I sure wish I knew where they donate the shoes. We are stuggling this year and my boys don’t have shoes to start school. I see all these things people donate but never seem to find out how to apply for them.

      Where are you located?

      • debra

We live in Sunset Beach, NC between Wilmington & Myrtle Beach, SC.

Thru this site I signed up for kids eyes and parent speak (same company) ….I have made $43 and my daughter is up to $50 ….took about a year but save for school next year…just a thought…

      • jennifer

        Sorry…they are a survey company…

    • christine

I’m pretty sure they donate them to third world countries who have never had shoes

      • tilla ham

        they do christine

      • Tina

I live in oklahoma hit by disaster when went to pick up relief items they asked for our families shoes sizes, Tom’s had donated shoes for all the victims. Made a fan out of me for life.

    • tilla ham

debra, please call your childrens school and ask to speak to the school counselor. every single solitary school has a system in place to help, all you need do is ask. many times it’s something as small as paying a field trip fee for a kid, and sometimes as big as a pair of shoes, they may not be fancy but if they don’t have the funds to outright buy you shoes, they will tell you where to go.

    • Tina

Debra if someone hasn’t done so already I’d be happy to send the kids shoes. Please email me at couponcrazykc@me.com. Just need sizes and your address.

  2. Ashley

Wow, $40 for kids shoes isn’t very hip….

  3. Not at all

There is nothing special about these shoes, especially for $36 ( lowest price I found). The similar style is $6.99 at Sears. With $36, you sure can buy at least 5 pairs. Keep one and donate 4 pairs. How is that?

    • holly

Then you won’t be cool and “trendy.” (Sarcasm).

These are actually much better quality than the store brand shoes I think you’re talking about. These have leather insoles with arch support, and I have never had an issue with washing them in the washing machine, which I can’t say the same about deck shoes and Vans brand shoes (around the same price range), since the toes tend to curl up when they get washed. They also have a really good resale value if you consign or eBay your kids’ outgrown clothes. I recently saw a pair of TOMS mary jane style shoes at a Rhea Lana sale for $15, and they sold FAST.

      • kelsey

Yes, my daughter actually has a pair from K-mart and within 3 days of wearing them they were falling apart. She says they hurt her feet and points to the arch. (She is 3). If you are looking for long term quality or are counting on hand me downs for younger children, I highly recommend the Toms. BTW, K-mart clothes are generally our outside play clothes/camping clothes, as they just don’t have the longevity other brands do.

I was excited to get an email for 10 off a purchase, to get me to come back to them. Ordered last year at the holiday time.

  6. Bridget

These have arch support??!! I just can’t believe that lol.

    • Margaret

They do, believe it or not.

    • tilla ham

they do…and when my girls go to Europe for 17 days next year, they will be wearing toms with their dresses. You cannot wear flip flops to walk miles in nor are they appropriate in fashionable Paris or respectful in many of the chapels, but toms were highly recommended by their teacher they are going with because she trekked all over Spain in them this summer with no feet pain

I love Toms shoes for so many reasons! This really is a “hip” deal for this shoe. I was so surprised when I first ordered my son a pair over a year ago and how much support there was in that little shoe. Not to mention how cute they were on his chunky little feet. I love them too! My first pair I bought two years ago is finally falling apart because I wore them daily for so long, but I still wear them. 🙂

  8. Em

Toms are one of those things you can’t appreciate until you wear. We are Vegans- they have a great Vegan line! They are so comfy and have nice support for everyone from my flat footed husband to my high arched daughter! Don’t go cheap and buy knock offs- they are not the same

    • Willa

Tom’s was all we bought for my husband for many years. They last much longer than some of the other places. I would rather pay more for quality and have them last and be able to have them give to those in need at the same time than to buy cheaper shoes and have to replace them 4 or more times in the time Tom’s will last. Plus, hubby is not one that likes to shop—-even for himself. Since our last move we haven’t been able to find a place near us to buy Tom’s. I have never ordered them online, but may this time.

  9. Angie

I got a pair of Toms as a gift. Great arch support. It’s been 4 years, there a hole in it, but still looks good and I still wear it- hole and all. Also, I washed them at least twice a year.

  10. Jen

I ordered a pair earlier this year from Zulily and they had a hole in the toes after a month. My daughter likes to wear them but I can’t justify the cost after that experience, plus they get dirty super quick,

  11. kimnelly

I think they are overpriced there has to be something between the cheapos and these! My teenage daughters buy them (with their own money) and they do not last very long at all. I think they are kind of scam.
