And if you want to get a head start on Halloween, all items in the Halloween shop are also 30% off. Plus, be sure to browse through the Sale section to take an additional 20% off already reduced merchandise. Spend at least $75 and you’ll score FREE shipping (otherwise, shipping is a flat rate of $5)!

The team over at Gymboree.com sent me a $50 gift card to purchase items in preparation for this giveaway. Since a new school year is just days away (yikes!), I thought it best to snag some items for my daughter, Piper, who will be starting First Grade. As you can see from the picture above, I chose the Owl Lunchbox and Backpack (backpack no longer available 🙁 ) along with some cute hair accessories. I like the fact that the Lunchbox is designed to be attached to the backpack with side clips – and who can resist the adorable Owl?! I have always been impressed with the quality of items made by Gymboree and these items are no exception.

I agree.. I have a little preschooler who starts school in 2 weeks. I love gymboree clothes. 🙂

  2. Teri

I’ve never shopped here. Even the sale prices are up there for me 🙁

    • Renee

      Completely agree Teri.

There’s been a few times I’ve seen lots of clearance racks for 3.99/5.99. My LO is growing too fast but when she gets a little older hopefully I’ll be able to avail those clearance deals

Gymboree prices rarely get low enough in my area (I don’t think I’ve ever seen clothing as low $5.99), and I am NOT a fan of their (and Crazy 8’s) return/exchange policy, so I rarely shop there now.

i love their clothes but i also agree that their prices are kinda high. I just wait for sale and try to use coupons on top of that.

We LOVE Gymbo! My 4 year old begs to go there and even my hubby can spot Gymbo clothes on kids when we are out! LOL

I have to say, Gymboree does have excellent quality clothing. Although I’m not a full price shopper, I frequently get the 20% off coupons in Parents or Family Fun magazines that I combine with sale prices to get some good deals. Especially for seasonal or special occasion outfits when you plan to take lots of pictures of your kids wearing them, it’s worth it. They also have a high resale value on Ebay, consignment stores such as Once Upon a Child, and even at garage sales.

Finally I have to say THANK YOU Collin for posting this giveaway. Had I not entered, I never would have seen the adorable online only Dorothy costume available at Gymboree! I’ve been looking for one that’s good quality so my daughter can wear it for dress up as well as Halloween since she’s in love with Wizard of Oz.

I can’t say enough good things about Gymboree. The key is shop ONLINE. Buy last SEASON styles at 70 to 80 % off, use a 20% off coupon on it, get gym bucks for later use. I have never paid over 5$ for gymboree t shirts and 8$ for bottoms. I love the quality so much,I rearly shop else where and.. They have great shoes and hair too. Their hats are awesome. I paid 2-3 dollar for most hats and eye glasses. Online stuff is so much better than trying to rummage through clearance shelves, and the stock is often fresh and comes home in pristine condition. Love gymboree:)

i agree that you can get GREAT prices here if you shop when they have sales..often they offer and additional percentage off of sale items or the entire store and then the key is to use the 20% off coupons on top of those prices. Remember to look for the coupons in the magazines at the library, doctors offices, etc….My kids are probably 75% clothed in gymboree and i have never paid full price for anything there. Big red ballon sale has stuff for .99 (.80 after coupon!!) and 3.99. i will say you have to stop in often to see what is going on for sales, markdowns etc. or shop online. often only a $5 shipping fee. The best thing is that the quatliy is so great i am usually able to re-sell at consignment afterwards. My only gripe with online is that sometimes the same items are actually cheaper in store. I think this is a recent change. My daughter had 3 (really nice) hats this summer that were .99!

I snagged that backpack and lunch box for my daughter, who just started preschool this week (my baby days are officially over! 🙁 ). It was easily the cutest backpack I’d seen and I was pleasantly surprised when my daughter instantly declared that she loved it… as a bonus it was on sale for 30% off and I had a 20% off coupon so the price wasn’t bad. I hope it holds up for a year or two…
