I got this the last time that they were free and the company offers excellent deals on their website from time to time. A few months ago they had the bags at buy 3 get 3 free. You had to buy 3 to get the deal, but then they also had a $10 off coupon and free shipping. These handhelds work really well and I was tempted to wash the bags and reuse them. After you wash them, they don’t seal as well the second time so we only use them once. It comes with two or three bags in the unit, so you can always try it out. We find that they keep our meat so much fresher in the freezer. We use it all the time.
I don’t understand this! When I click on the Target mobile coupons, it has me sign up for the service, but I don’t know where to find the coupons!
You have to sign up to get coupons sent to your phone. You’ll be able to access it on your phone.
They did not honor the coupons last time, they said it was for the larger system. 🙁
The coupon specifically says its for the handheld kind.
Okay figured out that part (mobile coupons) but now I can’t figure out where the coupon is on the other link. It just takes me to the foodsaver website
How did you get the mobile coupon to load to your phone? It hasn’t sent me anything. Said they randomly send up to 5 a month.

Are the bags one time use only?
They’re high quality bags but I’ve found that after we wash them they don’t seal as well the 2nd time. The vacuum seal is on the front of the bag and I think that I wash them too aggressively and loosen the seal. When the website has a sale, you can get really great deals on the bags. I just stock up.

I just got back from Target with this deal. I used the mobile coupon first, and then the manufacturer coupon and it took off $9.98…weird. But, it was on sake for $17.99 so FREE plus a little overage. I also got 2 Easter cards from the $1 bin. I used the $2 off 2 mobile coupon because it only excludes cards UNDER $1. The cashier checked the wording and pushed it through. Major score!
I think when it took off $9.98 because with the original price being $19.98 minus the Target Q that’s what it should take off and the coupon doesn’t know it’s on sale
I dont need it so I will pass. 😉

Totally making my hubby go with me to do the deal too! (I signed him up to get the mobile coupons too) These will be perfect for the weddings I have coming up, even with the purchase of the bags it still makes for a great gift that is easy on the budget! 🙂
We got these when they were free with stacked coupons last year. They do not work very well. The air always comes back into the bag. I have a real foodsaver and it works above and beyond the handheld ones. Not worth even the trip for the free one in my opinion.
Last time there was a deal on this type of unit that was the major complaint. I’m passing up this one also.

Is there a way to get the Target mobile coupons if you don’t have texting on your smartphone phone? I would like to get this deal to give out as gifts!
I got one of the handheld Freshsavers the last time it was available free with coupons and I really like it. I bought the cheaper Ziploc pump bags and they don’t hold the vacuum very well. Where this unit really shines is using it with glass jars. Take a thumbtack and punch a hole in the middle of the cover. Use a small piece of high quality electrical tape to cover the hole. Screw the top on tight, use the Freshsaver over the tape, and the vacuum holds until you lift the tape or unscrew the cover. Sometimes the jar doesn’t hold the vacuum because the cover is a little off. In that case, heat the cover with a hair dryer and tighten the cover. Then the vacuum will hold. I reuse all kinds of glass jars from pasta sauce, salsa, jam, pickles, etc.
If you have an iphone and download the target app you can view mobile coupons that way. Just load the app and on the home screen scroll down until you get to the add that says “your coupons, now on your iphone.” Click on it and it’ll open up the mobile coupons. I don’t know if it’s the same for android, but I would think it would be.
I just tried it and unfortunately the android Target app directs you to the website where you sign up for texts via shortcodes. Thanks for suggesting the app! It was worth trying!
I was stopping by Target earlier anyway and there was one on the shelf for $16.99. The cashier scanned my mobile coupon then the paper one and it gave me the overage. She said awesome. So I am putting it with my gifting cabinet. This week I added 2 free B&BW sprays, a hand sanitizer , 2 medium sized candles all for free!
You did great! I always feel good when I open my gift closet and see all which I’ve gathered to give. I feel as though I’ve got a good start this year. I’ve been making trips to Goodwill each week and have found some amazing things quite inexpensively, some have even been new, never used! Plus, the Best Buy gift certificates I earn via Facebook has really helped.

Sign up for emails from the company, they usually have buy1 get1 free sales and allow you to use a retail-me-not coupon code and free shipping. I wait for those sales and stock up

I got two of these the last time they were free. They are awesome. We bought pork loin in bulk and tested regular brand name freezer bags with these. In less than a week the normal bags has frost in them. Months later these had none.
The company sells the bags on their site and frequently have great sales. The bags end up being only slightly more expensive than store bags with coupons.
I just gave my mom our backup one and am going to try to get another one for free – just in case ours breaks. Seriously, I love this. The containers are good too. I keep our brown sugar fresh in one of them. We also rigged their marinator to work with our handheld.

just wanted to let you know i just got back from target, picking one of these up. the register scanned the mobile coupon and the paper coupon, showed that it took it off on the screen but then still charged me $6.99. i went to guest services to make sure i was reading the receipt right and the guy said, i was right, it only took $10 off. so just be sure to check that both coupons come off for sure!
Mine did the same thing and I took it to customer service and explained that the mobile coupon should have come off at 6.99 b/c she scanned it first but the receipt only showed $10 manuf. taken off. She scanned my receipt and the mobile coupon and then gave me a full $10 back. After going home and adding it all up, it seemed like that coupon was taken off originally but not shown anywhere on the receipt. We ended up buying 10 or so items and after coupons paid $2. I think that mobile coupon may not show up as a line item on the receipt but actually come off.
Bummer. Made my purchase and realized that they didn’t take off the other $10 (mine was originally $16.99). Customer service and manager said that bc the price was brought down to $6.99, I couldn’t use the other $10 off. I didn’t even care about the overage, I just wanted it off the bill. Oh well, next time!

I had a terrible couponing day! Went to CVS to pick up the Aztec, couldn’t use the $2 coupon because the cashier said the coupon was not in the system. Move to Target, found the last one the shelf and when I went to check out. The cashier called the MP, and made me wait for 5 minutes because he had to take the coupon to the manager. After 5 minutes, he came out with a store manager and he told me that the RedPlum coupon for $10 sealing vaccum only works for the larger system which is $69. Idk, I asked the cashier politely that I wanted to canceled my transaction. I’m only 19, and I’ve been a couponer since 17. It makes me wanna give up on couponing.
Don’t give up, just use a different cashier, preferably young and male. I know this sound bad to say that but after so many years of couponing, I noticed that those cashiers work the best, because they are easy going, friendly and willing to manually enter the coupon when it doesn’t scan. Nowhere on the coupon it says that it can be only used on the expensive item. You better fill out a survey that you got from Target and let them know what happened. Don’t be surprised if someone from Target will call you to find out the details of your transaction. Good luck!
