do you cut them up before freezing or just throw them in whole?

      • CO Mama

the butchers at WF are always happy to cut/quarter chickens & wrap them for me to freeze, HTH : )

      • MJ

These are soo easy to do in the crock pot and they turn out delicious.

I’ve been waiting all year for this!!! So excited. I guess I have to skip the gym and go get my chickens.

  3. jenny

How much are they normally? So it would be $20 for a 5 lb chicken? Still seems pricey!

    • jenny

      Oops, I mean $10 for a 5 lb chicken. 🙂

    • sara

      that would be $2 x 5lbs = $10 i think 🙂

Advice on how to make homemade stock and ckn noodle soup???

  5. Lisa

Carrots 2 or 3. A whole chicken or just old bones boiled.one large onion. 2 or 3 celery stocks. 2 normal boullion cubes. If you can find maggi boullion cubes at most ethnic markets put one large. 5_6 bay leaves. I like a little salt and pepper and paprika. Then strain.

  6. Lisa

If you want an ethnic flair to it add 4_5 cardommon pods and strain out

Thanks Lisa!! Boil ckn and then take meat off bones?
Add noodles? Use carcass for stock??

So excited for this deal. We had a big snow storm on Thursday and I was worried I wouldn’t be able to make it to the store, but the snow plows did a good job and I got my chickens. 🙂
