in the regular aisle at my Target. my mom and I each bought 2 and left some for someone else to get as excitd as we did. lol

My hubby and I got some today, too. He was so excited to have chips to take to work with lunch. The store we were in had quite a few (about 15 bags). They were mixed in with the bags that are “on sale” for $6.49.
You snooze, you loose! I didnt get any of the deals either and Im not upset about people taking them. Im upset I didnt get to Target any faster! lol Like anything else, if theres a great deal on something you absolutely love Im sure most of us wont let it pass.
I found Betty Crocker cake mix for $1.09 at my Target( Lafayette, LA)
I was able to get 2 of the discount bags of chips. I can’t believe how cheap they were! There were still a lot left at my store in Pittsburgh.
My Pittsburgh stores had none. I knew I should have went out right away when I saw the deal online. i was hoping to get a few bags for the 5th Grade Farewell party coming up soon. Maybe there will be some Easter packs with bunny ears on ’em or something!
Actually, the chips expire next month. I realize they’re good beyond that, but they aren’t something to stockpile with such a short expiration.
Well, I feel better now that you said that. I would eat them, but I wouldn’t donate them past date. So I guess it’s a good thing I couldn’t find any!
I got a tee in the junior’s section that is grey and says ‘loved’ on it for 50% off this weekend. I’m assuming it will go down in price as the valentine stuff does. It wasn’t marked, but I had a feeling it might be considered valentines, and it was!

Target in Richmond VA is still at 70 and very picked over. On a funny-ish side note, my husband returned a clearanced $50 jogging stroller that I purchased at another Target, and it seems to be full price now.
Went to Target today and got 2 packs of Sesame Street toys for $1.79, princess Tiana and Star Wars Pez dispenser .59 each, Disney princess all figure $1.49, Star Wars m&m dispenser $1.79 and 2 bags of dark chocolate m&m’s .09 (they were on clearance for $1.59 and I had a manuf. and Target cpn each for $1.50 off 2 bags). I wish I had looked for the chips an my little pony’s.

my Target was only 70% off today. I got some of that sale bedding last week but the sheet set was $6. still a great deal!
I ended up getting 6 bags of the clearanced chips and found they each came with a coupon attached. They came to just $1.09 each! I told my husband he needs to take them to work and share with his employees. I also found some cute baby girl outfits that say cupid and love on them for just $2.67 each, regular price $8.99. I love Target deals!!
The Valentine’s Day Frito-Lay variety packs are on clearance for $2.09 and on the regular priced packs, there are peel off coupons for $2/2, making them only $1.09 each! Check the regular chip aisle for these packs too.. They’re mixed in with the regular packs! I just picked up 20 bags for my family and there were more left on the shelf!
So you took the peelies off the regularly priced package and used them on the clearance ones?
I sure hope that isn’t the case. Peelies are intended for the bag they are on.
At my store the clearance bags also had the coupons on them. Can’t be $1.09. I really hope there are still some left when my store goes 90% off.

Then why would a peelie coupon say, for example, “$1 off any 2 Nabisco cookies or crackers”? If the mfr intends for it only to be used on the item it’s placed upon, then it specifies that on the coupon.
What I was implying is, it’s rude to remove peelies off items you are not purchasing. Removing the peelies off the regular priced bags to use on clearance. It’s not right.
I don’t believe that one bit. That is the whole experience of couponing. Majority of the people that buy those bags of stuff don’t even use the coupons. Why let them go to waste?
I agree. I just read the Tresemme thread on this site and saw people saying they had several $1.75/1 peelies they couldn’t wait to use…IMO it’s not right to pull peelies off of one product to either use on another product or to hoard for use with a sale at a later date.

Its not stealing! They are still paying for the item, and as far as I know they dont sale peel of coupons. How is that stealing??
It is attached to a package so it comes with that product. Go ahead and peel away, but I still feel it is stealing.
I just feel that if a company intended the coupon to come with the purchase of the product, most could put them inside the packaging instead. If it’s outside the packaging, I take it to mean that they’re just advertising via coupons and I think it is okay to take them for future use/use on a different item as long as it is not excluded. Just my two cents.
Sometimes people have better IP or insert Qs so they save the peelies for use at another time, which is fine, because they purchased the product to which the peelie was attached.
Manufacturers use peelies with general wording such as “on any” because they can print them up in bulk and use them on a variety of product lines. When they decide this warehouse needs to move Doritos faster, they go on Doritos, while at another warehouse, it might be on the pretzels. That is why the coupon is on the outside of the package. They absolutely want you to buy the product to which they are attached. Don’t take my word for it. Email Frito Lay and see what they say.
I agree that if you take a peelie off an item that you are NOT purchasing, you ARE stealing. That’s just what it is.
Got the chips, sesame street figurines, and My Little Pony sets in West Allis, WI. So bummed i didn’t know about the princess figurines. Thrilled with my deals though! Oh, our V-Day clearance was still marked at 70% and extremely picked over.
came back from my target got the m&ms for 0.09 got only two and plenty left along with the wonka boxes of crunch and other kind. the store still 70% off and still a lot of stuff so ill wait for 90%off

