I refuse to step foot into a Walmart. But I will gladly take their ad to Target (which I just did!) and have them price match it!

    • tracy

walmart is the worst grocery store. but that is just my area. idk about others. the employees are rude. customer service is horrible and has no lanes open ever. they have only a few and have long lines. the only reason i have gone sometimes is because they sell different brands that with coupons would make it free. havnt been in a walmart in years tho

    • Jessica

Where did you get an AD to get Target to price match?

  2. Jes

I got this today! I had to search for Blu-Ray/DVD combo (and they only had 2). It was not marked at 19.96. I had to scan it to be sure.

  3. Cara

Hooray! I’m off to see the wizard!

  4. crossfirext17

Remember your copy of Oz does NOT have to have the peelie to get the free ticket!!

You just need to make sure you get the “yellow” package (The Blu-ray+DVD+Digital Copy) and enter the Disney Movie Reward code online and you get the ticket 🙂 . It’s attached to the code, not to the “Box”.

So if you get it from Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Amazon, etc… as long as you get the yellow/Blu-Ray+DVD+Digital Copy edition.. you’ll get the free ticket!

      Good to know, thanks Jason!!!!

  5. Crystal Feaster

The dvd version is $17.99 at Target

  6. paris013

Anybody know how much the 3d is?

    • crossfirext17

When you buy the version listed, inside is an offer that lets you buy the 3D disc for only $5.95 from Disney Movie Rewards when you enter in the code inside the packaging… that’s by far the best deal to go.

if you buy the 3D Combo back.. you ONLY get the 3D and the Digital copy (no DVD and no single disc blu-ray). So you can still play it in 2D using the 3D player, but it’s still not as nice as having a seperate 2D blu-ray disc.

      • paris013

Thanks! That’s an awesome idea I didn’t know about! Is that all new Disney blu-rays?

I’m always looking for ways to reduce the expense of my boyfriends’ Blu-Ray habit!

  7. Ashley

I hate to sound stupid but I will be able to watch this in a DVD player right? I’ve never bought a combo pack but I’ll assume it’s a blu ray and dvd so I could watch it in either? I don’t have a blu ray player but this is cheaper than just buying the dvd. Thanks for any clarification 🙂

    • Cara

Ashley, in a combo pack you get multiple discs – one will be a DVD, one will be a Blu-Ray. So you should be able to play the DVD in your DVD player just fine. 🙂

      • Ashley

Thanks Cara! Just wanted to make sure 🙂

    • tracy

if you want the dvd why would you pay for the combo if you dont have a blu ray player. but it is a cheap dvd so whatever. i never even see a difference in blu ray movies lol they all look the same quality for me

      • Jes

This combo is cheaper than the DVD version with the coupon.

    • Kathryn K

i look for the blu-ray/dvd combos because i can use the dvds now in dvd player and still have a blu-ray if i ever get a player. some parents like dvds for kids or in the car for travel and keep blu-ray for home.
also, some combos for various movies are blu-ray with a digital instead of with a dvd, so always look carefully.

  8. Katie

I’m not sure of anyone elses review of this, but we saw this in theaters, and I wasn’t a very big fan of this :/

  9. Stacy P.

I just bought this todays. Ours was not signed so just be sure to scan it 🙂

  10. Charity

I will be going to purchase this for my kids later today, thanks for letting us know about this great deal!

  11. Sabine

I got mine today from walmart but it was $24.95 and even rang up that way 🙁

  12. Jessica

Has anyone been able to print this coupon?? I’ve had trouble on two different computers.

  13. Allison

My Walmart in Pocatello Idaho said when I called for the price of their Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Combo, they said it was $29.96. Perhaps I should go to the store and do a price check??

  14. megan

if anyone cares, this was a horrible movie. the worst one i have seen in a long time. a pretty big flop if you ask me, i felt like it drug on FOREVER in the theater!

    • Jessica

I am watching it now and this it is great!

    • shell

      Agree.

