I something like this that I purchased at Walmart. It takes more coffee grounds than I thought it would to brew one cup of coffee with this product and the coffee is weak compared to when I make a full pot of coffee with my regular (non-Keurig) coffee pot.
Does anyone else prefer this over the kcups already pre-made?
We would if we could actually get it to work. We have made lots of messes and weak coffee but nothing we would want to drink on a daily basis.
I had similar issues until I figured out the following: You have to make sure the coffee is not packed into it, loosely fill it with coffee grounds. Sometimes I will tap it on the counter to settle the grounds in the filter. Fill it to about 1/4 to 1/8 of an inch from the top. Make sure that there are no coffee grounds on the rim or the lid so that it gets a good seal when you close it up. This should make a good strong cup of coffee without the mess or leakage.
Family Dollar has a 5 count (as seen on TV) for $10.
Sounds like a pretty good deal on K-cups. Thanks for sharing. Also to note, coffeeforless.com has good deals on coffee supplies. Cheers!