i went to my local (to my house) target today since i was off for President’s day. imagine my surprise to grab some Lego Friends bagged sets (Mia having a picnic) for 70% off. THESE ARE NEVER marked down!! i got one for us and another couple for neighbors who’s little girls are fans. other than that, pretty slim pickings besides another couple of Valentine card sets – hello kitty and Lego Ninjago.
Emma with an ice cream cart should be on clearance too. I snagged one of each (they had been with the Valentines stuff Friday but they were 50% off and i wasnt sure my daughter would like them…she’s 3.5yo). When my daughter and I went Sunday the Valentines area was almost cleared of toys…but it looked like someone had carried those two pouches to the toy section and abandoned them with the other Legos). She wanted them and they were 70% off. We actually had a lot of fun assembling them together (it helps her best friends are named Mia and Emma) and I’m hoping it will encourage her to play with the Legos she’s inherited from me and my brother. Good to know other little girls like them too – hopefully it won’t be just a fad!

I am looking for a queen size purple floral organic cotton sheet set. I got a purple quilt for $20 on clearance, and saw these clearanced sheets that would match super well– but I’ve been to all of the stores in a reasonable proximity of Atlanta and only two stores had them at all, and they were both full size instead of queen. Has anyone seen these at their local target?

I saw a woman, no joke, had cleared the shelf of the My Little Ponies. Probably had, hmmm, close to 20 on thé bottom of her cart.

I agree. I just felt guilty buying so many… like I had a giant “shelf clearer” label on me. Why do we do that to ourselves? I only bought two of the sesame street guys though.. : )
There have been so many Abby and Rosalita figures left (Sesame street). Guess they aren’t too popular. Don’t worry about what others think, you know why you were buying them and thats all that matters, shelf-clearer or not 🙂 can’t wait until Easter clearance 🙂

Im gonna go check this outto save for upcoming birthdays. Also, how do clearnce deals turn out into clearing shelves topic over and over again. Thats what clerance is for, for people to buy and at some point the stores decommissions the items anyways. I personally bought about 75 items dr.seuss when their dollar section went to 50 or 70 % off. Using those as treats, decoration and fillers for an upcoming birthday. If people wanted them they had months to buy them at full price before they went on sale. Just saying.
I bought elmo books and the vday crayons, and im so excited for these figurines for my son’s second birthday this weekend, i have been planning it since last year keeping my eye out especially target toy clearance and he has about 7 sesame street toys! its the best way to shop. Im thinking about dr suess for next year!

Couldn’t agree more, Ketsy. Who cares if the lady had 20 MLP toys? Maybe her daughter was having a birthday party with 19 friends that needed favors? Maybe she just wanted them for herself. It doesn’t matter- could have paid full price if you wanted them that bad!
I agree with Ketsy. These are items on clearance, not weekly sales with limits or limited quantities. The early bird gets them all.
I did get one good deal, even though my store was only at 70 percent off: a Wilton cake pan that says “Love” for $1.50. It had no UPC and the cashier didn’t know how to price it.

Went to bay shore NY Target today and got Valentine onesies for 50 cents each. The signs in front only said 50%off so I was surprised they were ringing up 90% off. Yay!!!!
My Target was 50% off yesterday and almost everything was gone, it is rare to see even 70% here. However, I score some Christmas jammies for $.47 a set at Old Navy.
I bought some at Old Navy today too for $.47. I thought it was a mistake, but no. The ones I bought were Elmo-pink and red with hearts and stars.

I don’t care what is on them, I buy any I can find for $3 or less and save them until he grows into them. He’s been wearing halloween ones all winter. They are so great for playing inside in.
It is annoying Old Navy doesn’t have price scanner. I had to take all the Christmas jammies to the register to check prices. The green Elmo and red candy cane N reindeer were marked $1.49 but scanned $.47, the rest are $2.99-$4.99. I guess I will come back for more in 2 weeks or so. My DD is wearing the red Candy can one now, who cares if it is not the occasion.
I wish they’d put in at least one scanner in the store. Their signs aren’t always clear. If your store is slow and there is an employee in the dressing rooms they should have a scanner so they can check for you.
The signs are almost never clear, LOL! Once, a bunch of denim skirts were on sale for $10. I took two or three different ones to the register only to find they were full price. The manager didn’t even know for sure which ones were on sale.
Springfield, OH purchased the same Hoover Spinbrush Steamvac priced @ 64.98. Fortunately, it was the last one in the store (display model) so they took another 10% off. The customer service rep called it an open box discount. I used my Target debit card which took another 5% off paid 59.92 tax included!
I tried finding the Vday Playdoh (trying to get a bag for favors for an upcoming birthday), no luck! For those who have found them, have they only been in the Valentines section or…? Thanks in advance!

