[h2s_box]About a month ago, Collin posted about some fake plastic roaches you could order online for only $1. I started imagining all the fun I could have scaring my kids with them and decided I had to have them! I had not realized when I ordered them however that the shipping on them takes a very long time.
Fast forward about a month, and one day I got a small manilla bag in the mail – I had honestly at this point forgotten I had even ordered the bugs, and assumed it was a necklace I had ordered on Amazon a few weeks before. I ripped open the envelope and dumped the contents into my hand fully expecting a necklace to fall out. Imagine my surprise when instead of a necklace falling out, a bunch of roaches fell out instead. I screamed so loud and sent plastic roaches flying all over my kitchen. Unfortunately, my husband and two boys where all there to witness this scene. They all got a great laugh after they found out I got them in order to scare them.
My kids quickly gathered them up off the floor and took off with them. Ever since these fun little roaches have been showing up all over my house each time giving me a great scare. So far they have showed up in my makeup box, on my laptop, and even in my cereal. Even though I know they are around, it still scares me every time! So I guess in the long run, the jokes on me instead of on my kids like I had planned. Be careful what you order as a prank, cause it just might backfire on you big time! I live in FL too and my husband screams like a little girl every time he sees the little one let alone Daddy roach! If I put these on our bed I am pretty sure I would end up single!! LOL

I jumped and dropped mine but didnt scream and no one was around…those things are almost too gross to touch even now that I know what I’m touching.
my 4 yr old was adamant about taking them for 4k show and tell but they didnt fit the requirements for that day’s theme so i finally convinced her to put one in her “folder” at school where her teachers put pertinent info for parents and take-home artwork,etc eachday …I think I might be as excited as she is to do this;)
oh and i sent a pack to my sister last time too and she saw that it was from overseas and flipped when opening with excitement to see what someone sent her and it was filled with bugs! she’s havign fun with them too.
Going through my Halloween stuff I found a big rubber spider. My daughter was out for her jog so I put it on the sidewalk for her to find when she came home. When she yelled for me to come look at it, I picked it up and threw it on her. Wow that girl can scream! We are also in possession of a very real-looking pile of fake dog poop. We had fun one April Fool’s Day placing it on the sidewalk at the kid’s soccer game and watching everyone sidestep it as they walked by.
I had ordered them too about a month ago and nearly had a heart attack when I opened them.

That story was HILARIOUS!!!! I don’t like bugs, but after living in Alabama and Guam, I absolutely HATE cockroaches! They are so disgusting, so I can definitely see me falling for it every time, too. I would have a really hard time with that! LOL
Living in Texas, I wouldn’t be able to tell if it was a real one or a fake one. I would have to assume they’re real all the time!!! I would hate to think it’s a fake one and pick it up and it starts crawling! Ahhhh gives me the shivers just thinking about it

I bought a very large paper mummy from the Dollar Tree and hung it on light fixture in our apartment hallway. I knew it was there and have opened the door and walked past it a few weeks already. Yesterday I opened the door and scared myself! There was a slight scream. Thankfully no one was home but the dog and cat, as I am sure my family would have has a lot of fun at my expense!
I just sent some to all my family members! Can’t wait to here about their scares!

This year I gave my neighbor permission to expand his outdoor very over-the-top Halloween display onto my lawn as well. As I was leaving the other night to do some late night grocery shopping, I forgot about the display. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a tall dark figure standing near my car. I started screaming and freaked out. After I realized the figure wasn’t moving I remembered it was a fake dummy. Of course two days later I jumped out of my skin again at night from the same thing….
I brought one of these bad boys into my marriage and waited about 2 weeks after our honeymoon before I decided to try one out on my terrified-of-all-bugs hubby. The reaction I got was priceless and after about a month of scaring him he told me he was afraid to come home after work and to please dispose of the roach. Hmmmm….I’m thinking I need to order some since it has been 7 years. 🙂

Cockroaches are my biggest fear! Lol even If I know they are fake I still can’t stand to be around them so if I had dumped those in my hand- I probably would’ve ended up hurting whoever was around me! Lol
My coworkers at the bank and I hide these around the building. One girl always screams when she finds one and it always makes for a great laugh. We are always excited to get a new coworker because we get to try it on someone new. Even our favorite customers have gotten “surprises” with their cash back. Have fun with these everyone!
