    • Katrina

      Commas help so much.

      • stacy

Hahahhaha – just finished my hair treatment – so smooth !!!

  3. Em

Does anyone know if this is refined or unrefined? Also, is it in glass or plastic?

  4. Fay

it is cheaper at Costco or Trader Joes. Costco come aroudn $4.50 for 16 ounces.

    • Kris

Yup Trader Joes was $5.99 this week

      • Tonya

I love the Trader Joe’s coconut oil!!!

  5. E

Does coconut oil taste like coconut or does it have that weird coconut water taste?

    • Em

      Refined = no flavor
Unrefined = coconut! Good coconut not fake tasting.

    • Krista G

Extra Virgin coconut oil still smells and tastes like mild coconut, to me and love it. I didn’t care for the coconut water either, so I mixed it with instant coffee instead of dumping it out 🙂

  6. Ella

    I was charged tax.

Where can one find unrefined extra virgin coconut oil in glass jars? Can they be found at Costco or trader joes? Will the label say unrefined or refined? Also, it sure has a lot of saturated fats? Are those good or bad saturated fats? I have not learned anything about coconut oil yet except people love it.

    • Em

Extra virgin is just something they put on the label to make people buy. Extra virgin and virgin are the same. I get it in glass jars at various local health food stores. I’ve never been to Cotsco or Trader Joes, so idk about them. Yes, it will say unrefined or refined, you want unrefined for health. It’s very good for you in moderation. Lots of natural health remedies come from it. It also makes great deo, toothpaste, hair masks, lotions, scrubs, everything! We even use it for lube. 🙂

I ordered some last week and waiting to get it in the mail, I’m hoping soon so if I like it I can stock up on more.

When I subscribed and saved, it says my order will not ship until next month. Will the 6.94 price be charged or the current price when it ships?

    • Carmen

You’re locked into the 6.94 price for next months shipment. If you have used subscribe and save before, all items will ship on the same day each month. So I’m guessing that’s when your normal delivery would be. I’m due a shipment the 25th, but this won’t ship until next month around the 25th. HTH

I can’t stand the taste of coconut so I don’t cook with this, but I do use it on my skin and it’s wonderful. I put it everywhere, even on my lips instead of chap stick. You can also whip it into a nice, natural body cream. So much better for you than chemical stuff!

I forgot I had that $5 credit from a couple months back–I got the cocounut oil shipped for only $1.94! Can’t beat that!

Looks like it’s in stock, but my order won’t go through. Error message says “We are unable to create a subscription at this time because the product is out of stock or you have exceeded the purchase limit.” I haven’t even ordered one, so it’s definitely not because I exceeded any limits.

When my favorite lipsticks melted together on a sunny day in the car, I mourned the loss of some very spendy products. Not ready to let go, I mixed them with EV coconut oil and it created my everyday go-to product. I’ve been making my own lip colors ever since with freebie lipsticks mixed with 2/3 coconut oil = semi-transparent and doesn’t disappear off my lips as quickly as lipstick.
