Be sure to mark your calendars – only 4 more days! 😀

In celebration of Cow Appreciation Day on July 12th, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who comes to one of the chain’s 1,600+ restaurants fully dressed from head to hoof as a cow. Also, Chick-fil-A will award a FREE entree to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory. Decision of what qualifies as fully-dressed versus partially-dressed is at the discretion of the restaurant Operator.

The gang all dressed up in 2011 on the Hip2Help Tour 😀

Need some inspiration for a cow costume? Check out these ideas from Chick-fil-A…

* Start with items that you already have at home – cow- printed accessories stashed in your closet will work perfectly. Hats, vests, scarves, neckties, pants, shoes, pajamas – just abut any cow-spotted item will work. Just make sure you’re covered head to toe!

* Wear white, and then just add spots. Throw on a white T-shirt with white pants (even sweatpants) and stick on your spots using black contact paper. If contact paper is not easily accessible, you can cut spots out of construction paper and tape them to your shirt and pants. If nothing else, you can grab an old white T-shirt and color black spots all over it with a magic marker.

* Go to your local paint or hardware store and get a white painter’s hat and overalls. And then decorate yourself with spots made out of contact or construction paper.

(Thanks for the photos, Tina!)

They can’t tolerate gays but walking in with udders sticking out your front is perfectly acceptable. They can keep their free meal.

    • Mandy

LOL who cares about the gays? FREE FOOD <3

      • E

        gross comment.

I’m right there with you, Janet.

Who invited the bad news bear? A company has the freedom to defend their values. You can run your company or household as you please.

      • michelle

so if their values were they disagreed with African Americans, Asians, women, mentally challenged and advocated against that population , would you defend that freedom too? By vocally segregating a group from your business, you are making them feel unwelcome, thereby losing present money and future revenue. Same thing with A&F and their narrow minded CEO.

This isn’t a political blog, it is a savings blog. I would dress up like a cow for a free meal any day, especially if the food is yummy like Chick Fila! Thanks for posting!

I’m right there with you! Last year I spent $7 on a yard of cow fabric and made my two little girls some skirts and myself an apron and the hub a hanky for his head. We got 4 meals free so a total of like $25 free food. This year Im recycling last years and made some hair clips ears with felt for the girls 😀 I’m in for free food.

Chick Fil A is definitely yummy! Good post, Meryl 🙂

What exactly do you get? Do they decide what to give or we decide what we want?

    • makaylaisabel

If you only wear a piece of cow attire such as a scarf, purse, headband etc you get any entree. If you wear full cow, spots ears, etc then any meal from the menu per person. 😀 the only exclusion is no lemonade and no desserts.
