Walgreens Update: Planters Nutrition Peanut Butter May Not Be Available In-Store Until 4/28

Just a heads up, as I mentioned in the Walgreens Weekly Deals, you can score better than FREE Planters Nutrition peanut butter through 4/27. Well… unfortunately, due to shipping issues, this item may not be available at your local store until as late as 4/28. On a positive note, though, it seem that most stores are extending the $2.99 Register Reward and sale price until May 4th! I would recommend verifying this with your store. If this is the case, be sure to hang onto your coupons to hopefully be able to snag this deal starting 4/28…

My store had both but they were not marked. Also, I tried to get one of each flavor in two separate transactions and the chocolate cherry didn’t print a register reward. I’m not sure if its just because it’s just not working. Or, if they are limiting register rewards per card now that you have to use it to get the deals. Does anyone know if register rewards are now limited to one per card? Or is it still one per transaction?
I purchased 2 in separate transactions cherry chocolate and got both RR’s…
I had the same experience. Cinnamon printed the reward, Chocolate Cherry did not. I didn’t even realize it until I left the store. I guess I was lucky to find any at all; the pickins were slim. Good of them to extend the offer – will hold on to my fist full of coupons until next week 🙂

I tried the chocolate cherry when Walgreens first started carrying them. They are excellent on a toasted plain bagel!
My family tried the cinnamon raisin it was beyond dry. Got stuck to the rough of our mouth. My friend bought the same kind and had the same experience. We gave our jar to the neighbor and they wouldnt eat it either. Ive only had an experience with one flavor and it was not good.
I have tried the chocolate cherry and loved it!

I went to a Walgreens in Brooklyn, NY. They only had two jars of the chocolate cherry (I’ve tried both flavors and they are good). I purchased one jar and the price reduced to 2.99 but the reward did not print out. The cashier gave me rewards from another product since the peanut butter reward didn’t print. There wasn’t a sign about extending the promotion.
I bought the chocolate cherry. The register reward didn’t print, they called up the manager and he took my receipt to another register and printed the reward. They were very nice and helpful about it. The manager said they have been having trouble with it all day. I am in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Shoot! my stores around here have been out since the other sale. Uuugh.

I hit 3 stores today, in Rhode Island, and only one had the sign up.
I bought two this morning, neither rr printed, but the manager put the amount on a gift card for me! I’m in Austin TX. Question, was the coupon regional? Wasn’t in my insert….thanks!
It was very weird. The first one I went to didn’t have it so I went to another one ON THE SAME STREET and they had it. Weird.
My store didn’t have them either! But I have the coupons if anyone wants to trade for them! 🙂

The sale signs were up but the shelf was empty at our store. The mgr. said that he has about 20 couponers that line up as soon as the store opens and clear the shelves. I said I thought free after RR offers were one per person and he said they should be but it’s hard to stop. I just wanted 1 jar and he said Walgreens can no longer offer rain checks for sales connected to a RR. BUMMER! We only have 1 Walgreens in our area so the hard core couponers are ruining it for some of us who just want a few deals. Don’t get me wrong, I like free as much as the next person but save some for other people!!!
And that is why I prefer CVS. I am a-okay with limits.

Mine worked fine, without limit for both flavors! I picked up three jars!
My store in Houston TX had two of the cinnamon raisin so my mom and I each got one and the RRs printed. No sign.
Where are you in Houston, Charity? The one Wags I went to on Blalock didnt have any.
My store had 2 chocolate cherry and 1 cinnamon raisin, sale price was not advertised but rang up at $2.99. Same experience as others though, printed reward for the cinnamon raisin but not the chocolate cherry but manager was able to print them for me. Will check other stores tomorrow but from all the comments I am happy to get 3, lol.
My 4/7 SS has $1/2MQ. Can anyone clarify if the 1/27 SS $1 MQ worked on the pb (or is it only intended for “nuts”)?
It states “$1 off an 1 Planter’s Jar, Canister, Bag or Multipack (6oz-16ox, any variety except almonds). It seems like a YMMV type Q. But again, the MQ doesn’t specify nuts or pb.
Someone emailed the company (during the last Kroger mega event) about the 1/27 coupon and asked them. They emailed back that it could be used for the peanut butter.
My store in South Hill, WA did not have the peanut butter and had the sign up! The cashier said they are getting a shipment at the store tomorrow so I’ll try again. They also didn’t have the toothbrushes either. Big bummer!
Gillette, WY didn’t have any peanut butter or toothbrushes in stock. Grrr!
How is this any different than any day I go to shop at Walgreens? They never have what I am shopping for in stock. Last week I had 7 things on my list–they had none of them. That was the first time I had been there in months. Not planning to go back.
The manager at my store said the same exact thing that they are having an issue.
Hit 5 stores in metro Chicago on Sun. NONE. Mgrs said special promo, we do NOT carry that item. No sign about later supply/deal. No offer of a substitute which would not give RR/allow the coupon.
I have never heard of WAG extending a RR deal. I believe that will happen as much as I believe in the tooth fairy.
went to my store around 2 pm found 4 of each flavor, and they were not marked, i only took one because the manager at that walgreens enforces the limit of 1 per household even if it’s in different transactions, which i don’t mind because they always have what i need in stock.
can anyone answer a question for me–i tried the Almay deal at Walgreens this morning-they wouldn’t allow me to use two $4 coupons on 2 almay makeup-removers because one was 50% off and they said it was below the cost of the coupon… isn’t this against the coupon policy?
I had a similar situation … the first cpn went through for $4.. then the 2nd cpn he manually entered at $2.74 the cost of 50% off.. because he couldn’t give me $4 off a $2.74 item… but he could only give me $2.74 off.. It surprised me because I did this deal at another store with no problems… I left paid and went back in the store and spoke with the manager and she said if both coupons scannned ( which they did) he should of accepted them .. They get reimbursed from the Manuf. so she gave me the price difference…
I feel they should of took both of your coupons… Go back and speak with manager …

i have been disappointed with walgreens lately. Past few weeks I go in for sales items but has mostly been out of stock. Manager said some couponers came in on Sunday 3am and cleared the shelves. How disappointing. Another walgreens limit only 1 rr item as well regardless how many people you have with you.

Darn! I just realized my q’s are $1/2 so they wont work with this deal. Grrrrrrr. I just got a call I had my order in. Oh well, free is always good!
My Walgreens didn’t have them on Sunday but On Tuesday both my stores got them in so I was able to do this deal… they also gave me a rain check on Sunday and extended the RR …. HTH
