Well, a House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like us. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Sargento) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House party let you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

I’ve heard about these House Parties, but never been motivated enough to apply to host one. However, the whole Lego/Duplo one is too awesome to pass up, so I did apply and shared it on facebook. Just wondering if anyone who has been selected has a time frame for how long it took to get approved, and any advice on how to ‘up’ your chances for getting selected….besides keeping fingers crossed!
I’ve had a LOT of House Parties (like 5 or 6 now) and I think my best tip is do everything they offer. If they tell you that you can upload a video, do it. If there are options to “start a conversation” on their message board, do it. I’ve never been selected when I didn’t do every available option. There are a lot of people applying and they only want the most energetic and enthused ones. Good luck! 🙂

I got selected for this party, and I am totally psyched! My kids loooove Duplo!! I also got selected for the Simple party, but I didn’t respond in time. Just goes to show you, you can be picked! This will be the 4th party I’ve hosted, and the 6th I’ve been selected for (two I didn’t respond in time – you’ve gotta be quick, but it’s worth it!!).
So bummed, I was selected and apparently I had 30 minutes to invite people but I was at work. I wish they would give you at least 24 hours. I had just checked it hours before. :/
I got selected to host a Lego Duplo party too! 🙂 I have never hosted one before and wondering what we are expected to give away and what we can keep. The instructions on the site are vague. What are the rest of you going to do? Thanks!
I got selected too! My kids jaws are going to hit the floor when that box arrives Monday! In regard to what to keep/give away. I believe you keep the Lego duplo sets (but have them out to try and play with), and give away the stickers and crowns. I plan to have the movie they give us playing in the background. I assume that’s how it’s done? I suppose you could play a game and use one of the sets as a prize, or do some type of drawing for one set at the end. But, the purpose of the party is to invite people over to try the products- and your reward for hosting is to keep the toys 🙂 we are going to serve Lego duplo shaped cookies and I saw a “pin” to turn water bottles into lego men. Should be a really fun time!!
