Just got 3 in MA! Sa-Weet!!

  • Susan says:

Just wait, it worked after 5 minutes

  • pao says:

try to reserve them again with same email address, it will tell you you have already been confirmed for the screening and it will give you the option of email tickets again or print again, click on print again and your ticket will appear, then you can print it!
i was able to finally print it this way :D
    good luck!!

  • erin says:

OK so I ‘got tickets’ but i go to print them out and it says ticket confirmation for it’s other wise blank. no ticket information.. anyone else?

    • mindy says:

try to refresh the page to see if they give you the option to email or print again. That’s what I did when I got blank page

  • Katiria says:

Thanks, It took a while but it worked, now I just have to try to come home from work early enough so we don’t miss the movie! (it’s first come first served)

  • Ketsy says:

Ok so to everyone having a hard time: Patience is Key. I’m on a mac and tried different browsers, refreshing etc. So then I decided to try again and just clicked on the login button and left it as is. Went to do something else and came back and second page was there… I hit confirm and left again and when I came… there it was! One click and lots of patience :D

  • Liz says:

Aww sold out in my city. Oh well, my daughter shouldn’t be at the movies at 7:30pm. She’s 4 :).

  • Carrie C. says:

Bummer! Not in my area. We absolutely LOVED Despicable Me!! And we’re all adults! I think we saw it like 4 times in the theater. I just hope the 2nd is as awesome as the first one!! Can’t wait until July 3rd! Congrats to all who could get in to the advanced screenings!! Hope you have tons of fun!

    • mindy says:

I’ve never been to pre-screening before…but base on comments about standing in line for 1 to 2 hours and this is a children movie, I think there will be lots of whinny childrens uncluding mine until they open the doors :)

      • gohogsgoinar says:

For the kids movies there are almost ALWAYS things to entertain the kids in line and in the theater. Lots of freebies and trivia questions and dress-up like your favorite character stuff for example. Nothing near me this time but we’ve been to a lot of premieres and love the buzz and excitement. :)

  • Leslie says:

Bummer! The nearest theater is 75 miles away!

  • Alvina Lansang says:

Yay!!! Finally, I got 4 tickets for my family (San Bruno, CA) after trying so many times :). I also got an email confirmation. Weeeeee :)

  • Sam says:

So I resent my conformation and I get the email, but I get something that looks like this. When I try to print my conformation I also get this same message.
Fatal error: New SQL Error #1053: Server shutdown in progress in /var/www/universal_pictures/universalscreenings/api/db.php on line 36

  • Melanie says:

My son is 2 and Despicable Me is his favorite movie. Oh those naughty Minions! We didnt want to spent all that money for tickets if we would have to leave after 5 minutes since we aren’t sure how he will behave or deal with the loud noises. This is perfect. Thank you SO much – we have free tickets now and if we have to leave after 5 minutes, it doesnt matter because it hasn’t cost us a penny. So grateful to you for posting this.

    • Lisa says:

Just an idea, but you might see if a movie theater in your area offers free summer movies, before you go to this which will be really crazy/crowded and possibly overwhelming. I have a 3 1/2 year old and I wasn’t sure how he’d do but we went to Alvin & the Chipmunks-Chip wrecked for free this week and it was great.

    • Rae says:

Also, the Regal here will give you a pass for another ticket if you have to leave early! Their CS is awesome.

    • Alea says:

Just get there EARLY at least an hour before show time – advanced screenings are first-come, first-served and they always over distribute tickets especially to the popular movies!

  • Cynthia Lawrence says:

Want free tickets to Despicable Me 2

  • adri says:

been trying for 20 min n it wont work

  • Conswalla says:

I couldn’t print the tickets from the site. I kept getting a fatal error. I’ve checked my email twice and no tickets. Oh well. I’ll just pay for 3 tickets and enjoy the movie with my boys another time. Can’t get every deal every time. ^__^

    • Jano says:

Same here! I amnot able to print it because it gives me an page error and I didn’t recieved confirmation email :(

    • Barbara says:

Try now I had the same issue just went onto site deselected the time and theater I had reserved. Told me sold out but now there is a link that asks you if you are looking for your tickets. I was finally able to email them to myself.

  • tracy says:

selected the city but theres no choice for the theatre

    • Lisa says:

give it some time, or try a different browser, that’s what happened to me, and finally after about 30 minutes of trying, I switched to internet explorer and it showed up and did the drop-down to show the movie theater in the area.

  • Kim says:

    AWESOME! I just scored mine!

  • Katie says:

took a zillion tries but finally was able to print it after it showed up again. Having to show up a few hours early to get a spot in line might be the only catch with my husband so maybe I’ll be trying to find a friend to take with me instead!

  • Denise Annemarie says:

It took a while but I got them too! My question is how early do you need to go? I really don’t want to stand in a line for an hour and not get in. Do I really need to be there 2 hours ahead of time?

