Target Reminder: FREE Reusable Bag, Coupons & Possible FREE Samples
Just a reminder, Target is giving away 1.5 million FREE reusable bags as well as sustainable product coupon books that offer over $40 in savings today, April 21st. I sent my hubby to get me one this morning, he walked in at 9:55 and they only had 10 left! They started given them out when opened! I was very happy i got one with the coupons and the samples! 🙂

Yes I got a bag it’s cute it came with the coupons and samples a lady was passing them out at the target near me in Wisconsin. I couldn’t convince my fiance to come with me and he teased me mercifully when he saw the bag and how small it was.
So, it’s not worth getting? I have to travel an hour for the nearest Target.
For an hours drive just for that? With gas prices the way they are, I’d say skip it.
No. The bag is tiny w/ a few samples (IF you get the samples). Some of the coupons in the booklet are unique, but many of them are the same coupons on Target’s website or mobil app. Not worth the gas or time if you have to drive for an hour!
no, I wouldn’t waste my time or gas (unless I was already heading that way to begin with) The bag is really small, its cute for like small trips for a few items, but not major grocery shopping! Think the size of a grocery store plastic bag, except this one is washable. AFA the samples, mine had 1 small bag of Annies bunnies, 1 Method Dishwasher Tablet, Burt’s Bees Facial Cream and Seventh Generation Dish soap + the coupon booklet with $44 value.
Not worth going just for the bag if you have an hour drive with the gas money you would be wasting unless you were going to go anyways.
Thanks everyone! That saved me a lot of money, considering I have a gas hog (99 Suburban) to drive! And my luck, they would be gone too.
LOL, I too was disappointed with the size. I find it ironic that the bag is so small that it’s useless and that I’ll probably end up throwing it away. I suppose I’ll use it to carry my lunch for a bit, then in the garbage it goes.
If you thought it was too small, then maybe you shouldn’t have taken one. Just a thought. Throwing it away doesn’t seem to “earth friendly”.
Agree. I’ll use one for lunch probably, and my husband’s will probably be used by our toddler in her play kitchen.

Got there early and got a bag with samples!! The method dishsoap sample has a coupon attached to it too :), in addition to the awesome coupon book

Yep, got there at 10:05 and they were handing out multiples. Guess they wanted to get rid of them. Both had a few samples but I found the coupons disappointing. Small bag==maybe good for a lunch bag.

We went before church at 10:00 and they were just setting up. They gave me one and all three of my girls one. They were thrilled with the bunny grahams and I was thrilled with the coupons! 🙂
That’s great they let all three of your daughters have one. I went with my 18 year old daughter and wouldn’t give her one since (they assumed without asking) we were in the same household. But when we checked out, the checker gave her one. No samples in that, but the bag is cute and we will use them for lunches.
Went at 11 in Myrtle Beach, and they still had TONS of bags. I got samples, but I could see where some were flat and didn’t have the samples in them. I was a little disappointed that it was a small bag – I can’t use it for my everyday shopping.
My Target just had the bag and coupons. No little samples.
same here.. I went there as early as 10 AM got a bag but no samples..
Not worth making a special trip for the bag. Small bag as others said, good for a lunch bag – or if you go to just pick up a prescription or cold medicine (or library books). Only a few samples, plus a coupon booklet.
My MN store started handing them out only when I asked about them as I checked out my groceries at 10:05, they had a cart full of the bags; I’m guessing 100?
We got one full of goodies!! 😄
I got mine! I am only a 5 minute drive, so no big deal. They had a few left at 11pm.
Got my bag today and the following samples:
Method smarty dish plus sample and $1 off coupon
Seventh Generation natural dish liquid sample in Lavender floral & mint

We went and they gave us 6 bags with coupons but no samples (yes, bags they had bags inside of bags)
Whoop whoop, still had bags at eleven thirty here, plus a guy giving out samples if Meyers hand soap and man coupons for 1 off . Add that to the 1off coupon in the bags and I got 24 oz dish soap for .99!
I got to Targert at about 9:45 and the boxes hadnt been opened yet. Around 10, somebody asked when they were going to give them out and a line started to form, almost bombarding the lady. She was handing them out in the jewerly section. I’m not sure why she didn’t set up in the back and then pass them out at the entrance. It was interesting, but I’m glad i was able to get one with the samples and coupon book.
would love to hear if any Atlanta folks got bag and samples or just bag. Just leaving church and don’t wanna make a run for nothing
I got mine at 9:50am, the girl was giving them out at the registers by CS after you pay, not on the way in. I got my samples and booklet, I was the first one to get a bag she had just set up in a cart by the exit.

We got to our Target around 11:30am. They were handing out the bags by the produce section. No samples for us though.
I got one around 10am, all the samples except the Annie’s (which is too bad since I had my 2 year old with me!). Grateful for it, regardless.

Yes you can. Its 5 cents per bag. At least in WI.
Yes, in southern california they are still doing that, but the cashiers forget, so I always have to ask them.

My daughter and I got there too late. About 11:00. They were all out of samples. I would say they were not quite prepared.

