      Got the same message!

I just updated the post with the following message:

Sorry for the confusion on this. I filled out the information and then it said I would be invoiced for $16.00. So do they send me a bill and I just write “cancel” on it when it comes? I thought they wouldn’t be sending me anything but the free issue.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You actually don’t need to do anything at all as it truly is a risk-free trial. My contact over there verified this as well. Sorry for the confusion.

  3. Evan

I just read it more clearly, I believe you just throw it away and don’t pay! Sorry for freaking out hahaha!

  4. Sarah

Yeah, mine said that too and I am not please with that. I was just trying to sample it for the 1 free and I feel bamboozled.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Sarah,

As I stated above… sorry for the confusion on this. When you fill out the form for the risk-free magazine issue, it will state that you will be invoiced $16, however, that is ONLY if you opt to continue receiving issues after your first issue arrives. If you do not want to continue receiving issues, you don’t have to do anything at all. I verified this with my contact and it is truly a risk-free issue. Plus, no credit card info is required.

It keeps telling me that my city, state, and zip code doesn’t match postal records. But all of my information if correct.

Glad I came and read the comments… was freaking for a minute. lol

I guess if we get a second bill, we will then write cancel on it and send it back.

  8. Heather

Hi all! This is Heather, Editor of Good Cents Cooking. You can absolutely get your free issue without getting a subscription. You have no obligation to purchase the subscription. However, you will be sent a bill so you can be locked in at the special discount we are offering Hip2Save friends. We hope you love it so much that you continue to get the magazine and if so then you will have already locked in at the great deal. If you decide you don’t want it after getting your first issue then simply toss (or recycle) the bill. Like I said you are not obligated to purchase. I hope this helps the confusion.

  9. Felicia

    Got it thanks 🙂

  10. Jonna

Not really happy today. I received a bill when I didn’t agree to the subscription. The kicker I don’t have the free issue yet. Guess I know what magazine I won’t get to read.

  11. Heather

Jonna, sorry that you are not happy and that you haven’t received the free issue yet. We have been told that there are issues with deliveries being delayed once it leaves our facility. The promotion did state that you will receive a bill but you have no obligation to take it. It was only to lock you in at a discounted rate for Hip2Save fans. If you don’t want to take the magazine then you can simply disregard the bill.

I received my free copy this week. The bill came a few weeks ago if I want to subscribed.

Is there a phone number to call and ask questions at Good Cents cooking?
