If you have an iPhone and/or iPad, you’ll definitely want to check out a new app called Zapiddy. Zapiddy is a free iPhone app that pays you to answer questions & take photos while you shop in-store.

To get started, head on over here to download Zapiddy for free from the iTunes App Store. Zapiddy currently works with iphone (3GS, 4, 4S and 5) and iPad generation 2 and newer running iOS 5.0 and newer. Note that in order to be eligible for location-based jobs, your phone must have its GPS enabled while you’re completing the job.

Once you’ve downloaded the Zapiddy app, you’ll be prompted to create your free user account. Then just click on the magnifying glass to see what jobs are available in your area. You may be asked to answer a few questions, check the price of a particular product, or take a photo of a product in a store.

Typically, you’ll earn from $2 to $10, depending on the complexity of the job. Available jobs will change on a daily basis, so you’ll want to check in often to see what opportunities are in your area. Once you complete a job, your submission may go through a brief approval process and then once your work is approved, they’ll pay you via PayPal.

Note: Zapiddy will be activating accounts on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the number of jobs available in a given area. The sooner you create an account, the sooner you’ll have access to the jobs near you.

Do you currently use Zapiddy?! If so, share your experience with us in the comments below!

I downloaded the App and I’m registering and it says I have to donate all my earnings to a charity.

    • Eric

Carol, it looks like we need to clarify that registration language. You can earn money (usually $4 per Job) PLUS your work generates a Zapiddy donation to a charity you select when you register. Happy Zapping!

No, I was wrong, looks like it is only an option. How long do we typically get to complete a task? I was in Kroger yesterday so I probably won’t go back for several days. Just wondering approximately how long we have after we see the task to actually complete it.

    • Cindy

How do you set the option to earn the money for yourself? I can’t see a way to change that in the app’s settings.

    • Eric

Cindy, you’ll get paid the amount shown on the job. Some Zappers have made hundreds of dollars already (and it just launched a few weeks ago).

Carol, payment takes about 5 business days, using PayPal. Happy Zapping!

No task in my area 🙁

  4. Anna

This sounds maybe similar to Field Agent and GigWalk. Those are two other apps you can download where you do little jobs and get paid to Paypal.

Hi how does I otta snd shop kick work??? How do they pay u? I did the little quizzes. And the monies was added to my cart but nothing ever sent please please explain how they work in detail… Lol I’m slow

    • Colleen

As Emma said below, you must complete the tasks, then purchase the product, upload your receipt (from a participating store), and then scan the bar code of the product to confirm it was the right size/style. Then you will accrue money in your account and get paid when you reach a minimum of $5.

    • Sarah H.

Shop kick — you earn by flipping though the look books — click on each store, look for blue stars, flip through the ones with blue stars until you get the “reward”. Quickest way to earn, though, is from walk-ins — Target, Old Navy, American Eagle. My Macy’s never works, but the flagship in NYC did!

Love inbotta. I’ve made over $10 in the last month on stuff I already buy! Try it out here is my referral link: Sign up for Ibotta here: https://ibotta.com/r/jMNxLg
    Thanks

  11. Emma

Shannon you need to both do the quizzes AND buy the product. It’s only after you buy the product and upload the receipt that you’ll get paid. Hope that helps

As for Zapiddy, it pays users to complete tasks. Typical job pays $4 for 5 or 6 questions. Normally those questions pertain to in-store activity. In addition, Zapiddy also makes a donation to a Children’s Hospital that users select when registering the App. BOTH! 🙂 You will find more Zapiddy Jobs on the weekends. Watch for them. Follow the instructions and make some money!

  18. Marilyn

I have saved a few jobs and by the time I get to the store it disappears from my jobs! I’ve wasted gas 3 time going to the store for it not to be there! Frustrating….

  19. Rachel

I MAKE MONEY WITH MY IPHONE. ZAPIDDY.COM

  20. illeen

How long do you keep jobs on you account before they are automatically removed from your iphone?? This is my first time and I grabbed four of them nearby. But I am not anywhere near them for next within 2 days..

    • Eric

Really depends on the nature of the Job. In general Zapiddy jobs go fast–meaning it’s a first-come-first-Zapped arrangement, and somebody else may get there first. Keep an eye on the app. Jobs come and go. And remember to refresh the screen before you head out on a Zapping run.

      • Illeen

Not what I mean…. What I mean that I already grabbed them and they are on my list waiting to be completed. What is the length time period before I lose them like automatically removed from my list for not completing them..
        Thanks!

        • Eric

There is no set expiration period. Some jobs are only valid for 4 or 5 hours. Some jobs are open for 4-5 days OR until the quota is met. Does that help?

      • Illeen

Oh my golly !! They are already gone within an hour since I grabbed them to my job list.. So you are sayin that others do pick up the same locations as I do, and whoever finish the job first earn money !?! It is not “reserve” jobs? It’s like race to complete it first even several people pick the same locations/same addresses on their list??? Is this correct ? Oh my god. Wow.. Crazy…

      • Illeen

So someone must be that desperate for money by driving zap-zip all over the city.. Wow. My town isn’t bigger and I don’t think there is many people knowing about this app to make money.. So there must be someone who does driving all over city, not worth gas money..

  21. Alanna

@llleen- this is my first time using Zapiddy. And I’m trying to figure out the same question! I’ve been using Field Agent and they’re reserved. You just have to complete them within 120 mins. I want to use Zap. But what if someone beats me to the store and I’m driving all over the place, guzzling gas…

    • Illeen

      Hi Alanna,
Yup, not worth my time rushing to do the zap job to beat others. Zap doesn’t warn you if zap jobs are also on others’ list. It is like a blind game to see who complete the zap job first. I love FA and I have good relationship with FA and Gig. Zap is perfect for idiots who waste time driving to stores and find zap jobs are already gone, the poorer they are with amount of gas loss. If I happen to go to grocery or retail store to buy something, I would check to see if there is any zap job available on my iPhone. which is never happened.. Time is unpredictable..

  22. K A 56

Hello: I’m very new to Zapiddy, I signed up this afternoon. I clicked on a job which stated the hours to be completed were 1pm – 4pm. Since it was 5 pm when I reserved it I put it into Save My Jobs file so I could complete it tomorrow, Sunday, 5-3-15. It was there for a little over 4 hours then disappeared by 9:30pm. Will someone please explain how this happened and why? Your help and advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you, K A 56