I got one, walked in at 10:15 (Northridge, CA). There was a very small bag of Annie’s bunny grahams, small sample of burt’s bees daily moisturizing cream for sensitive skin, sample of seventh generation natural dish liquid, one sample of method smarty dish (for dish washer machines), a booklet of target coupons, and of course a small reuseable target bag. Not worth the gas, but I was out to do errands anyway.
I was at my Target from 9:45 – 10:30 and they weren’t handing them out at all. They either didnt do it or chose to do it early. So much for the ad saying 10 a.m. 🙁
Same thing happened to me.
I sent my husband to get one. No one at the store seemed to know where they were etc. Took them ten minutes to figure it out. But, he got one with samples and coupon book.
All of the ones in my area (LA county) handed them out when they opened, but they still had a lot. My parents and I went and we snagged 3 with samples and then 15 in all (we target hopped lol). They’re helpful for my mom because she can’t carry anything heavy. Perfect cute little bags! 😀
Bag is so ridiculously small that it would not even hold a bag of chips. I declined taking one because they are useless. Way to go Target for being so cheap and these bags will all end up being throw away because they are too small to be used for grocery shopping!
I know they are small but they can be used for lunches, carry snacks in if your are going out on a outing, great for those that have a toddler for their small toys in the car or a change of clothes/diaper/wipes instead of carry a large diaper bag.
I used mine today! I grocery shopped and it worked great for some items I bought. It would hold a bag of chips. Useless, not a chance. Great for small trips, prescription pick-up, could be used for a little one who wants to bring along a few toys….I can find many uses;)
It’s perfect size for drugstore shopping, it’s not really meant to use for grocery shopping.
I was pleased to get one, and if I can remember to use it, will save 5 cents each time.
Reusable bags are not only used for grocery shopping. I used that size bag for snacks all the time. We also use them to store small toys crayons to keep on hand in the car for unexpected restaurant trips or other unexpected stops. We have another one in our trunks with first aid stuff, wipes just in case.
My hubby was heading out this morning to get a haircut and such so I asked him to drop by Target as it is on his way and he scored a bag with all the samples and 3 coupon booklets. I think it is worth the trip to stop in because you never know how these coupons might match up in the future for super deals.
I received the coupons but the bags were completely out at 3pm. =\ Guess I just missed it.
We got two bags but no coupons or samples in them. :-/
I would love to know if anyone in Philly area got samples…the Target nearest me had no idea what was going on and I went at 9…they said the person hadn’t shown up yet so whoever was there asking they just gave a bag…last yr same store we got samples and we were there round same time
I went to the one on Snyder Ave and my husband and I each got a bag with coupons but no samples at around 10:30am. There were two employees handing them out as people were exiting. It looked like they had a lot of bags to give away!
Target @ Plymouth Meeting started handing them out at 10am on the dot.
Ps- they had coupons and samples inside. The lady also asked if I wanted 1 or 2
I got 4 bags total today, 1 with samples, and boy am I glad I did! 4 of the TQs for toms of maine plus 2 of the $2 MQs got me four toms of maine kids toothpastes for $2!!! That’s my kids fave so I’m so glad i got this deal!
The secons target I went to was way late this afternoon, around 2 est, and they literally could not give the bags away. The lady seemed grateful when I asked for an extra.
And I think these are a perfect size for small trips.

Got to my store by 10:10, had to ask where they were giving them out. It was over by the Cafe area and it was two ladies, never seen before with a cart full handing them out. Then around 11:30 they only were handing out bags but I think it was a store employee then or just one of the ladies that was there earlier, did not get a good look at her.
I would’ve loved to get one, had to take a class after church and drive right over after, they were all out. Guess I had high hopes that they’d have enough. Oh well next time.
Got my bag! No samples but got the coupons! The bag is a perfect size for taking lunch to work! 😊 I asked a cashier if there were any left and they sent me over to customer service… They still had a bunch!
I was at my store at 9:30–no bags. I don’t think they were giving them out. Last year they had the bags but no coupons or samples.

I have washed mine before. I didn’t even used the gentle cycle just the regular one. Just lay them flat to dry. They will dry really fast.

Got one in Columbus, OH! The bag is the same size as last year. It is perfect for lunches, or shopping for small items. My kids use this size bag to take Valentines to school! So many uses!
Got 1 this morning about 10:30 in Centerville OH store with coupon booklet-2 actually- and all 4 samples. They had at least 2 full shopping carts of the bags.
I was there @9:30 and they didn’t have anything. Then I looked at the shopper and it said that it was @ 10:00 so by the time I was done shopping they had them out. There was a lady handing them out by the entrance. They gave me some with samples and even gave me a few that only had the coupons so I was able to score like 5 baggies (I asked them if I could get some extras and they were more than happy to give them out). YES, they are small BUT if you have kids they will work great on long trips. Just fill them up with snacks and juice and give each kid a baggie. It works wonders! Also keep in mind that the coupons will expire by the end of May so we need to keep our eyes opens for some good deals so we can use them fast.
Me and My Husband had to go to 2 different targets…. One was not handing them out because the store “misplaced” them/ they didn’t have them…. The other target the lady handing them out was late but i still managed to snag 2 Baggies filled with The Burts Bees moisturizer, Seventh Gen. Dish Soap and Laundry Detergent, the Annie’s Bunnies and the Dish Packets and The Coupons! I Love the Bag since i don’t like Lugging around my Massive Pile of Big Ones when I’m Only After little things at the store! THANKS Again for the Reminder! BTW, We got there at 9:30a, went shopping for like an hour and then we got them! yay!! 😀
I went to the Target on Snyder Ave in Philadelphia around 10:10am and they were handing out the bags with samples and a coupon book inside. There was a woman at the exit entrance handing it out. It seemed like they were running out of the bags with the samples because the ones that she had left in her cart were flat and folded. The bag is super cute. Since I shop at Target on a regular basis, this bag will definitely come in handy especially for a small items! 🙂
Went to Target around 12noon and they were handing out the bags with a coupon book only. I can find Target coupons on line as good as the ones in the book and, since the bag would have been of little use to me, I left both the bag and the book in the cart for the next person if they were interested.
For anyone maybe not wanting their bag because of size– these are GREAT for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes and I know children that have very little would LOVE them to keep their goodies all together. We try to get several bags during the year to add to our shoe boxes and since these were FREE– even better! 🙂
