Yesterday, I shared with you here some ideas on how to make lunches for the kiddos affordable and easy. If you missed the video, check it out below…

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-o0n3QneGkY]* If you can’t see the video, go here to watch it.

In addition to the video, I thought it would be great to put together a roundup of printable coupons for lunch box type items to score you some nice savings on your next trip to the grocery store…

And finally, one of my favorite places to stock up on lunchbox goodies is actually not even at the grocery store, but over on Amazon! You see, on a regular basis, I head over to the Amazon Warehouse section to check out the grocery bargains they have available. It seems that their stock changes often, so there are always new products to browse through. What I LOVE most is that they often have organic and natural products discounted more than 50% and most items ship FREE with Amazon Prime or on $25 or more with Super Saver Shipping.

* Note that most of these products are approaching their sell by date (however, I’ve ordered warehouse items many times before and the expiration date always seems to be at least 2 to 3 months out from when I receive them). Also, keep in mind that they usually don’t have a large quantity of items available at the low prices listed, so if you see something you like, I would suggest purchasing it right away.

Here’s one Warehouse deal I just spotted:

You can score a 24-pack of Nacho Cheese Popchips single serve bags for only $14.03 by scrolling down to the bottom and adding the Warehouse deal to your cart. That breaks down to just $0.58 per bag! Plus, score FREE 2-day shipping (no minimum!) with Amazon Prime or FREE standard shipping on $25+ orders with Super Saver Shipping.

Happy Lunchbox Packing! 😀

Are you thinking of making these lunchbox coupon roundups a regular feature? I think it is great! Sometimes all those coupons listed in your other posts can overwhelm me (although I definitely *love* that you do that and often look forward to those posts as a great time-saver for myself).

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great idea! Thanks for the feedback.

Oh Jennifer B…I thought I was the ONLY one who felt overwhelmed with coupon roundup. Though I’m totally appreciative, it does make my heart beat a little faster…HOPING I don’t ‘miss’ what I really need.

You are awesome. Making those sandwiches on a Sunday and throwing them in the freezer is such a genius idea (along with the pineapple juice)! I have no clue what Amazon Warehouse is – but I’m about to investigate. You have saved my family so much money.. so I truly thank you!!

I found really nice lunchboxes on clearance at Target yesterday for $2.48. (70% off) Several super heroes, colors and styles.

  11. Leslie

Love the uncrustables idea, thank you!

  12. Sheree Powell

I would love to hear what’s good from Amazon Prime. I love hearing about the Fruit Strips and goldfish. Loved the video and shared with all of my friends on FB.

  13. Karen

Loved the video. Now if my picky kids would actually eat the stuff!! I was on the couch watching this and my 6 yr old was next to me so I told him to watch. He said no to the cold corn, no to the honest kids juice(I bought it and ended up drinking it myself) and pretty much no to everything else except the ‘uncrustables’. I usually make them buy so they can be picky in the lunch line.

    • cathycampo

what if the honest kids juice was the only juice in the house, then would he drink it? what if you stopped buying those other items and only bought these other items, like corn, then would he eat it? i don’t buy that other stuff, so my kids don’t have it as a choice.

  14. Nancy

So how do you do the apples with the pineapple juice? Do you soak them and remove them or leave them in the juice?

    • Kim

I was wondering the same thing. If you soak them, for how long?

    • cathycampo

i think you just dunk them in the juice or just want the surface of the apple to be coated with the pineapple juice. it’s the surface that is exposed to the air and turns brown. the apple does not need marinated.

  15. Anna R.

Question when you cute the apples do you just pour the juice on them?

    • cathycampo

i have a friend that said she does what collin does. she dunks each slice in the juice. or she puts all of the slices in a ziploc bag along with a tiny bit of juice and swishes the whole thing around and pours off excess. you want the surface of the apple slices to be coated. it’s not a marinade. they are not submerged in juice for long period.

  16. Yi Ju

You are so cute. Thanks for the tips! Always love checking your site.

  17. Kathy

My first go with the Uncrustables was a fail! Do I need to make sure my bread is EXTREMELY fresh? I think that was the problem.

  18. Sonia

Have you ever done the “uncrustables” with gluten free bread? Love the idea, my preschooler just got diagnosed so the gluten free thing is still very new to us so I will probably try it since I need lunchbox ideas just not sure if any brands work better and if the frozen options would work at all (like udi’s).

I second the thought the a lunchbox roundup would be great even if only once or twice a month!

  19. Marissa

Where do you buy your lunchbox kits? Those are SO cute!
