Could I use RR’s to pay for part of the $25, or are the RR’s considered Walgreens coupons? Thanks!

It works out to $1.25 if my calculations are correct. Not much to get excited about.

I agree. Nothing too great but better than nothing if you plan on going there anyways.

I know a lot of people dont like their new program but if you do it right, it can be wonderful! I only buy items I use that give balance points and are paired with coupons. I paid next to nothing for items and got balance reward points. So today, when I had $105 in balance rewards and $40 in Register Rewards, I used the last day of their Walgreens brand generic OTC items. I got $170 of all the OTC items we will use in a year (such as Tylenol, Benadryl, Tension Headache, 300 pills of generic Clairitin, Zantac, etc) for FREE by using the Balance Rewards. At Christmas, when I was out of money, I remembered I had $50 in Balance Rewards and got my Christmas photo cards for free too! So if you do it wisely with great sales, coupons, and items you will use for sure, it can be very much worth it. My entire year long supply of all OTC items we use is set for a year, for FREE! 🙂

The sale was buy one get one half off on generic Walgreens OTC items. So $170 of items for $145.

I agree, I like the balance rewards program. I even do the health log online to get extra points. Still this offer seems pretty lame.

5 cents per dollar. Let’s all run. Guess its better than nothing. This week seems to be a slow Wags week so maybe they are hoping this will bring more traffic, the kind that can’t do math.

Yes, it definitely isn’t worth a special trip, but I need to go Sunday anyway to use up my Almay coupons w/ the May book, so it’s a nice little bonus. 🙂

😉 Just what I was thinking!

I like Sams Club or Costco for generics. 400 Generic Benadryl for 3.99, 750 Ibuprophen $6.50.

    • Rachel

Where do you go to find the generic stuff?

      • mel

Generics are normally on the same shelf as the name brand items.

        • Rachel

Thanks for your reply! I don’t have a Sam’s Club membership so I’m not familiar with their merchandising!

I spent $36 this morning but $30 of it was phone cards so I didnt get any points 🙁 Also couldnt use the BR points I already have to pay for it because you cant use BR to pay for phone cards. Too many exclusions in this program, it rarely works well for me.
