ToysRUs: Attend FREE Thomas & Friends Play Date (September 14th from 11AM-1PM)
If you have a Toys”R”Us nearby or have a Thomas & Friends fan in your household, you may want to make plans to head on over to your local Toys”R”Us store tomorrow 9/14 for a fun and FREE Thomas the Train Play Date. From 11-1PM, kids ages 5 and up will be able to participate in fun activities, story time, and receive special savings! Go here for more details.

You would think younger kids could take part. Most boys age 5 and up aren’t that interested in Thomas anymore. Oh well.

I would think so – when they’ve had the free Lego events, they let my 4 yr old participate even though designated it was for older kids… They are pretty easygoing, but if it’s a drive for you, maybe call ahead?
I just called and they said younger is fine. They just say that. It’s just coloring and story time.
I took my 2 yr old (huge Thomas fan) this past summer and he was pretty bored. They handed out coloring pgs, coupons, postcard, and cheap paper bk. I really wouldn’t go out of your way to go.
I went and would echo the comments above! It was very low-key. I will say I was pleased with the employees and their flexibly… Kids were supposed to complete activities before getting their prizes (a small poster, hat, little puzzle) but they allowed my son with special needs to bypass all of that.
