Toluna: Product Testing Opportunities + More

12:06 PM MST
The links in the post below may be affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

Have you signed up with Toluna?! If so, did you know that in addition to being rewarded with cash for taking surveys, Toluna Panel Members also have the opportunity to test out products for FREE as a Toluna product tester! If this sounds right up your alley, then you’ll definitely want to sign up for the Toluna Panel Community!

Once you have completed the quick Toluna registration (note that you’ll need to be sure to click on the link in the confirmation email that is sent), click on the Rewards tab located in the menu bar across the top of the site and click on Test Products.

You’ll then see the current product testing opportunities that are available (you should see an option to sign up to test the new Spiderman Wipes with Aloe Vera). Keep in mind that not everyone will qualify to test this product. If you do not qualify, you’ll have the option to sign up to test other products in the weeks and months to come.

Come back and let us know if you have ever been selected to test products with Toluna!

I tried this and I would say it is more of a scam. Basically, I signed up and then every time you take a survey you get “points”. Then you can click on the reward you would like to redeem with your points. Once you click the reward you chose who you would like to send it to. Then, it says “see if your gift is real”. You click on it and you get to see if the gift is “real” or “virtual”. So you get to see if you get a bouquet of flowers sent to your home or if you get a virtual bouquet of flowers. I have never received a real gift, only virtual :(

I wouldn’t sy Toluna is a scam, but I’ve had just a mediocre experience with them. It takes FOR-EV-ER to get enough points to receive a check. Many times you’ll start a survey and spend several minutes or more only to find out you don’t qualify. I’ve also had issues with completing surveys, then not receiving points because somehow it doesn’t go through. Whenever I find myself doing a survey, I think, “Why don’t I just go get a real job!?” Talk about bad return for your time…

This is basically a point site. Answer polls and get points. They also have surveys with points associated. The only problem is that it takes 60,000 points to cash out for $20. Every once in a while you will get a 10,000 survey but it will be a 2-4 week project. Not the best site but not a scam site. Just do not do the gifts just save up your points.

I test cosmetics regularly for Good Housekeeping.
Never any monkey business and the products are really nice!

“Username unavailable” on any and all entries, even garbage ones like ZZty75980 and Kingertide201 ….. :(

I’ve been a Toluna member for about 2 years and it does take a long time to accrue points. I cashed out for $20 once and have only gotten to test one product. I find I usually don’t qualify for most surveys because I work for a radio station.
I wouldn’t say they are a scam, but you won’t get much out of it unless that’s all you do all day, every day.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!! I signed up and within a couple of hours, my inbox was slammed with spam.

  • Elizabeth says:

I think I’ll pass as well. I don’t need my inbox bombed with spam.

  • Laura E says:

I do not have any spam from them at all! .???