I got some awesome deals today! Found my little pony clearance @1.52 got 12 with out clearing the shelf also found hello kitty skirts @1.40 the one in pic above and another one pink (around the waist band is hello kitty face and red heart)hope that helps also a shirt @.90 (hello kitty is holding a heart that says be mine)also found hello kitty 5 pack lip gloss @1.19 this was in clearance section but also found one more on end cap in make up section. Did the cereal deal and schick razor deal got two 5 dollar gift cards also scored more deals that have already been posted. Thanks to a tip on here we checked the regular section of My Little Pony figurines, and sure enough they scanned at $1.51. My daughter already had the 3 our store had (variations of them anyway), but we got the 3 for her friend who doesn’t have any and my husband said “Oh get her one too!” since they did come with different accessories than the ones she has;)
I was so excited about that I forgot to check the holiday clearance! Oh well:). I got my daughter that Hello Kitty skirt at a different target 2 days ago and it was way more than what the reader above paid — good find!
The Target by my house cleared ALL their Valentine’s stuff :/ there’s not a single thing anywhere in the store. Me thinks they packed it all up and shipped to another store maybe? There’s 2 other Targets nearby I’m going to try to swing by and see what they have.
Wanted to add that Valentine’s clearance is a great way to do Easter baskets cheaply. I look for little toys or stuffed animals and whatever candy I can find that isn’t specific to V’s day. The kids end up with some great things I couldn’t afford otherwise. I also picked up some Wilton baking stuff for Cake Boss bday party that was on clearance.

I got my daughter who loves hello kitty two tutus for 3 bucks total plus several elmo/hello kitty shirts for 90 cents a piece as you said. so awesome. also picked up my little ponys, and princess dolls for easter gifts (: love it! and got the body wash for 67 cents. i got to show my youngest how she could buy more toys with her money she’s been saving since it was one sale.

Hit up my Target in South Austin, TX (William Cannon/290) this morning around 10am and they still had several My Little Ponies, Sesame Street characters (only the one style Rosita/Abby), and 70-90% off Valentine’s day clearance (you must scan to be sure). Got cute character tees for my son to grow into at 90% off so $.90 a piece. Couldn’t find any chips though. Did the cereal deal and it printed a Target catalina for $2 off 5 boxes of GM cereal. Looks like I’ll be going back for more cereal!

I got 3 bags of playdoh. BTW, I bought a dolls of the world barbie collector (Chile) for $14 original price $34.99 (price match with Walmart online clearance). Today I bought 2 more dolls (Argentina $24 and Australia $26) price match with Amazon.

yes…this was a brand new store though. I went to another store prior to this one and they didn’t have much stuff left.
Target is still 70 in Richmond (VA), but today I was looking for the toys. Must have caught the errors on the Sesame Street figures, My Little Ponies, and princess dolls because I found TONS and they were all ringing up $4.99, $5.04, and $5.99! I don’t think the stores will get to 90 percent off–two stores were wiped out of almost all the candy (I don’t think I’ve ever seen that! There’s usually a lot of candy.) and there’s just weird odds and ends left over. No clearance girls’ bedding, either.
Oops, looks like the $2 GM cereal catalina is actually a manufacturer coupon, not a Target coupon (just redeemable there). Didn’t want to confuse anyone on that.

when i went to mine last week, i managed to score a crib sheet on clearance for $1.90, i was so excited… i didn’t even need one, but for that price i couldn’t pass

thank you for all the posts. was able to get the chips and sesame, mlpony toys etc…but here’s a tip- only certain bags of the chips were scanning 2.09. you have to look at the UPC code once you find one that scans for 2.09. there is no marking on these bags making them different from the full price ones. i found them mixed in the chip aisle with no valentines marking or what not. Also, if you have little ones, check the clearance baby valentine clothing. got some cute heart leggings for like $2 and an adorable head wrap (pink/white striped w/black rosette) for .90! i love target and these posts, otherwise I would not have found any of the toys as they were not marked!
The difference in chips is the pink heart outline and the Rold gold heartzles, that is the difference from the other bags. H2h
