I question whether this is a good deal since most of us do not have a need of the plus membership. The regular membership is only $40 unless it has gone up to maybe $45. Any feedback?

I was wondering the same! Feedback would be appreciated.

      normal membership is only $40?

Honestly the Plus membership used to be a great deal because it included free roadside assistance, which they either did without or charge extra fees for. The elderly get more from it because of pharmacy discounts etc but only if you use a lot and don’t have a better insurance already. They have however started putting up coupons and special prices throughout the stores on different items. Seems like a gimmick to me but plus member get something a dollar or two cheaper. You also get to shop from 7am instead of 10am so avoid the masses and double warranties on electronics (if you are one to buy these). If you are getting a membership anyways, then its worth it. You get your $15 of food and $30 gift card so the membership for $55 you will make up those $15 in sales. I personally don;t think its a great deal, but if you will use those few features then its a win.

Regular (and Business) membership is now $45. All that you get extra for the Plus membership is 2% cash back, an extra year of a warranty when you purchase a warranty plan, and cash rewards ($10 for every $500 spent).
In my Opinion, not worth it.

I absolutely love the ‘Plus’ membership! You can get in at 7am M-Sat. This is a great win, especially if you have little ones in tow! No one is in the store and it makes returns and browsing the isles breeze. Also, when you purchase electronics using your ‘Plus’ membership at Sam’s the manufacture warranty is doubled and covered by Sams at no additional charge. If that wasn’t enough, you also score ‘Plus’ membership only coupons to use in store. I wish I could purchase the Groupon! Smoking deal!

Still not convinced. Thanks for all feedback though…

I agree. The last time they offered this deal it was $40.

This deal seems like a ripoff. The last deal was $40. It came with 2 food vouchers and a $20 gift card. This not worth it. Save your money and wait for the $40 deal from LS. I’m glad I bought the previous deal.

I don’t think its worth it… I paid $40 for the deal with a regular membership

agree not worth it. Plus I find the items at Sams cost no less then at walmart or much higher prices if you do coupons. I go for the samples on the weekend and maybe get the already made things.

We did not have membership when we attended the Sam’s Open House event this past weekend. One of the sales clerks approached us about getting a $40 dollar credit on our purchase of $100 or more on Saturday (only) if you opened a credit card account. We decided it would be a good opportunity to try them out for a while for cheap since we had over a $100 in goods in our cart. Basically got $40 off the cost of a $45 membership and then also got coupons for a free roasted chicken, free pasta salad, $3.50 off a flat of waters and $3.00 off peaches to use in the next two weeks. Came out pretty good. Have a Costco membership and their rewards program is far better so never really could justify a Sam’s membership until this deal sort of walked up to us.

I took part in this deal the last time they had it for $40 and you got all kinds of freebies. It turned out to be a joke for me. My local store did NOT carry all the “freebies” that the deal offered and they did nothing to reimburse for that part of the “deal.” I was not all that pleased with it. Plus, I have found that the prices are mostly not that great.

This may not be the case with everyone, but I am speaking from my own personal experience. I doubt that I will even renew my membership when the time rolls around. It just is not a big cost savings for me.

Does not seem like a good deal to me!
