I thought the game itself had to be $10 in order to quailfy for the free product?

    • Ashlee

If you look at the picture with the price it says that it comes with a free product.

  2. Charlee

I think Aprils point is that in order to get the free game it says you have to purchase a game that is at least $10

  3. Paola

this doesn’t make sense. Doesn’t the total have to be $10? So even if a game is priced under $10, you’d have to buy two of them to get over the $10 minimum?

I’m wondering how this deal will work as well… The wording makes it sound like you have to purchase a game that is $10 in order to get the free card game. But maybe the register will look at the total price for both… If someone tries this deal, please let us know if it works! 🙂

If the sign says you get a free game with purchase, they have to honor it even if it is printed by mistake.

It says on a $10 purchase but those two games (Cootie and Candyland) have a sign next to them that says if you purchase one of them, you will get a free card game, even if it isn’t over $10. For some reason, they are included in the sale and are an exception. Those were the only two games under $10 with the free card game sign. Everything else was over $10. Hope that makes sense.

The 2nd line says: “Even sweeter, there are quite a few games that are in fact included in this sale that are priced lower than $10. Sweet!” And if you look at the posted pics, the signs under the games say “FREE Hasbro game with purchase” and the games are priced only $7.79 or $7.99. Sometimes the deals are even better than advertised! 🙂

Ahhhh, I see that now Tina… I was just reading the red Target picture, and scanned through Collin’s writing! Gotta pay closer attention next time! 🙂

This deal worked for me. Got Candyland and the Monopoly card game. Also got the princess memory game. Stocking up for birthday parties throughout the year. What doesn’t get used will be donated at Christmas time.

I went to my Target last night to get Candyland and a card game. The sign by the board games state “free card game with board game purchase”. I went to pick up a card game and the sign by the cards state “free card game with board game purchase of $10 or more”. I asked about this, and was told that I would need to purchase another board game to put the total over $10 in order to get the free card game. So, I left empty-handed. After reading the comments here and how others have been successful with getting a game under $10, I’m going back to try again!

Is the coupon still available? I can’t find it 🙁

I went last night and got this deal. The cashier had no problem with me getting the candyland and monopoly card games. However, she had a big problem with my savings on the Disney memory game. First she said that I couldn’t use the 30% off TQ because it wasn’t a Disney game, I had to point out where it said Disney on the box. Lol. Then she said that if it was a Disney game then I couldn’t use the Hasbro $3 off coupon because it wasn’t Hasbro. I showed her were it said on the box Hasbro. I was VERY polite and calm. She on the other hand, went over the coupons fine print twice! Finally, she very relunctantly finished the transaction and with an attitude told me that I saved $17.77 on that transaction (I had 2 other items besides the games). As I started to walk away, I noticed that she didn’t discount the febreeze MQ for $0.50. I knew she was upset, but I just couldn’t walk away, I walked back to the register and she turned and looked at me and said “what now?” with so much attitude. I didn’t know wether to laugh or get upset but I kept my cool and very calmly told her that she missed a coupon. She gave me a $0.50 refund. While she was processing the refund, she snapped at a man that was in line and told him to move back because it wasn’t his turn yet. Wow! Maybe she was just having a bad day but if I made her upset, that’s ridiculous that she will be upset at a customer just for trying to maximize their savings. I had all my coupons together, I wasn’t trying to use them on the wrong items. Don’t know what it was that made her so upset.

got monopoly game today (11.38-4=7.38) and monopoly card game for $6 but card game didn’t come off at the end the cashier had to manually modify the price to 0. I got a $4 coupon off monopoly from Food Lion “serve up game night” booklet, there’re also $5 off any jenga and $3 off any battleship game. Maybe other grocery store have these coupon booklets too.

Thanks Collin! I did this today and to got an even sweeter deal! I purchased the cooties game (7.79) and used the $3 off hasbro candyland/cooties coupon. My target had a battleship card game that was part of the ‘free with $10purchase deal’ and I just so happened to have a $3 off battleship coupon from the hasbro website! The cashier didn’t even question my coupons! So, I got the Cooties game and the Battleship card game for $1.79 + tax!!! 🙂
