we just returned from Disneyland. We saved the most money by finding a hotel with continental breakfast. I filled a suitcase with microwave noodle bowls which we heated in our hotel microwave for dinner. The noodle bowls are really light for carrying in a suitcase on a plane. We also bought discounted disneyland tickets and brought our own glow jewelry for nighttime. I also bought pins to trade on ebay ahead of time and the kids loved this the best.
Any tips for deals at Universal Studios?
Yes! You should really check out mousesavers.com she offers several links including free lunch cards for kids, hotels & tickets plus a ton of ways to save money. Good luck!
thanks Thia I thought they only did Mickey deals!
Realized today I can’t even afford to take my daughter to Disneyland, even though her Irish Dance comp is at the HIlton across the street next Wednesday. Yes, I’m grateful she does this dance and has this talent. But yes, we sacrifice a lot to do it. I promised her and I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do 🙁 Venting.
Does anyone know if this cd has the current info on all the new stuff at Disney, like fantasyland?
We just came back from a 10 day trip to Disney World, and I must say it was great! For our family of 4 we spent $3655 for every single expense for our vacation, including a 2 week car rental (we drove down from NYC) gas, 11 nights at a 3 star hotel, food, parking and souvenirs. The biggest expense were the tickets because we had park hopper options (which i will skip next time because it wasn’t necessary) and water parks. The food prices at the parks were not that bad, we would eat a free breakfast at the hotel, bring lunch (sandwiches from subway with condiments on the side so they wouldn’t get soggy) snacks, frozen water and drinks with us to the park in the mornings and then have a counter service meal at the park for dinner. Priceline was offering a great promo for the Disney tickets (cheaper than undercover tourist) when I booked, and then I used Hotwire for the hotel ( used their secret hotel deal and saved more than half off our hotel, and finally used Priceline for the at rental ( the trick here was using my iPhone to book which gave me an even better price than their regular site). Also study mouse savers.com and plan your daily itenarary to save time at the parks. We didn’t think we could do it this cheap for all of us but we did and it was well worth it.