    • Susan says:

At least an hour. We went o The Internship and got there 70 min early and got in fine, but not the best seats. This one is pretty popular.

  • Lena says:

WOO HOO!!! Kids will be super excited! Thank you Collin, Heavenly Steal, and Coupon Pro!!!!

  • SLS says:

Thank you so much for posting about this!

  • Tara says:

Has anyone been before? I got tickets for a 10am showing and we have to drive 45 minutes just to get there (we live in a town that offers nothing haha). How early do we have to be to get a seat? Thanks!

    • Leslie says:

I’m curios too, our nearest theater that’s participating is 80 minutes away. Since it’s summer break and the kids don’t have to be up early, we were going to make a late evening of it. But, I don’t think we’re going to go. If it’s not a sure thing that we’re going to be getting in, i’m not putting out the gas money & time. We’ll wait until it comes out on netflix or redbox!

  • gabby says:

are these free? they dont say free….. just confuse…..are all the advance screenings always free. I have never been in one. Thanks for your answers. I dont have the money to get there with mi kids and buy tickets

    • tracy says:

it is free. ive been to 2 advanced screenings. they know what it is. it is held not by the theatre. the ppl who make the movie or whatever hold it in theatres around the country. they are totally free. just have your id that has your name on the papers and thats it.

      • Nardy says:

WHAT!!?? I signed up with my coupon FB page which don’t have my real name. :(

        • tracy says:

o no. that is what happened when me and my bf saw fast 6. the second they didnt check names because there wasnt as much ppl. but if there is a whole group of people they will do the first come thing. they have a list of names and how many tickets they had. if your name is nardy “last name” they have that on their papers and you show them your id. no id. no real name. you prolly cant get in.

      • rachel says:

What about kids? My ticket says “1 seat” but I requested 4 (myself and 3 kids). Will they turn me away?

  • Sharon says:

Just reserved 4 tickets in Pgh!! Just be patient on the site. You don’t have to refresh just select city and wait a few minutes and then the theater option will appear and then select the theater then you have to wait another few minutes for the number of tickets option to appear. I just did it and it worked.

  • Michelle says:

I have never worked so hard in my life for a freebie. Thank you, Collin, and all the tips from the Hipsters!

  • Beverly says:

Had problems with site but after being patient but finally got email for tickets

  • amy says:

I got the message stating “my submission is complete” your tickets have ben emailed to you. But I NEVER received an email. Anybody else? It’s been 2 hours.Help!

  • fawn says:

Got them!!!THANKS A TON super pumped

  • LadyO says:

I requested 2, but only got confirmation for 1. Now they are sold out. Not sure what happened.

  • stacey says:

After I din’t get the email for over an hour, I tried to sign up again. It told me I already had a confirmation and asked if I wanted to resend the email. I said to resend it and I got the email almost immediately.
Hope this helps some people who didnt get the email

  • amy says:

It wont let me sign up again because our area is now sold out. Any pointers? I never received the email but I did get the page that said my submission was complete and that it’d be emailed to me. Frustrating!!

    • Barbara says:

Try now I had the same issue just went onto site deselected the time and theater I had reserved. Told me sold out but now there is a link that asks you if you are looking for your tickets. I was finally able to email them to myself.

  • coupongangsta says:

I know this is a long shot but if anyone is not able to make it in Atlanta I would really appreciate them. my email is coupongangsta1atgmail. Thanks so much if its possible! congrats everyone who was able to score!

  • Nathalie says:

So I had gotten tickets, the page had said that my tickets were going to be emailed to me but it hasn’t so I refresh the page n try to resent my tickets but now it said that no tickets for my email???? Is anybody else getting that too

    • Kathy says:

      Same here

    • Maria says:

same here, I emailed them but no response, real bummer because the family was real excited about this!

      • littlemaha says:

What email address did you send it to? I am going through the same thing. I got the confirmation but it wouldn’t let me click on the print button. Then I refreshed and it started over… and now it is all sold out. I clicked on the button to reclaim the tickets and it says that there are no tickets associated with my email. I called the theater and they said that Universal Pictures rents out the theater and they have nothing to do with it. I guess I will just have to wait and see if I end up getting an email… here’s hoping!!

  • claudia says:

I’m so sad, I didn’t get the email, i went again to the page, I try to resend my tickets and it says:No tickets for this screening are associated with the email address, I think I entered my e-mail wrong :(, if anyone that live in orange county, ca is not going let me know, I need 4 tickets.

  • Kira says:

Thanks for the heads up. I got 3 tickets for my family so we can take my daughter!

  • rosana says:

    all out for AZ

  • Patrice says:

I have a voucher for 4 people…my husband can’t go now. Will they still let us in if there’s only 3 of us?

  • Jessica Lara says:

    I want these tickets please.

  • Maria Whitman says:

I would like 4 tickets I live in chesapeake va thank you