    • tilla ham

I agree megan, awful acting, witches are apparently all a tad slutty and even the kids were bored, thumbs down for me, but for a free movie ticket to a movie I want to see, might snatch it

  15. Andrew

Just went to Best Buy and they PM’d the Walmart price of 19.96 for the bluray/DVD combo. Plus, I used the $7 coupon and also used a $5 reward zone certifcate.
    Finally cost: 9.01
I planned in advance to do this deal at Best Buy and was a little worried they would run out of the combo packs but, they had a TON of them.

    • Jessica

Where did you get an AD to get Best buy to price match?

      • Andrew

I went to the walmart website and there was a link for the local ad. I entered my zip code and it was on the first page. I then hit prt scrn on my keyboard and opened microsoft word and pasted that print screen.
I then printed it and highlighted the dates of the sale and showed it to the cashier at my best buy. They price matched it no problem. No manager override needed. Plus, they even asked me if I wanted the paper back, I said “sure”.

  16. Louise

Sent my DH to Walmart & he could only find the basic dvd version for $19.96 and the Blu-Ray/Digital version for $24.95. No 3 way combo Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital to be found, with or without the free movie ticket offer. 🙁

I’m going to check another local Walmart tomorrow & see if I have better luck.

  17. Kathryn K

i feel this is not a kids movie. they talked too much of his womanizing ways for me to allow little kids to see it. and yes is was a little boring at first. it might even scare some young ones.

  18. Dorothy

Just got the last copy at Walmart! Thank you. I wanted this movie so bad. I saw it at the movies and love it. It was the only movie I regretted not watching in 3D. My dad named me Dorothy after the original.

  19. Amy

My Walmart did not have them snickered the sale price but rang up perfect. Thanks for the deal. Goodyear, Az location

Just a heads up, We went and bought this BluRay + Digital copy and used the $7 coupon and paid just 12.96 well little more plus the tax. But when we opened it we found out that with the code inside for Disney movie rewards we could get the 3D movie disk for just 5.99 and we looked at the 3D movie and it is 34.96. So we just got the 3D plus BluRay for less then it cost for the BluRay movie, Great Deal!! Just thought you would want to know this. Oh yea plus on the case you get a free movie ticket to see the Lone Ranger! So it was a good night. 🙂

  21. shell

I saw this at the buck theater and thought it was kinda boring; not a kid movie just in case anyone is worried.

  22. gina

    Not a good movie imo.

  23. Roxanne

I got mine. but I’m having trouble with the code it says “unknown” =/

  24. Amie

Does anyone know if the movie code will let you see another movie other than Lone Ranger or it Lone Ranger the only movie it will allow you to see. I know in the past some of the codes let you get into any movie.

  25. Tanya

Thanks to this post I was able to get the combo pack for $9.16. We price matched at Bestbuy. It took some covincing because the walmart ad says “DVD” but shows the combo pack for $19.96, so I had my husband bring this post up with the picture of it in store and they gave us the price match!
So, after the price match, the $7 off coupon and a $5 best buy reward certificate (which I only got from collecting points online), it was only $9.16. But then you get the reward points and the movie ticket. I personally love this movie. I think it’s tragic and beautifully done. I think people have a problem with it because they are expecting the exact same movie as the original.
Great deal regardless. Thanks for posting Collin, if you hadn’t, Bestbuy wouldn’t have price matched.

  26. Cara

I liked the movie – I wouldn’t call it a classic but it’s fun. I did have to hunt all around at three different Walmarts before finding the Blu-Ray/DVD combo. I’m so glad I was able to get one before the coupon expired. Good luck to everyone still trying to find a copy at the $19.99 price!

  27. Jessica

Does anyone have a code for the 3D version they wouldn’t mind giving up?

    • Ketsy

My dvd has a code for getting the 3d version for $5 or something like that I dont know how it works but if you do and need it.. I have no need for it. 😀

  28. Ketsy

Super excited. I was able to get it for the discounted price at walmart and got the free movie ticket and also the points took me to enough for my starbucks card WIN ! yay . Thanks Collin for all your deals! You’re the best.
